  1. Give me a Gemballa GTR-Evo II or RUF Turbo R Porsche. Or a TVR Cerbera Speed12 Or a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale Or a BRABUS SL65 Or a Rennteck Viper TT Then bring your Mines R34 and we'll race LaL (at the track of course, officer ) GT-R is beaut and I'd donate soft, squishy parts of my anatomy to own one but for me Euros are still supreme. That's my 0.000000000000002c anyways....
  2. I'm around on the Coast either drinking at Terrigal on a Thursday night or around the Ourimbah/Tumbi/Entrance/Terrigal area on the weekend. You'll know me, I've got the white 5L Commodore that's beached on cat's eyes :hellpisd:
  3. You bastard. I'm greener than the stripes on John Howard's Wallabies' track suit....
  4. Talked to Adam last night at Terrigal, seemed to know his stuff and was pretty cool They've got a website at: www.tmautosports.com.au
  5. Wow, old thread reborn. Oh and on top of the GT-R in't a GT-R unless it's a Skyline, what aboot the Silvia/200SX? I dunno why they didn't call the 350Z the S16...
  6. He's also got a black R34 GT-R Nur withe the plates "GTR"
  7. I wouldn't mind shoe-horning the Typhoon's 270kW/550Nm motor into a 2dr shell that weighs around 1300kg, paint it black like Mad Max's and call it the BA Interceptor.... Mmmm, smoke-alicious :headspin: :burnout: :bananaman
  8. Anyone deal with the Toyshop in Cardiff?
  9. Mmmm Porsche, I think they named the band Lagwagon after a 930 Turbo. Mind you, there's a decent number of RUF and Gemballa Porkers getting around in Nippon and they're worth the hassle! I actually priced importing either an E30 M3 or E34 M5 BMWs but the LHD conversion on them put it into silly money. I'd only look at LHD Euros if they were rare (Alpina, Brabus, etc)
  10. Bring a hair dryer and some paper towel. Mmm, nice dry track with only 2 cars to race....
  11. Actually, it's Eleanor and it IS a regular GT500 as a KR runs a 428ci V8 where Eleanor has a 427ci (supposedly)
  12. Hang on, the Tommy Kaira web site is still up and fully functioning and there's recent news items on it! www.tommykaira.com You sure they went bust, or did they just sell the designs of the ZZRII?
  13. Derek Bell is a god. All hail the 956, although the 1970 917/30 had up to 1500hp... Mmmm... Penske's SUNOCO 917/30....
  14. Hahahahaha, Supertourers having fatter tubs than a drag car, bwahahahahahahaha. Funny man, you make me laugh! You've obviously never watched Top Doorslammer or Supercharged Outlaws then, how 'bout Pro Stock? Sydneykid, according to GRM the "Meganaros" (as they call them) run alloy four-bolt Chev blocks of the same specification as the C5-R Le Mans Corvettes. There's no cast iron in them. I'm sure if someone built a Dodge Viper SRT/10-R to the same level then it'd be a fairer fight, the problem is there's not enough companies with the money to buy Ferrari 575GTCs, Lambo R-GTs and Maser MC12 (or whaddever ya call it)
  15. Ylwgtr2, check out the JGTC web site (www.jgtc.net) from the last two years, they're VQ engines since the GT-R finished production!
  16. Erm, ylwgtr2, the GT500 GT-Rs have run a VQ30DETT for a couple of years now... Just like the GT500 Supras run V8s (a stroked 5.3L 3UZ-FE Lexus mill), as does the HKS Mercedes CLK (a Merc 5.0L). The GT300 350Z uses an NA VQ35 and revs out to 850rpm (or near there) Oh, and the Monaro might make 600hp from 427ci, but it's redline is down near 5-6000rpm so it's not spinning like the other cars in the class (Ferrari, Porsche et al) If you put JGTC up against Nations Cup, there's no way the Aussies would win considering the level of modification the Japs are allowed. Although, if someone was to bring in a Ferrari 575GTC, Chev Corvette C5-R or Lamborghini Murcielargo R-GT it could be a different story.
  17. Pity the 2005 Mustang runs a LIVE AXLE and 300hp (223kW, can't match the VYII SS's 245kW)!!!! But you've gotta love the historical significance of the paint job, GO PARNELLI JONES!!!
  18. Ido09s, I've met Greg, seen the car in real life and spent over 6hours with it while it was photographed for SPEED magazine. I know what you're talking about, and that's my point. Greg kept the original character lines intact when he built the car while adding some serious girth (enough to get the track as wide as an R33 GT-R)
  19. Blitz, you talking about the RB26 and 4WD?
  20. What's so special? How about a custom widebody that keeps all the original lines?
  21. Guys, I'm looking to slot an RB25 into an 89 R32 GTS-t Type M and want to ultimately set it up in Touge-style (combine handling, brakes, hp & torque, etc). I wanna know if there's any noticeable weight difference between the RB20 and RB25 turbo motors? I don't want to turn the car into an understeering, nose-heavy pig.
  22. Mmmmm, GTRRRR. Want to donate soft, squishy parts of my body for that R32....
  23. Did it run lean? As the fuel pump hadn't been done?
  24. Hang on, you saw a REGISTERED Carrera GT?? Sorry mate, but that smells of BS. You sure it was the mid-engined, open-top supercar, or a 911 Carrera? Porsche haven't received ADR approval as yet to get them road registered and so far, none have been delivered to Australian buyers....
  25. SPECS: **1994 VR Series Commodore Executive BT1-spec (aborted live-axle police order) **White duco, colour-coded highlights **220,000km (over 150,000 is daily highway from Kariong-Newcastle) **5spd manual **304ci 5litre with full Pacemaker exhaust **17-inch VR ClubSport wheels (with lock nuts) **Lowered Whiteline suspension **Kenwood stereo **Full top-of-the-range Mongoose alarm/3 point immob ** Towbar **$13,500 ONO** I know the full history of the car. Was a cancelled police chaser order for Dubbo and was sold to Coast resident who used it for commuting to Newcastle up the F3 Freeway each day. Sold in 2001 to second owner whose father owned a mechanical workshop and had his blokes colour code the body, add clear side indicators, lower the car, fit 17s, add Pacemaker zorst and service it every 5000km. Since buying the car off him in late December 2003, I've had it serviced twice by my mechanic who informs me it's in A1 mechanical condition. If you're genuinely interested gimme a ring on (02) 9263 9734 to arrange a time to look at it
