New rims for xmas should keep the 34 happy.

I just bought a rb20 R34 haha, about 4 days ago. And i had no clue they existed either untill after i bought it and noticed the engine number started with rb20. And yes PM-R33, i was pretty pissed after buying it then noticing it was a rb20...pretty stupid mistake. And yes i was the person who posted the topic about the 2L rb20 r34. If it wasnt for the engine no. on his old rego i never would of found out. I guess thats what you get for a $13500 r34. (still worth it though) As for the power...just feels like any other inline 6, nothing really fancy, deffently doesnt feel heavy or slow.

Ive got a stock r34 GT RB20de, not to sure how rare they are, and since they were discontinued pretty early on, cant find much on them. So if anyone knows...Thanks.

Well after all that, I'm really happy with it. Way enough power for now and a very smooth/enjoyable drive. Very glad i bought it, always gonna be a bit disappointed that its not a rb25 but o well, good enough for a p plater.

Thanks for the info guys, ive never had to sell a car, so i didnt know how carsales work, but like you said GTST should of said it in the comments. And it was only $13500, so cant expect to much from it. But whats this about not being able to register in australia? It was registered in Tasmania but i dont know if you count that? (Im not trying to be a jerk i seriously dont know)

Thats fair enough mate but...there was nothing wrong with it, exterior was fine, interior was fine, mechanicly it was fine. Theres nothing wrong with it, but its not what was advertised which is what im trying to explain. Even if it i bought it for 19 thousand, theres still the chance of the same thing happening. Ill get a picture up soon, camera decided not to save the picture and now im at work.

Yeah they are, pretty dodgy, ill be replacing them rather soon so i dont really mind. The guy i bought it off reakoned he bought it like that.

Engine no. is rb20237187b Which would seem it would be an rb20, but i thought id post this anyway just in the hope that i was wrong... And like i said, i was told it was an rb25, personaly i thought they mainly came in rb25's. Had road worthy done, racq check, no where did it say on it or anything, didnt concern me at the time. Was only bought for $13500, which for an r34...damn cheap. And all this wouldnt be a problem accept...he said it was a 2.5L on carsales, which would be false advertising. Hi, just bought my first car today, which just happens to be an r34, and noticed the cover said twin cam 2000 Since im new to them im not sure how to tell if its a rb20 or rb25 and i cant find it written anywhere in the engine bay. I was told it was a 2.5L which would be a rb25 right? going to be pretty pissed if its not.

Hey im new ish i guess, and im about to buy my first car which as the topic description says Its a 99 Skyline r34gt 2 Door Non turbo which is good because i cant drive turbos (P plates) I had a look at it last weekend and the exterior is in pretty good condition other then few chips here and there. The interior is in rather good condition to just needs a good clean and detail. Everything with it checks out, not stolen etc etc, He had a accident recently with a kangaroo lol...Only damage though was to the front kit and a bar just behind the kit was bent slightly, but its all being replaced/fixed under insurance as we speak. Very very smooth drive aswell, rather amazed actualy... Only thing is hes selling it for $14,000? it seems oddly cheap? i could be wrong but... what do you guys reakon? All stock except a aftermarket muffler. Uh whoops ive posted in the wrong section...sorry, could a mod please move this to General Automotive Discussion
