anyone got any used 275/35/R18 tyres? as long as they have legal tread, dont care what they are.. Can anyone get cheap tyres NEW? need something to roll around on so im not wearing out $2500 of semi slicks.

just a thought. Someone who has been to a private day at Mallala before, would you mind posting up some basics on the Scrutineering side of things? ie: what type of helmet is required? does the car need to have a fire extinguisher fitted? are batteries in the cabin allowed? are screamer pipes allowed? are externally mounted cameras allowed? does the glass on the car have to be taped up? etc. Cheers.

Thanks for a great day rod! Sorry I had to leave so early, would have loved to stay for a snag and get to know some of the others. But for those who missed the "BBQ": Dyno Run 294.5awkw on 18psi @ 216km/h Should have been well over 300, but the lazy tune would be the cause of that. Nigel.

Navmans don't like being enclosed in anything. The LCD screens get too warm, from being in the sun too long, or not being able to "breathe", and the matrix touch-screens and the internal battery start having a hissy fit. The other issue you would encounter is, there will be limited GPS signal strength when the Navman is mounted out of LOS (line of sight). External antennas are available, but are unsightly and expensive. IMHO, its not worth the hassle. Nigel.

Condolences to you and your family mate. +1 on just hitting the animal. Reminds me of an accident I had in my Subaru a few years ago. I swerved to miss a koala, (out of instinct) spun the car 4 times and eventually rolled it into a ditch in the hills. No koala is worth peoples lives or limbs. RIP.
