  2. I've used Redline lightweight shockproof in my gearbox and transfer case in 2 cars for 2 years. I also use the heavyweight stuff in the diffs. never had an issue, makes shifts feel a bit more firm and responsive. worth the money in my opinion. Mr Niggles
  3. Anyone got a G-tech or similar? Need something that measures 0-100km/h times Would like to borrow for an evening please Cheers Mr Niggles
  4. Is that a Banshee Legend in the background??
  5. HAHA! i saw a black 200sx (i think) with big front end damage rolling down Magill road last night bout 7:30ish. then spotted a douche in a PINK RX7 on St Benards Road newton. thashring it between traffic lights.
  6. knowing that cops would be all over these cruises, I did not attend. Every year, around this time, there is a defect blitz. Looks like Regency will be busy in January as usual. On a side note. 11pm last night i went to the shops after I dropped my girlfriend home, and on the way back, I had a cop follow me for around 500M up North East Road. As soon as he realised I wasnt speeding or doing anything wrong, he proceeded to do a U-turn and follow a Lolux instead. COME ON! Sleeper Spec FTW. BITSUS.
  7. anyone got a G-tech or similar thingo? i just wanna measure my 0-100kmh times for a weekend. cheers
  8. early model R33 GTR's were push type too (mine) Also, when the conversion is finally all done and ur ready to test it, I would advise that you connect the plug under the dash and do a purge on the ATTESA before the first lap around the block. undo it again, and u are ready to go
  9. you and your GIFs!!! *i just sent it to my mate who works for CAT
  10. hehe figured it would be someone on here Nice Ceffy - certainly stands out!
  11. not sure at this stage. As luke said, January is hot, but i'm not sure I can wait till April for a fang! whn i have my GTR back together, I'll be more motivated to enquire about the days that are free in the start of 2010. *watch this space*
  12. I have Bilstiens struts, and they are awesome! not sure where you would get them from, but a good place to start would be SA Suspension Centre or Car Toque on North terrace
  13. problem all fixed and rectified. breather hoses were affecting AFM readings, causing an epic fuel overload, and fouling the plugs. new plugs, and i bunged up the breather hoses and it will see me till a retune! thanks for all the ideas guys! much appreciated! Nigel
  14. hey mate car is sitting at JMS for Brady to look at haven't reset the ECU no. (its a PowerFC) As for the BOV, I had to remove the stock ones because they were in the way of the front right wheel on full lock... Plus, I save a heap of weight over the front wheels by removing nearly 10 kilos of cast alloy pipes, recirculation pipes, etc.
  15. catch can and horns sold.
  16. as I sit here, oh so broken hearted, I turned the key but the GTR just farted. *sits and waits on driveway for RAA towtruck to turn up*
  17. Im planning on ringing simon tomorrow morning, but dont like my chances of having the car running for the weekend Also dont have much cash at the moment!
  18. does anyone have a pair of GTR AFM's that i could borrow for trouble shooting? im north east cheers
  19. well, still no luck after another 6 hours spent.. I have: checked all intercooler hoses/clamps checked all breather hoses/clamps checked my HKS BOV checked all intake hoses/clamps re-cleaned AFM elements, connectors, and even took the covers off to look for dry solder joints re-fitted the recirculation piping the way it was previously. still idles rough, and hunts for revs at 1500rpm, and when i tap the accelerator, it stalls anyone got any other ideas? its driving me nuts, and i want it running for the weekend!
  20. i was cruising to the servo, and the most it saw was about 8psi before it ran like poo
  21. boost gauge is only reading -15psi instead of -20 vacuum, so there has to be a vacuum leak somewhere. will suss it out better tonight.
  22. yeh i was there today too. PHAT34 has 1050hp apparently. BIIIG single turbo 26/30 by the looks of it...
  23. does anyone know if altering the length of the inlet piping after the AFM will alter the way the car runs? or should the tune pick this up and self-correct??
  24. i use the stuff at work all day long to clean electronic components and if it was the pipingm, why would the car run fine for the first half of the trip?
  25. hmms, i did tape up the connectors a bit, and did push them in till they clicked... would that explain why it ran fine for the first 1km down the road tho?
