Think i found why the car is running 18 Psi.... Had a mate look over the car and took him for a spin. He said its gotta have hi-flowed turbos and maybe hi flowed injectors, cos it goes harder than any stock GTR he's been in. Ahem. Does this mean the ECU has some serious tune and the boost restrictor has been removed?

ok. so my EBC is plumbed into the FPR, and car is still running stock solenoid and controller etc. So basically its just a digital boost gauge right now... The peak reading was 18.8PSI... which scares me..... why would it be this high? especially with that restrictor still in place? or boost cut on the computer? Did Autech remap the ECU to allow more boost? Do i have a stuck wastegate? Could first owner in japan have changed the turbos? What is a safe pressure for a stock RB26? with ceramic turbos? car goes in for a tune tomorrow morning, so im trying to dig up as much information as i can! i'm lost well and truly now.

Full boost the needle is just on or over 7. thats PSI not bar tho isnt it? in my RS260 (R33GTR)

Stock boost guage reads 7..... i only picked this car up a few weeks ago.... so who knows whats been done to it

im at a mainly youth orientated church, so my car is alredy the fastest one there.

haha! I still like my chain of ponds - mannum - eagle on the hill route yes? no? Eagle on the hill is great for photo shoots, done a few there before.

Thanks mate. I'll get my mechanic to change the oil and see what the difference is. Sounds like a full rebuild of the synchros and a new clutch is the way to go, but in due time... What weight shockproof oil would you suggest for the GTR box? Got any part numbers? Cheers.

i just installed the vacuum line to the Fuel pressure regulator. Ive got a strange feeling that my car is already running 14psi.. even without the solenoid connected up to the main unit. I hope not, cos then i will be dissapointed after my tune... .

where do you hook up the unit's vacuum line? it says in the guide to connect it to the fuel pressure regulator? where might i find that? photos would be a great help right now... im lost :S

For those of you who missed the cruise yesterday (24th Aug), I'd like to put forward another Stagea cruise for a few weeks time. Starting at same location as last time, i propose: A saturday cruise (less traffic up these roads) 10:30am start: Newton shopping centre carpark- to Birdwood via Chain Of Ponds for a stop, then up to Mannum for a BBQ lunch (some looong straight roads up there..), Back down the freeway to Eagle on The Hill for a photoshoot (very quiet up there these days) Finish in the mid arvo. Open to suggestions. Nigel.

I can make it to birdwood in 11 minutes from my house. AHEM. May i lead this next cruise? know the roads like i know my umm.... anyway. Starting at same location and leaving around 10:30 is a great idea. Making it a saturday would ensure less traffic coming up the hill too. I'm thinking newton - birdwood for a stop, then onto mannum for lunch(looong roads to stretch the legs), back down the freeway with a wind down eagle on the hill for a finish in the early arvo?? Its been too long since ive been on a car cruise. The last cruise i went one, there was ALOT of stupid driving, and one guy actually had his car impounded . I assume that we are also aware of the SAPOL drink driving and seatbelt blitz this weekend? Mainly out north apparently, but its a rumour its too cold for cops, so they will be all at Maccas instead... Im hoping that we are all responsible drivers, especially in the wet... AHEM Also, whats the rough route of the cruise? keen to know where we are headed so i know what kinda driving to expect...hills? freeway? city? Nige.
