Quentin from Just Cars is the assessor, he is pretty chilled about getting cars repaired. I had mine towed directly from the impound yard to Morpowa, where it was inspected. They leak tested, compression tested and pressure tested the engine, sussed out all the ins and outs, and obviously repaired the broken bits. Best give Quentin a call, and ask for his advice, but I would highly suggest getting the car towed to a reputable workshop for a full once over before anything.
Also, Quentin was happy for me to supply quotes and parts and to assist with the the repair process, which sped things up a bit: ie: I went and dropped my rims off to get repaired, then off to get new tyres fitted, and returned them to Morpowa while the gearbox was being rebuilt, to save some time.
