Ah well Im aiming for 450rwkw at arounf 1.0-1.2 bar, If i get power hungry I want to make sure I done need to gringe every time I give the car a boot full, so Carrillos are the way I am going besides at around $1100 + machinng which is around $600 your not far off $2,400 for the carrillos, and if you do ever need to rebuild you can just buy one carrillo not 8!!!

The RB25 rods are not 6" they are around the 5.7 from memmory GR8NES

Steve the rods that can be made to fit are Small Block Small Journal 6" Rods, If you can find out seems there are 3 pepole interested and see what they can do for 3 sets Jordan

Well they are fully prepped and Cryo Tuff may strengthen them further but not sure. 2400 is cheap for Carillos ARGO's are around the same money and NIZPRO quote $3600 for Carrillos they are the best you can get for a street engine. May be if we ask for two or more sets we can get a discount ???? GR8NES

I learnt that the V8 Chevy Small block 6" Small Journal rods can be machined to fit, I am still deciding which path to take since they are rated at 800HP for eight, then that makes 100 per rod which in an RB means 600HP at the flywheel, I am aiming for closr to that at the wheels, I am able to get a set of RB30 Carrillo Rods for 2,400 which will take 800HP and 9000rpm quite easy. Unless someone else has used the SCAT, Eagle or equivalent rods with success at say 600HP at the wheels with proof I might bite the bullet and go the Carrillos. GR8NES

Well all I can say if from what Ive seen is that if VORT N setup ran a 10.6 in an R33 with wheelspin then this should get close to a 10.0 or even 9 in a well setup R32. He is currently selling his setup if you are keen i can ask how much he wants but it is now been rebuilt with ARGO rods and all the rest. It will do a 9 sex pass easy

It would be alot easier to go the proven method of suing a 3 Litre bottom end and twin cam head. Don't bother with the RB20 Head go straight for an RB25DET head and this will easily make you get into the ten's with a total standard head and standard bottom end with forgires and balancing. If you need proof VORT N the skyline ran a 10.6 with this setup with just a big turbo, fuel system and other boltons eg. Cooler, plenum. GR8NES
