  1. who wants to bet the cops don't do anything even if they find a match for the prints ? I'll give you 10:1 odds. Best thing you can do for yourself, your family and your car is move to a better neighbourhood. Yes I know, not an easy thing to do but neither is putting up with crime all your life. I wouldn't live in Campbelltown or Ingleburn areas if you paid me (and I'm easily persuaded with money!!)
  2. the JJR front/dump pipe is pretty decent .. its the one I have on my GTT and no issues with it. Get a highflow metal cat so you don't have to worry about melting its interior if you take it to track etc. Also a silent exhaust (catback) like the HKS Silent Hipower (91dB) should keep the cops/EPA off your back
  3. thing is most people have more than one dent so it adds up I might give him a call down the track, thanks for the recommendation. Did you used to go to Peakhurst high by any chance? Your name looks familiar
  4. I thought the army likes weapons ? I say keep it, f**k the golf.
  5. I gave up on the idea when i realized where this place was (near Goulburn) I thought it was west/southwest sydney lol ..confused it with another similarly sounding suburb in the west of syd
  6. cops are usually pretty cool if you don't act like an asshole UNLESS they have a quota to fill and unfortunately due to massive budget deficits that we read about in the papers every day, more and more of them are turning to absolute twats to the point of faking speed readings to hand out fines (personal experience), just to fullfill their quotas. The labour state government has really and truly f**ked this state up the ass. Most depressing thing is there's no one else to vote for because the other side is even worse.
  7. sydney needs another race track no further than 100kms away ..goulburn is just too damn far away (2 and a half hour drive each way blergh)
  8. someone take the coil packs and I'll throw in the stock radiator for free and some NGK coppers
  9. that's a good effort, congrats =) Yeah I'm quitting the smokos ... used to be much healthier 2 years ago until I got a semi serious shoulder injury at the gym (was a gym junky / cardio + weight sessions almost daily) I do enjoy riding but the smokes are definately killing my lungs and need to go if I'm going to get anywhere. I'm lucky in that I did quite a bit of cardio until 2 years ago (daily 40-60 mins on the gym bikes at pretty hard levels) so I'm familiar with the pain process and I know it's not gonna be so hard forever. I can't wait to get my slicks delievered though, the knobby tyres are a bit of a drag on the street really
  10. hard to enjoy riding a bike when you smoke a pack and a half a day and are 20kg overweight
  11. yeh says expecting delivery mid november ..not in any particular hurry tbh as I ride very infrequently
  12. just ordered 2 x Continental City Contact 26x1.5 tyres and 5 tubes/levers from wiggle.co.uk with free shipping ..total $91 Best price I could find on that tyre locally was $59 for just 1 tyre Hopefully it doesn't take more than a couple of weeks to get it.
  13. no one needs to keep their engine cool this summer? oooh don't wait til its too late!
  14. nobody needs coil packs ? BUY 1 GET 5 FREE people LIMITED OFFER * *cost of 1 coil pack = $200
  15. In a way you're right ..they can't or won't do shit about serious crimes like thefts, burglaries etc so maybe that's why they're so good at handing out a $1billion worth of speeding fines every year. Why bother doing the real work if people might accuse you of harasment when you can harass motorists sitting at the side of the road eating donuts all day.. oh the popcorn wasn't free, pm me for donation details
  16. hey there is/was a sticker on my wheels when i got the altitude that specified 26x1.5-1.95 so I'm assuming that means minimum 1.5" width..how strict are these specifications? I might try the michelins instead of these cheapies as the cheapies are innova and can only go up to 65psi like the 1.95" knobbys which is strange. What's the model name/number for the michelins?? I'm 6'5" hence the big frame ..
  17. you're definately loco for buying a mazza but atleast for a while you're gonna drive a rare sports car.. then when you come to your senses you can always jump into a r34 vspec I'd love to see how this car fares on the track .. or is it not going on the track ??
  18. got an apollo altitude 24" (61cm) mtb last week ..it's only a $500 bike but who cares. The standard mtb tyres are a bit of a pita for the road/footpaths, was wondering if changing to a 1.5" slick tyre (stock one is 1.95" knobby) would help in riding on the road to the shops etc ? found these really cheap slicks at $16 each at torpedo7.com.au with good reviews ..worthwhile upgrade??
  19. that's because R34 (GTR/GTT) thermostat starts opening at 82c and is fully open at 85c (or 86 can't remember exactly now) whereas the R32/33 starts opening at 76.5c I think it's an emissions thing, R34 engines like a bit more heat. To bleed properly try this .. get a 2l coke bottle (clean it out obviously) and cut the bottom off. Stick it inside the radiator opening and seal the area properly so that coolant can't escape. Poor the coolant in and overfill so that there's like 10-15cm of coolant in the bottle ABOVE the radiator cap. Run the car like this for 20-30 mins. You'll see an absolute insane shitload of air bubbles come out through the coolant in the bottle as the car warms up. I couldn't believe the amount of air that came out when I used this method. Probably about 20x more than I got out using the engine bleed screws. If it's still overheating make sure your fan shroud is on properly .. without a shroud it will always overheat no matter what.
