  1. I just got that Glassylite product off ebay (about $40) it comes as a kit incl. 2 different wet sand papers, a polish and the all-important sealant that's supposed to stop the issue from reoccurring... gonna try it today. Will let you know how it turns out. I have the same sort of crap like llama_au above, it looks more like stress fractures than oxidation.
  2. I sold mine for $400 iirc with decent rubber ... they're good looking rims and good size but unfortunately anything that's stock people usually try to change..
  3. its luck of the draw ..in general, their stuff seems to be of average quality but their workmanship (fittment and painting) is an absolute joke. Trial fit anything before you buy..
  4. yeah doesn't look too bad but I doubt they would deliver to Australia so you might have to get it through an import service like importmonster so the price would probably blow out to $700-800 Another thing that looks a bit worrying is the fact they replaced the turn signal lamps with LEDs also .. from what I've read LEDs aren't suited for turning signals. If you do get it let us know how you go and post up some pics
  5. I wouldn't change the front bar, that looks awesome especially since the middle section is black matching the bonnet... The Impul frontbar is very meh. GTR wing on the other hand is always nice but ..pricey. God I wish I'd bought my R34 in that silver ... looks so nice and its easy to keep clean.
  6. fark Moei that front shot looks awesome! The red GTT above also ...btw that's not a top secret bumper, looks like a custom design of some sort (TS goes down straight from what I've seen, yours has a plow sort of look at the bottom..)
  7. the eastbear lip is FRP (fibreglass reinforced polymer) so it's plastic but reinforced with fibreglass for extra rigidity .. atleast that's my understanding of FRP
  8. nissan are always gonna overprice them .. genuine OEM units are $560 delivered from Japan http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/Nissan-OEM-Bra...der-BNR32-53710 For me rebuild is not even worth it due to kit+labour costing more than a new OEM master ($400 delivered for R34 GTT)
  9. Thanks David So many things I still want to do to it ('cosmetics' wise) but lack of funds are holding me back at the moment. Want to put black carpets in and my creme leatherette covers ($1k) ... eastbear lip ($1k fitted atleast) I need to start working harder and making more moulah Worried about the eastbear lip's practicality ... even as it is I've scraped my bumper a few times already and the lip would add another 7cm. Hm worth it ya reckon?
  10. you'll only get guesswork here because it can be so many things... sounds like something you should be taking the car to a performance car specialist/mechanic for. Get it on the dyno and let them figure out what the problem is before it becomes worse.
  11. got the skirts and rear bar from carmate ..the side skirts were a decent fit but they rushed the trimming and screwed it up in a few spots. The paintjob was a joke so if you do get it from them don't get them to fit/paint..
  12. might be cheaper to put a GPS or some sort of guage in that spot and kill 2 flies at once
  13. can anyone recommend some type of sealant to use to run along the edges after putting the lense back on? Something like sikaflex automotive ..would that be a bad idea? Just to ensure a good seal ..
  14. If it's the same as one out of a GTT and it's in working condition ie. no fubared seals (my pedal keeps sinking very slowly when I put my foot on mine) consider it SOLD. I'll take it!
  15. whaaaaaat? $1300 for the bonnet and the whole kit ?? Nice score there Last time I checked the bonnet alone goes for around $900 As for boot ..IMO that would look tacky, stick with the existing one
  16. the plastic grill that sits between the 2 vertical parts in the centre of the bumper just below the bonnet... is that what you're talking about? How much did that bonnet set you back? CF or FG? How's the quality ? Edit: dont mind me the retard force is strong with me ... there's no grill even on the stock bumper as per http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a227793-
  17. hm car's quite low I don't think I'll be able to reach from under the front .. any DIY "hoisting" techniques I should know off ?
  18. Woops never mind just found the DIY tutorial http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gt...er-t248385.html
  19. R34's come with 4300Ks from factory apparently and that's pure white (no blue hues) .. if you want slight blue hue get 6000Ks ..anything above that, you sacrifice brightness and paint a defect target on yourself.
  20. velly nice ... why not reuse the stock grill ? Oh and some smoked nismo indicators (front and sides) would set it off real nice imo
  21. There you go hope that's what you were after. Black isn't the best colour to show off a bodykit but I'm sure you can get a general idea of what it looks like
  22. I have all of those so I'll try and take a couple of pics for you today
  23. Thanks Dan yeah I'll probably buy those if I can't find some bulbs locally today
  24. hey guys I have an R34 with the factory Xenons and my left hand side one just blew it seems .. does anyone know how to pull the bulb out? There's a cover at the back of the xenon bulb BUT it's not turning either clockwise or anti-clockwise. Does the whole headlight have to come off ?? Also does anyone know what the factory temp is (4000k or 6500k etc) because I don't wanna end up with 2 headlights with diff temps...
  25. Would like to polish my R34 (GTT) headlights with the Glassylite kit and also install a LED strip on the inside ... I read somewhere the only way to take the clear plastic cover is to "bake" the entire headlight in the oven so the plastic lets go ... Doesn't sound like something I really want to do ... has anyone else done it with an R34 here? How do you glue the clear plastic back on ? Any tips appreciated, Cheers
