Ahhh ok .. I thought these things would be a lot cheaper since they're new and trying to grab a market share. I can get a PFC for less than that and it's 'proven' technology (just saying, in terms of $$$ not trying to start a flamewar) What's the diff between the plug-in board and the full ecu ?

Powersteering Pump Giving Everyone The Shits
Wacky Dee replied to Wacky Dee's topic in General Maintenance
yeah I've read before how to bleed it but I'm not sure I want to do that as I don't think that was the issue the last time ... the issue after bleeding AND fully reconditioning steering pump (TWICE!) turned out to be that high pressure hose. I wasn't told any details, but after like almost 2 weeks of them trying all the EXPENSIVE crap, it turned out to be just that hose... You busy now ? Give me a ring (0413337146) if you can I can drop by -
Powersteering Pump Giving Everyone The Shits
Wacky Dee replied to Wacky Dee's topic in General Maintenance
FFS... 7 months later and I got this problem AGAIN. When engine is cold, grindyloud noises from engine bay and whining from steering wheel which doesn't turn as freely as usual. Once the engine warms (approx. 10 mins driving) it's all NORMAL and all the grinding goes away. This is f**ked. I am waiting to hear from the powersteering specialist and if they think of charging me 1 cent to get this fixed again I'm gonna go balistic. Anyone near newtown/glebe in Sydney with a bit of hands on experience and maybe a hoist ? I'd like to take a look at this 'high pressure' hose myself before I take the car back to them. God what a pain in the ass, have to borrow my parents car again and pray the 'specialist' doesn't come up with some other BS excuse for charging me hundreds of dollars (that I dont have right now) -
so how much does a vipec v44/88 cost ? are they AFM or MAP based and if the latter, does the r34 gtt require any extra sensors ?
-

R34 Gt-t 2 Door Cat Back Exhaust
Wacky Dee replied to sky88's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
um that thing looks about 3m long and isn't that a DUMP pipe in the first photo? So unless the cat was taken out and dump connected to the catback I don't get it. Anyway, I'm sure anyone who's interested will know if they want it or not. -
my suggestion would be to take the PFC out and sell it here for $1500 as you will get $0 for it if you sell it with the car. Then place an ad on carsales (much bigger audience than SAU) and you should be able to get $19-20k for it easy. Good luck

Max Airflow On Std Afm And Max Power From Std Injectors?
Wacky Dee replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah 300HP is a bit too low though ..aiming for 340HP or so. Are there any inexpensive replacement AFM for R34 GTT that can manage more airflow than the stock one without the need for an aftermarket ecu like powerfc? -

dude there's no cat on that thing .. its just a straight pipe. Maybe I'm going blind. -
6 X S15 Injectors

are these brand new? would they fit an r34 gtt (NEO) engine without any mods ? -
Max Airflow On Std Afm And Max Power From Std Injectors?
Wacky Dee replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
are the standard r34 njectors 370CC ? if I were to get them highflowed to say 500cc would I be able to do that with a stock ecu (with remap) or does bigger injectors automatically mean u need a PFC (or other non standard ecu) ? What about the stock AFM .. does anyone know the max it can handle? -
have been dreaming of doing a stage 2 upgrade (pfc, z32, gcg hiflow etc) but simply can't afford the $6k or so that it'd cost. So I've lowered my target power and have noticed some cheaper options like the $800 hypergear hiflow etc Anyway, was just wondering what the max psi/airflow that a stock R34 (GT-T) AFM can manage ? I can't get a z32 because I don't have a powerfc and have no plans on spending upwards of $2k on one .. if I do upgrade anything I'd have the stock ecu remapped instead (ign. timing and AFRs) But I'm pretty sure that the stock AFM can't really handle a lot more than 12psi right ? What about the stock fuel injectors .. how much power are they good for to be safe? My target would be 235-240rwkw with good low down response/torgue and power - don't care about highend power as I don't think I've ever revved it past 5,000 rpm (its strictly a daily driver)

water pump WAS replaced ... I have no idea why I wasn't told about idle/tensioner bearings .. useless dickheads at 'NSP' (lets just leave it at the acronym) -
Oem Timing Belt Idler And Tensioner Bearings And Spring
Wacky Dee replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Wanted to Buy
I paid $500 to have my timing belt replaced ..are you saying its gonna cost that much to have these bearings and spring replaced? If so f**k it. -
anyone had theirs delivered recently ??? I ordered mine on jan 13th and was told approx. 2-3 weeks .. now I'm told it might come next week, getting a bit annoyed.. edit: just to be clear, I ordered directly through Max not the GB but he told me to add my name to the GB so i get the $50 discount.

R34 Gt-t 2 Door Cat Back Exhaust
Wacky Dee replied to sky88's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
from the photos, I'd say it IS just a straight pipe with no muffler or cat ie. not road legal and it'd be probably VERY loud and stink to high heaven. -
i dont get it ..why risk a criminal conviction/jail time for something that you can buy for < $500 yourself ?? f**king scum.
-
i have your blue leds installed in my r34 dash and aircon and the lighting isn't really even .. you can see how its darker and weaker in some spots. My throughts are this is because they're directional leds. wouldn't it give better, more even light coverage if it was a single led (instead of 4x3v small ones) and non-directional ??

Oem Timing Belt Idler And Tensioner Bearings And Spring
Wacky Dee replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Wanted to Buy
is that 'CBC' ? I can't find a seven hills branch .. got their phone # by any chance? Actually I wouldn't mind a branch closer to the city if that is indeed the same company I've found -
Actually you are retard and shouldn't be replying if you have nothing useful to add Read post #20 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=1527454

had my 100k service done a few months ago on my R34 with new timing belt and all but the idler and tensioner bearing and spring were not replaced at the time as I wasn't aware they should be. Does anyone know how much these 3 things cost from Nissan directly and approx. time/labour costs in installing them? Any reliable suppliers other than Nissan, I inly want oem/Nissan items for the bearings and spring. There's a trader on sau selling 100k kits but someone recently posted photos of the bearings he got and they don't look right (size wise, compared to the original ones).
-
is it a series 2 by any chance? I think s2 r34s might have an aluminium exhaust wheel or whatever its called where as all the earlier ones are plastic which is why they can't handle more than 12 for long periods..
-
shoulda reversed over the bunch of useless f**ks ... rear end damage isn't so expensive to repair, totally worth it imo.
