looking to order the stereo fascia and brackets for my r34 from nissan but my r34 came with the factory tv so the fascia (and most likely brackets) are different so i can't use my vin/chasis # to order these parts as I'd just get what I already have speaking of which does anyone know if the tv and non-tv (triple guage) R34 use the same brackets to hold the ac control/stereo ? does the AC control in normal R34s stick out about 1cm from above the stereo or does it sit flush? if it sticks out I may not need new brackets at all just the fascia

need the plastic bit (fascia) that goes around the AC/stereo in R34 GT-T centre console and also the 2 metal brackets that hold the AC/stereo inside the centre console. Located in Sydney. If anyone knows a wrecker in Sydney who has an R34 GTT (coupe) in stock pleeeeeeease let me know i've rung around all day

I have a r34 gtt with the popup lcd system that just died so I junked it ... now I need the 2 metal brackets that sit inside the centre console holding the AC and headunit in place (as the brackets in my car are different .. they hold an extra headunit so won't fit the AC in top position).. Also need the standard plastic surround for the centre console (just below AC) Does anyone know where I can find these part numbers so I can check with Nissan how much they cost?? Cheers

are you selling just the actual guages or the triple pod that holds them on the dash ? I really only need the plastic surround/triple pod as I just junked my popup lcd

ok whatever you do don't use SEPTONE paint/primer .. this shit is just evil, I wasted 4-5 hours only to realize the paint itself is a POS. Will go looking for Powerplus paints tommorow.

yeah i just took a closer look today and the glass can be taken out easily as the edges of the plastic are very bendy ..so basically just need the mirror glass. Will speak to toyota tommorow or if they don't have it, might get obrien glass or someone to just make it up Cheers

you can paint the plastics yourself (there's a thread about it right here near the top) or if you want CF a motor trimmers ... probably set you back $500-600 to get it done in CF by a trimmer professionally. I was quoted $500 just to repaint the plastics with a normal paint ..expect to pay more for CF-look.

looks very nice .. I'm gonna do the same to mine but do the vents and aircon and perhaps the top lcd cover (I have that popup screen) in black. Then find some nice silver pedals and a silve bezel insert for the console and the car shouldn't look so 1998 anymore (maybe a bit more like 1999) Speaking of which I'm going to go and rip out my (broken) lcd now ..wish me luck!

the link above shows the eastbear spoiler only I believe ... however there's also a "lip" it's just that same spoiler with an extra bit of plastic above it, making it twice as big/deep. But IMO the spoiler is enough .. it's gonna scrape on every driveway/bump if I put anything more than that little spoiler

I know powerplay sell the eastbar lip + spoiler for $680 Does anyone know how much it costs for just the spoiler as above? would it fit a stock GTT front bumper ?

has anyone seen a GTT with the stock factory frontbar + eastbear front lip (the one sold by powerplay) ? what about piccies of a GTT with the Top Secret front bar?

some complete f**kwit decide to vandalize my parent's 2002 corolla (hatchback) on xmas eve and broke the driver side view mirror. Luckily it's just the mirror itself .. does anyone know a place that can put a new mirror in (it's just glued on top of a piece of black plastic afaik) or a wrecker with a crapload of corollas ? there's an automotive version of the sikaflex stuff as posted above? it doesn't state that this product is for any particular industry so I'm not sure if they have an automotive one ..do they ? Speaking of which I do need to get the side skirts resprayed as carmate's spraypainter is a f**king retard (it's the worst paintjob ever!) Can this be done with the skirts still on the car as they've been glued on...

considering you can get a 2000-2001 R34 GTR for around $50k I'd say this is either a prank or the car comes with the girl who will service the car and the new owner for atleast 1 year.

has anyone actually had success in getting the factory (r34) seats to look clean? I paid $80 extra to 'drdetail' just for interior clean when he was detailing my 34 and the interior is just as dirty as before once the seats dried It's mainly the 2 front seats I'm trying to get cleaned .. the middle light grey section. Obviously after 10 years it's absorbed all sorts of crap. I'm wondering if it's even possible to clean this sort of crap and give it a factory clean look. Ps. after you get stuff cleaned out if there are still any bad odours, get an ozone lamp and stick in the car and leave for half an hour, it will kill the source of the smell. Ozone lamps are used in all clubs/pubs etc to kill the stench of smoke and all the other crap.. you can usually get them from hydroponics stores (pot growers find it handy as it eliminates the stench of weed that you're growing in your garage)

Just had my side skirts fitted and it's not a 100% fit with small gaps here and there since it's fibreglass .. So I need to fill in some small 1-2mm sections and I was wondering if there's any sealant that would work well ?? it would have to be black in colour as my car is black and not crack in the sun/rain (atleast not for a few years) any tips ? cheers

any ideas who can make up a surround from mbf ? auto trimmers ? I've pretty much decided to rip out the screen and replace with the triple guages and rip out cassete player/radio and put a single din aftermarket cd player in it. that should be my cheapest option I reckon

just had the rear bar and side skirts fitted ... fittment is pretty decent (rear bar almost perfect, side skirts a bit iffy but passable) however the spray painter butchered the whole thing. It is THE worst paint job I have seen in a very long time. There are dropplets, streaks etc all over the bar and skirts .. like a hundred of them and a couple of really big ones. The rear bar looks wavy/bumpy that's how shit the paintjob is .. on a scale of 1 to 10, the paintjob is a -25 I reckon I could have done a better job with a bit of sand paper and a paint brush. "luckily" I was rear ended recently and insurance is paying for the repairs and I'll get the smash repairer to respray the new rear bar instead of the old factory one. I might have to pay to have the side skirts resprayed though because the paintjob is an absolute joke. Edit: carmate offered to have the rearbar (but not sideskirts which are just as bad) resprayed in about a month, what a joke. No way I'm taking it back to the same spraypainter.

hey mate I'm interested in the 'guages and cluster' as my factory satnav/cd just died. Can you tell me if the triple pod is factory grey paint or did u paint it black? because from the photos it looks black but factory colour is dark grey. Are there scratches on it ? do you also have the subharness that is used to connect the guages ?

actually come to think of it ... I'd be happy with even just having the factory TV setup disconnected from power so that it stays down permanently and just replacing the factory radio with a single din cd player but I'll still need to somehow source/make a plastic surround to fit the V shape centre console (around the new cd player) .. any ideas?? I was thinking just taking the cover off from the factory radio and cutting it to fit the new single din deck. Would that work?

I have a GTT with the factory satnav/tv pop-up thingo and just like so many other peoples' before it ..mine died a few days ago. Now I'm stuck with a popup screen that just displays an error msg in japanese and a radio that doesn't work with aussie frequencies... Is there anyone in Sydney who can 1) remove the tv unit completely and source/install the factory triple guage setup 2) remove the factory radio and replace with a double din cd player Keep in mind the factory plastic surround on these things is v-shaped, not rectangle so I'd need the replacement rectangle surround so I can fit the new deck into it without leaving gaps Oh yeah and I'm kinda broke so I need to keep it as cheap as possible. Can anyone recommend someone in Sydney who can do this / has done it before?
