Thanks for that .. the calculator is very handy but I'm not sure what to make of the results ... I'm not worried about the fronts as they're only 8.5, it's the rears that worry me (the new offsets are 35 on both front and rear) According to the calculator the 9.5 rears would have 20mm less INNER clearance and would extend 30mm outside as well. Opinions ?? Edit: I've looked through the 16 pages of member posts on wheels and offsets last night ..unfortunately there's only 1 or 2 R34 GTT in there and no one posted any similar new rim sizes to what I'm getting.

I'd like to order some wheels that I've seen on another SAU member's R34 GT-T but the rear rims are 18x9.5 and I'm afraid they might stick out from underneath the guard .. (same car as his) I don't want to get pulled over and defected because the rims are too wide Also, can anyone tell me what the correct offsets would be for an R34 GT-T ? Stock wheels are 17x7.5 with a 40 offset. The new wheels would be 18x8.5F and 18x9.5R - any ideas what the correct offsets would be ? I only have stock calipers Attached is the image of the other gtt with these wheels - rears look like they're sticking out don't they?

are those 18"s in the photo above or the 19's ? I'm considering the impuls or these for my black gtt

cheers guys, think I'll just get lowered kings springs and replace the front bushes as they appear cracked (according to visual inspection by mechanic) what's a decent drop that doesn't make the car sit too low ? 1" ? I don't want the ride quality to be too harsh or the tyres to scrub against the guards or worry about every pothole or entering driveways etc

Do you have the shadow chrome SA70's to fit an R34 GT-T ? I'd like 18x8 F and 18x9 R ... I'm not sure what the correct offsets would be, do you know by any chance? How long is the wait once ordered? Where in Sydney are you ? Can you provide any decent rubber to go with them? cheers

how much do front bushes cost on average? what about some kings springs?

any japanese wheels will be 2-3x more exxy so are pretty much out of question unfortunately ..I'm not gonna buy from tempe because they're SOOO dodgy (I was in there today and god .,.I never wanna go back) Not sure if BigO's is any better ..

just got a stock r34 gtt and would like it lowered a bit ..for looks and handling. So what are my options? I see places like JJ sell 'suspension kits' with adjustable heights etc eg. http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=336&page=1 But that's a bit pricey .. what are my other options? Can I just get my stock springs loweed an inch or less ? Any bad side effects to doing that ? cheers in advance

Looking to replace my stock wheels on my black (and completely stock) r34 gtt and I really like the look of some of the 10 spoke wheels .. plus everyone seems to have 5 spokes Has anyone got a black gtt with a 10 spoke wheel set by any chance ? or have you seen pics posted of one anywhere on SAU ? What's the difference between a "one piece front and dump pipe" and a "split front/dump pipe" ?? Reason I ask is I see JJ sell a one-piece system such as http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=276&page=1 and I'd rather get everything from one place since they have the HKS Silent and the Catco 3" metal cat that BATMBL also sells (albeit JJ are $50 dearer) Is a split system that much better than a one-piece such as the one linked above

Not too over the top but I imagine you can hear it nicely inside when driving which is my main goal.

I'm pretty sure they are 18" on this car ... I could be wrong, but they look (irl) much too big to be 17" (I've had 17" before) Maybe they're not stock at all...but they do look stock to me.

JJ don't have stock of that one for r34 gtt so I'm pretty much set on the HKS as it's apparently not too loud (plus I don't do highway driving more than 2-3 times a year, so drone noise should not be an issue) i've also pretty much decided on the 3" catco cat (707cfm) at $440 ... bit pricey hey. One final question for all I guess .. what is the difference between all the dump systems? like split dump and dual fronts etc ??? Would a dual front pipe such as this http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=276&page=1 be good in combination with the HKS catback and catco cat ?? are there any advantages/disadvantages between dual front pipes, split dumps etc ? please define "droney" heh.. How hard is it to install ? You said most places charges $100/ph .. how long on average would they take to install one .. can't be THAT long (6-7 hours??) Also I haven't read up much on dump pipes and cats and what sort of impact and/or side effects they might have .. but I do remember reading that dump pipes can give you a much more noticable turbo lag. That's one thing I DON'T need or want. Also another quick question ... what sort of difference/impact/sideeffects are there between a 3" and 3.5" tip ?

I've just bought a completely stock, black R34 GTT (just imported by dealer) and I'd like to replace the stock exhaust system with a nice shiny chrome catback system, because the stock exhaust is a bit rusty and just looks too damn weak I really don't know much about cars really, but I do know is that what i want is a cat back system that looks like http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=273&page=1 However I would like to add some deep throaty sound to my exhaust BUUUUUUUT I don't want it to be loud outside so as to attract a lot of unwanted attention nor do I want it to sound like a riced up honda civic ... I would just like to hear that nice deep rumbly sound inside the cabin when I step on the pedal... how do you get that sound from your exhaust? Is that an additional addon to a catback system? Is that what they call a cannon ? or do you get this sort of sound from a catback system such as the one above by default ?? can anyone recommend a reliable and not too expensive place in sydney (preferrably not too far out west as I live in the inner west) that sells and installs R34 exhausts ? By the way, how much should I expect to pay for the installation of a catback system ? Cheers

Buying a stock, black R34 GT-T coupe next week and would love a nismo body kit or at the very least the nismo rear bar and side skirts. Must be black as that's my car's factory color already .. it would be too expensive to get it in any other color as the paint job would be atleast another grand.
