  1. Hey Brian, Thanks for tuning in. I think the spool up is better and pretty much better everywhere! I really am enjoying it at the moment and just got the baby detailed as well. Looking Schmick but maybe not as good Dominos! Yeah from general consensus of e85 fuel quality, I only get it from united at the moment. The previous owner had the actuators done at croydon ages ago because apparently boost starts to just cliff drop after trying to hold boost to a certain level. But yeah not too familiar or know anything for that matter. Hmmm.... I guess im going to reflash mine tonight to lc5! love how easy it is to do something like this with these cars.
  2. Hey Guys just wanted to report back that I've successfully converted over to E85! Previously I had Down pipes, midpipe, upgraded turbo actuators, hks evc and Cobb tune. Got that dyno'd prior to doing the E85 conversion ended getting just over 360 kw. After calling up Martin from Willall and taking his advice I then purchased ID 1000's, Twin DW65C pumps, COBB AP with TCM, Willall engine, diff and transmission oils and finally a mailorder tune from Martin. With the help of Brad from Profabrication everything went smoothly and was installed perfectly! I currently use united e85 fuel only and on a fortnightly basis when I fill up I carry four 20l jerry cans with me and fill them up for back up, so during the next week when I start to run out I don't have to go back every week. The result is 412 kw, car feels incredible and a little scary to be honest. Also I performed a clutch relearn and reflashed the launch program to LC4 R Mode Off. I haven't launched it yet but i suppose its the one to use. Future mods I was thinking intake kit, larger turbo inlet pipes and gfb bov's. I currently don't have a catback but not sure if it's worth the coin vs performance at the moment? Also should I reflash to LC5? Of course a massive thanks to Martin from Willall racing and Brad from Profabrication for the their time and help.

  4. awesome thanks guys!
  5. Do you guys know if it's Ok to keep E85 in Jerry cans for about two weeks? Or will it start absorbing too much water?
  6. hey mate, i know its fustrating. I think you had the same issue as me. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/414805-possible-steering-lock-issue/
  7. Thanks Martin for the link =)
  8. Hi Guys my birthday is coming up soon and thought i'd convert my 08 gtr to E85. Before I go ahead with it though just wanted to clear up a few questions please. 1. Has anyone here in Sydney done a drive in drive out conversion with a trusted workshop? I understand Willall is the place to go but its a little far and if I have any issues sending the car back and forth will be costly. 2. How much should a E85 conversion cost? From some reading i think i'll need the cobb+tcm, upgraded injectors and fuel pumps? 3. Will I need to do gearbox upgrades due to the power increase? 4. Are most E85 users in sydney just filling up at united rozelle? and/or ordering by the drums and filling it at home? or are any even using flex fuel from caltex? 5. Maintenance wise will I have to use different oils because of the change in fuel? Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you guys. Ken
  9. Cheers thanks for the contact mate Final update: It was the steering lock unit. After a pain in the arse taking it out and replacing it everything works normal. Just hope it dosent do it again.
  10. Quick update: Electrician called me back and said it's most likely my steering lock unit is faulty. Have any of you guys replaced the steering lock unit? Since its a Jap model would ordering american parts still fit up fine? And would you guys recommend any oem nissan parts sellers in America? Everthingnissan, com seem to have these two part numbers available 48700–JF00C & 2x 48703–06F0A which i think is needed but have never tried purchasing from them. Thanks
  11. Hey guys i'm having some issues starting up my 08 gtr and wanted to get some help. Obvious first check was the battery, got the multimeter on it and shows good charge so probably not the battery. The car ignition won't even come on so it won't kick over. Did some searching through the forums and so i've found out about the common steering lock issue with earlier models =( Anyway thought i'd try dropping steering rack unplugging the steering lock unit, clean it and re plugged it. Still nothing. I don't have an OBDII reader so got an electrician to come out, he plugged his scanner in and it came out with steer lock reset id - now he reckons I need the original password to unlock it to get the car started? What do you guys think? Cheers, Ken
  12. Does anyone have any footage? or do you know if media film this event? Would love to watch it! EDIT: Sorry just found the temora thread
  13. Thanks again guys for the replies, I appreciate the input and it's cleared up my confusion on the topic. Andrew I ordered a V36 but I asked my importer to check for me and his said it's a G35 model because he saw the analogue clock on the dash (apparently USDM only) and although it's debadged the steering wheel symbol is infinity not G35 hence the confusion.
  14. Hahaha there you are Brad! good to see you on here as well! Again thanks for the reply guys, so would it be safe to assume the spring kit I order from Tein Japan for a JDM V36 should fit regardless if my model is a USDM G35? Being both RWD they should right?
  15. Hey guys I was just looking at the Tein japan website and the spring kits for them have different models: For e.g. The G35 has two different spring kits available: The S-Tech and the H-Tech, the S-tech giving a lower drop than H-tech. While if you look up the 350GT it's only got the H-tech available for them and not only that, the drop isn't as low as either of the kits available for the G35. Can anybody shed some light on this? Aren't they the same car which should mean they should have the same suspension? Note. Car is Nissan skyline V36 sedan 4 350GT 2007/ Infinit G35 Sedan 4 Door 2007
