ahhh, this may soumd like a dumb question, but, where do they usually sit the hand unit in a 33?? i dont want it somwhere to obviouse where mr and mrs piggy will see it.
-
well done if you could find one for cheap, but i get very paranoid! if spending cost price + 100% mark up for the unit is what it takes for my peice of mind, then thats what ill spend. and also, if theres any probs with the ecu...strait back to the factory for warrenty repair it goes... now do you think its worth the extra few hundred dollars?
-
^^^^^^^i little off the topic, but loved the dvd feature on you gtr in HPI, great photo shoot to!
-
yeah that sounds about right, but they have gone up since they stopped making them, i paid 1650 fot the ecu itself, and 500 for install and tune, its not a bad price really, and i trust the guys down there, i havent had any trouble since i have been using them.
-
lol, you better hurry up and get saving mate, from what i have heard, the distributer is really low on pfc for 33 gtst.
-
lol, i only got the money beacause the missus made me sell my bike..hmm...i have 3g left..... savings??? or engine work?? hmmmmm its so hard lol

went into morpowa again yesterday (nearly my 2nd home these days) spoke to a few lads there, and they have pointed me in the right direction with the next step on my 33. the next step being after market ecu they recommended power fc, as piggy back option is apparently not as tunable or flexible as a full upgrade ecu. i ended up agreeing on the price of $2250 supplied, installed and dyno tuned. cant complain really, seing as the ecu for the 33 has ceased production. (so i heard) so it goes in tomorrow (thursday) i cant wait, speaking from experience, did the aftermarket ecu come up to your expectations? and what step did you take from there? cheers craig

hi all, my mate has some parts that i have the oppotunity to buy, cheap. first up is a set of 6 Nismo 550cc injectors. and second is i bosch fuel pump (next model up from 044) rated a 650 hp. and a sard fuel pressure regulator. my car so far only has-hi flowed standard turbo -turbo back zorst -elec boost controller -front mount thats all i can think of right now, theyre all barnd new in box, bought for his 34 but cant use them beecause he has rb25 neo. he wanted 1400, but i offered 1200 and he said ok. should i buy them? is it the right stepping stone to getting more power and upping the boost? sorry if these questions seem dumb, i used to drive V8s lol cheers people.

i didnt start this thread to start a "bitch fest" mate. i simply wanted to inform people that police are still using these tactics (unmarked performance cars) think its a pointless discussion ay? DONT READ IT! -

thats is the best thing anyone has said on this thread, i agree 100% but then again, they wont raise revenue from that will they? they have more of a chance of catching lead foots, if they blend in with normal, everyday traffic. theyre not stupid, just dumb! i agree that the road is not a race track, and it would be a safer place for all if it stopped, but they are going the complete wrong way about it. -
well i got it back from morpowa today, they managed to get 205.6 rwkw out of it, on hi boost of 11 psi, they couldnt push boost up any more cos the injectors where leaning out, now i just gotta figure out how to use this bloody controller, i have the instructions, but who reads them these days? lol im happy with this figure for now, and im happy with morpowa, i think ill be using them again for sure!

all i can say, is after seing that car yesterday, and hearing all of your stories, it has really made me think twice about dropping the clutch at any set of lights, you will never know when one of these undercover cars are going to be behind you.. maybe if the sa gov got off there ass, and looked in to re-opening AIR for street meets,on a wed or sat night like they used to, they wont have such a problem on our public roads..people wont just "Grow out" of wanting to go fast, if its in your blood, and its what you love, its always going to be with you. these "Hob-Nobs" we call politicians, and traffic police, need to look at a way of getting it off the street, not stopping it all together, because that will never, ever happen. they are going the wrong way about it, oh, but hang on.....theyre making money off it, thats why they are going about it in this manner...its all about the money. well thats my two cents anyway! -

nope it was silver, good on ya, next thing we know, police will be rolling in blown minis on 22's lol -
Ok, ill start, at the start. it all happened today, i was in my company car, sitting in trafic, turning right off jeffcott street onto north east road, when i noticed a rather nice exhaust note coming from the XR8 falcon in front of me.(sorry to say the F word) i then noticed a commodore (oops i said the C word to) speed across the intersection, doing atleast 80k in the 60 zone, and bam, right in front of me, the XR8 lights up one red, and one blue light on the rear parcel shelf, turns on its siren and chases the commonwhore!! it was undercover cops, in a loud ass, slammed XR8!! Smartasses! so next time you get lined up for a drag on anzac highway (im in no way encouraging this behavior) maybe it would pay to get out, walk to the front or rear of the car that wants to be eaten by a nissan, and check for lights!! or just be a moral citizen and abide by all the road rules. its easier.

it helps when you have a company car that ypu dont have to pay a single cent for leaves more $ for the pride and joy sitting in the shed waiting for the weekend to come so she sees some daylight again! it did come at a price though, my missus said if i ever bought a skyline, she would leave me, god im going to miss her
