  3. Hi Guys, Got a problem which has reared it's head in the last week. Car idles extremely rough, sorta like a high RPM missfire. hard to explain, but sorta sounds like a WRX (constant pop) and the whole car shakes badly. Car got tuned around 6 months ago. has Power FC, Z32, 850cc sard's, Splitfire coilpacks, HKS twin spark, upgraded turbo and external gate and Walbro Fuel pump with re-wired relay. Swapped out the coilpacks with a brand new set as a precaution, regapped plugs to .7 to rid it of any chance of missfire. Changed fuel pump relay, changed Coil pack loom and swapped Ignitor pack. Checked the Z32 wiring tonight and noticed that going by PaulR33's wiring picture that when the AFM was installed, the signal ground and 12v ground were mixed up. swapped them and the same problem remains. What are the odds of this mix up causing an AFM failure or PFC failure? Only thing i haven't done is swap the fuel pump over, sounds a little funny when it's priming, but was looked at by a mechanic and he said it was working. another possibility?? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers

  8. The Adapter is 60mm to house an outlet for a wastegate, so not 100% sure, but to sit it ontop of the stock turbo heat shield, it doesn't inspire confidence! That would be great if you had some pics mate!!
  9. Cheers, 160mm is the distance from the TD06 T3 flange to the back of the Exh. housing.... Can't be good!!!
  10. Just wondering if anyone knows the clearance from the T3 Manifold Flange to the strut tower on an R33?? I have a TD06 with an T3 to T3 adapter for external wastegate and am sceptical about it all fitting. The turbo with adapter mounted is 230mm from flange to back of exh. housing. i know it may be a long shot... cheers in advance

  18. Have a few questions if anyone can help me... I Have an A/F gauge, it has a sweep and is also digital. It connects to the 02 sensor signal wire for its feed. Was a "Drift" gauge bought out of curiosity as was having trouble with the stock ECU and was curious to see the A/F ratio. Does anyone know how accurate these gauges can be?? It holds 12.6 under full throttle using the standard ECU. It's extremely responsive to throttle input and seems to have no lag in response either sweep or digital. I completely understand that there is no substitute for an expensive sensor unit (autronic and the likes) when it comes to tuning. Just curious to know. Cheers.
  19. Hi all, Had a few dilemmas trying to track down a new Oxygen sensor for my R33. Thought i'd share the findings with you as it took 3 different shops and 3 phone calls to even get a relevant part number. As it turns out, Bosch make a direct fit Oxygen Sensor. Needs to be ordered as is rarely kept on the shelf. Part Number #2 269 013 007 Cost $104
  20. Does anyone know the OEM part number for a new Engine Wiring Loom For A Series 1 R33??? Cheers. Throttle Positioning Sensor: A22-646-J01 Air Flow Meter: 22680 02U00 Cam (Crank) Angle Sensor: 23731 08U00 ECU: 23710 21U00 as for '93 Series 1 R33
  21. Had something sort of similar in my 33, Would drive fine for a while and coughed and spluttered, shook violently and made me feel generally unsafe when it happened. It was basically stalling and jump starting itself constantly. after much investigation i randomly fiddled with the AFM loom plug and the car stalled, It turned out that it was the AFM. I got a second hand one and stripped the old one down to find that the loom connections in the AFM had broken off and were intermittantly touching. Maybe look into this??
  22. Cleaned the air filter to no avail. Fuel filter was replaced 5,000km ago, Will have a search for "rich and retard" Was prompted by a mechanic to check my cat and now it's currently non existent. Have a catback exhaust on it, only 20,000km old and with no cat is just straight through unless there is a second cat i don't know about..? Could possibly be the cam timing.. dyno is still looking like the best bet
  23. had a look at my air filter, looks fine, grubby, but not overly. I'll give it a clean whilst i'm at it and see how that goes. Have already fixed the inlet pipe from sucking closed by replacing ribbed section with solid piping. Boost is 6.5psi low and usually 8psi high, so shouldn't be boostcut, but stranger things have happened... Was thinking maybe an ECU input is kaput, as It'll run fine at some points, sometimes for hours on end but turn it off and it runs like a pig up top again. So far spark plugs are about 10,000km old. re-gapped them recently to .7 and looked fine. Maybe Dyno is going to be the only way to go.. bugger!
