  1. So everyone talks about the benefits of sway bars, how about the negatives? Does it make the car a lot bumpier? I've driven an x-trail and they seem to corner more stable than my arx and with less body roll, the ride is definitely less supple but not overly bumpy. If the swaybar upgrade brings it to x-trail standards for ride quality then i dont mind... however if it starts to feel like a go kart i dont think my wife and newborn will be too impressed..
  2. why would you do rear and not front at the same time?
  3. Anyone have any luck finding sway bars? How much are they from selbys? I'm also looking... cheers
  4. I need slotted fronts found another guy $286 a pair...
  5. I'm in perth. Prices seem inflated over here for everything car related...
  6. U guys know where I can get well priced RDA's and what to expect to pay?
  7. Oh dear I thought it was an aussie website! hmm might have to rethink this one
  8. 350z touring should fit the M35 brakes right? If anyone has doubts please say so now before I place my order!
  9. These slotted rotors seem cheap and would probably fit my M35. Has anyone seen them before? Almost half the price of RDA's... http://www.perfectbrakes.com/products.asp?cat=6392
  10. Argh someone help me find a cargo blind or net for my M35 on IM please! How do you search other than manually loading every single page of stuff that contains M35 in it!?
  11. Could be but I've only done 48000ks! Seems a bit early to be replacing the turbo... thinking of upgrading to a series 2 with the 3.5 L NA engine... I dont wanna put in a high flow that will be laggier than stock and replacing the turbo with a standard one seem like a waste of $ with very little to be gained.
  12. I have the same problem with groans in between gear changes when under high load. Redlining doesnt cause it because the torque has dropped off by then. Can it be fixed? I had the trans fluid changed by nissan and it made no difference. Turning on the A/C helps due to the loss of power.
  13. +1 for ARX if its not too hard to fit. How many hrs u reckon it would take for someone who's got no clue? My car has stockie exhaust... do u reckon it would make a big difference?
  14. so how much would a standard turbo rebuild cost and how long would it last before packing it in again? I am happy with the std setup cos driving is effortless in traffic, get loads of torque at less than 1/4 throttle with gears changing around 3000 rpm. Economy wise I tried to be 'conservative' with my second fill since getting my arx. 68L got me 420kms. 16L/100kms is not great. But i do mainly city driving as i live less than 15kms from wherever i go so i guess its not too bad. Pushing past 4000rpm is actually quite boring and seems like a waste of petrol.
  15. Any chance FAST shows the lock barrell number for specific models? I need a spare key made up but apparently have to take off the door trim to find the lock number.
  16. I'll check it out...not sure if the warranty is statewide. is a bit of a shame you didnt pick it up but its not that easy to replicate the noise so I totally understand. I doubt it will die any time soon but it's an annoying noise! It's at Nissan right now, dont think they'll be able to figure it out... Hmm High flow... Will a CGC high flow spool up earlier or later than the standard turbo? I dont want it any laggier than stock. Will it also mean I need to get it tuned so + $ for emanage or some other computer?
  17. hmm thats starting to sound like a possibility... wish i bought that warranty now... its so wierd that it groans and resonates when under load and half throttle but under full throttle it kinda goes past it too fast to make the noise.
  18. Bugger, they didnt fix it. I will be going back there tomorrow Throttle body clean really brings the car to life though much more eager to rev!
  19. just to close this off. Took my car to Nissan Osborne Park today. The noise was happening around the 4k rpm in almost any gear at half throttle. The mechanic found the turbo intake pipe or some pipe near the turbo was rubbing hard up against the chassis, i'm not sure exact details but they've re-adjusted it. Auto service (the fluid in there was looking a bit dark)- $330 Throttle body clean (recommended by them) - $135 Diagnose and fix that problem - $70 Replace some cracked belts - ~$120 $700 odd later and hopefully she'll be like new. Will report after I have a drive. Funny watching one mechanic come and look at the car and he's like 'what's that? Is that an import???' Altogether they were pretty inquisitive about the car, finding out whether it would hook up to their diagnostics, finding out what belts fit etc.
  20. Are u using something like this? http://www.jdmstyle-usa.com/trec/index.html Anyone tried it on their M35? I'm interested...
  21. Hmm maybe i'll try it without the a/c on and see if it still makes the noise... Any recommendations for auto trans service? If i take it to nissan what model should I say the car is similar to?
