Bugger Just went for another spirited drive... man starting to love it! I think the noise is more like a uuurrrggghh and seems to do it between gear changes under load. Could my auto tranny have a problem? using the triptronic it takes ages to change gears! I'll change up at 4k and it will rev to 7k before changing!

Hey Danny I just picked up my M35 today and got it registered! Anyway I noticed the exact same noise. only seems to happen at max torque around 3-3500 k and not on full throttle. could it be the attessa kicking in? Does the attessa make a noise when engaging front diff? My other theory is it's slipping in between gearchanges but havent driven it enough to really tell.

Just put a pod filter on it... you should hear the standard BOV venting although not as loudly as a ricey one, will also give an aggressive induction noise.

anyone know what that little camera looking thing on the dash is? my arx (soon to have) has it... Its on the Driving Support page above the Security System and next to the folding mirrors. I'm guessing its a internal screamer siren or movement sensor....

My ARX is on its way to me from North Shore Prestige Sydney to Perth, just checked and its due in Adelaide tomorrow! ETA is 5th November... I cant wait! Its a Grade 4, 03 model with 39000ks on it with quite a few factory options - Bose sound system, ECTS2 TV?, Safety Pack (extra airbags and 3 point seatbelt on rear middle seat, Nissan security system. $22k delivered to perth woohoo... iamhe77 helped me spot this car at NSP, it had only been advertised for 2 days. NSP have a Black ARX coming in a few weeks.

I drove a M35 that had the torque split gauges and the owner said if you give it a bit harder accelleration the power will move to front wheels and u can see it on the guage... maybe your problem is not really a problem. Any others notice this or does the torque split only happen when u break traction?

Hi I am in the process of bringing over a stagea M35 from East. I have the option of keeping the factory HID's in but I'm not sure if it will pass pits when i get the car registered. Has anyone ever been over the pits lately with factory HID's still in their import car? cheers Wil

Hmm, I'm not sure it will pass the pits over here if they are still connected.

What's required to get the HID's working again if the ballasts are still in? I heard you have to take off the front bumper... is this necessary?

Had an R33 Gts25t, sold it before i got married... been driving wife's mazda 2 for too long! Saved us a lot on petrol though, and it's amazing how much u can fit in them but its time to upgrade. I'm sick of not being able to overtake cars on the freeway simply cos i cant accellerate fast enough...

ns salesmen will say anything to sell a car! even after the inspection when i told him it had aftermarket suspension he still insisted it wasnt! Then i said Ohhh yes it has, the photos of the springs say RSR... then the penny dropped. I have made a deal with North shore Prestige's arx today and put down 1k deposit! Ben is a champ!

Apparently it was an over rated 4.5, drivers seat had evidence of a big bubba who squashed and worn the leather. Got passed in at my max bid, only need to go 60,000 yen more to get it but decided against it... it would have ended up costing way past my budget. Update on the Sinergy ARX, they gave the rear a wheel alignment and the inspection guy went back to drive it, he said it drove heaps better rear wasnt unstable... Still i'm not keen on the ride height ... its apparantly 15mm lower than standard... bs Today I'm negotiating a grade 4 ARX with 39000ks on it

Hey Guys thanks for all the volunteers to help. The car is in some sort of warehouse. I paid for an inspection done by Motacheck yesterday. The car isnt quite what i'm looking for so I wont go to adelaide this weekend. Main thing is the suspension is so low it bottoms out over smallish bumps. Rear is unstable when driving... inside tyre wear on front tyres... in my opinion could have been a car setup for drift... could explain the replaced front bumper and rear tyres had much less tread left than fronts. Everything else about the car is good though I am a bit fussy. Today I'm bidding on a grade 4.5 ARX with 28,000ks on it! cheers Wil

Yeah they've got a silver axis there grade 4C with auction papers. K's are too high for my liking though. I'm not too keen on the suspension being so low, i've heard teins can be quite stiff.

Got them down to 25k, still a premium... It's advertised as Bose sound system... Sales dude reckons its standard suspension but because the wheels on arx are higher profile it fills the guards better.

I wouldnt mind a 260RS! but I gotta get an auto cos wife needs to be able to drive it... I havent booked the flight yet, car is being inspected by Motacheck today, dealer recommended them - I hope they arent 'affiliated'. There's usually a flight that arrives around 930am or the next one is just after mid-day, will let yas know cheers!

Allimports 181 parramatta road Really appreciate if you could check it out.... I've had a bad day, was on my merry way to owning a gold arx like urs but it fell through. Not my ideal car though as i would have liked it to have less than 92000 ks. If this silver axis passes your inspection i'll pay a mechanic to put it up on a hoist and have a good look. I've read some bad things about Allimports but the fact that they move 4-5 cars a month means they must have some good cars or 90% of their customers are dumb. I think a good indicator is the leather on the drivers seat, the soft leather in arx and axis wears quite easily. LEt me know how you go cheers Wil

I was gonna pick up an ARX today. Got it inspected and there is a small leak from the rear of the gearbox. Possibly output shaft seal. Needs further investigation. The other bits were minor repairs like belts. The dealer wanted us to settle and me to sign off i was taking the car with it's faults shown on the inspection report. I told him no mainly cos of the gearbox leak. Who knows what it could be or cost to fix. So if he gets it fixed properly i may get it next week, but i've started looking elsewhere. Was really looking forward to driving a new car this weekend Still have a small deposit on that AXIS... Who wants to go check it out? It's done compliancing and should be at the dealers yard!

Yeah I guess i'm just a freak... i am 6'1" and have shorter arms than most people that are shorter than me, i'll have to do more yoga to make my arms longer! Man ur head must be touching the roof for sure!
