I know that for compliance and rego a fresh import needs new Australian tyres. What if a dealer did this then put back the japanese tyres and tried to sell the car? As a customer would I be able to demand new tyres to be put on at the dealers cost?

I think it didnt sound unhealthy. Seems like most M35's have this noise. I'll have to learn to live with it, just turn up the stereo. I'm turning into an old man, dont like loud exhausts, air filters, BOV anymore. These days I like it when the engine and exhaust are quieter I feel like its got effortless power so when I overtake someone they are like "woah where did that come from"...

Hi Guys I just drove a M35 bog standard with the stereo turned off. The engine is pretty smooth but upon acceleration you can hear a whine\whistle that goes with the RPM of the turbo. Being a standard car i'm not sure if this is normal. Do any of you know? I have previously owned a Skyline with RB25DET in it and you couldnt hear the turbo at all. It kinda puts me off wanting an M35. Reminds me of a bad stereo install where u can hear whining noises from the speakers. cheers Wil

Damn -1 for Axis. If only the axis front bar was a cheap upgrade I would go for the ARX!

I'll be sure to ask them to send it to north shore prestige thanks for the advice! Yeah its not a bad price... ARX is much better value though all the same except front & rear bar and suspension. Both come with 18" rims. I'm just addicted to the pimp front bar on the axis.

Damn yeah i thought the front seat looked a bit dirty but i wasnt sure if it was just a bad quality picture. Is it really that easy to wind them back, especially digital? I guess the dash is interchangable.

Cool good luck with your job situation! I just rang the guy, I got my wires crossed. The car is at customs now, arriving at the yard early next week then off to get complied. Luca said you can see it before it gets complied. Finding out where it's gonna be complied now... does it make a difference where? He said it was bought off a private yard in japan so no auction report. If you have a digital camera and can take pics of every angle of the car i'd be very grateful! cheers

Excellent thanks! I remember there was about 1-2 inches left when i sat in an arx no sunroof with electric seats at the lowest setting.

Hi Guys I am 6ft 1 and looking at getting a m35 with sunroof. Does anyone have trouble with less headroom in the sunroof model? Anyone been in a sunroof and non-sunroof model to compare? cheers

Hi I am in a remote town called Perth in Western Australia. I've put down a deposit on an AXIS that is being complied right now in Sydney. The car is due to hit the yard in a few days. I'm calling any experienced M35 owners to do a visual inspection + test drive for me to check the car is A1 as the salesman says. I am willing to pay for your petrol and lunch! The yard is ALLIMPORTS, does anyone have experience with them? What is the best independant inspection company out there? NRMA?
