Hi all I am in the process of upgrading my Cefiro from the factory RB20 to a RB25 and I am struggling with what would be the best turbo set up suited for drift that I should use. Any help in this area would be great. What are you using ?? Billy

Hi all well its about time i did this as this is now my second engine 1 every 2 years not to bad for the hiding it gets. My question is what is really involved in the conversion SO I can get the nessecary parts, diagrams needed so I don't get half way through it and find i need to get a part from Japan ex 3 weeks sort of thing. The Thread RE: RB25det conversion helped but need to fill in the blanks The thread for the gearbox is pretty self exlpanitory with the speedo cog thing. Sorting or getting a one peice (which is what I think i will do) tail shaft is easy to sort. Will the tunnel or fire wall need to be pusuaded eg with a hammer. to fit the rb25?? How hard is the wiring up of the 25 loom into the 20 loom?? I think their will be more questions as I get started I think Cheers Billy NT Cefiro Representative

PFFT who does that nower days ;-) ........ ah well I don't anyway I can't help my self if some thing wrong I need to at least try find and fix it my self..... a few weeks later and lose of hair THEN i find someone who will be able to find and fix it with in half an hour. I can sit back and say "well at least I tried" THink i might be in denial

Also another important thing get the disc machined if you can. Their are mobile machinist that will come to you (well in Darwin their are)this will bring the surface back flat so you can get an even wear with the new pads

Are you running stock factory front brake or the usual 4 pot upgrade from the R32??
-
Factory Cefiro 5 speed turbo diffs apparently have a different ratio but are still a r200 style diff. Ive jsut had mine fixed as she went bang and have a s13 that has been shimmed up til it's locked. Ceffy has a 3.5:1 I now have a 4:1

Also check if your tail shaft is up the right way, Sounds stupid i know unbolt it and rotate it 180 deg and see if that makes a difference. did with mine and a mates car when we didn't mark and put the tail shaft in the right way felt like you where on one of those massage beds on full noise.

Injectors and coil packs are getting power. Will have to take injectors out to fully test them but they are getting power Ran car checking things yesterday and car was back against shed wall. Wall was covered in black soot but it was wet soot and didn't smell of fuel so at the moment we are leaning to that fact that the coolant chamber is leaking into cylinder but will find out more on Thursday.

Miss is all through the rev range no limit, can still drive the car just sound like its running on 5 cylinders and no real power. have been going over car on weekend and Compression 150 across the board. Definatly No. 3 thats missing Can get power to ignitor but looks to be no signal as such It has been suggested that the coolant chamber is leaking into that cylinder causing it not to fire but have not pressure tested yet for leaks. FARK I hate electrical issues ( that is if it is an electrical issue) still hate them though

If Burnt valve does this = new engine of such

Well So it started the other day it sounded like my Ceffy had dropped a cylinder. Whats has been checked and seem to be fine Ignitor pack Coil Pack (JJR coil packs) Air flow meter (AFM Z32) Wiring to the ECU (I have AVC-R and S-AFC) Wiring to coil packs been tested She is still missing and looks to be No. 3 but still do not know what it could be or where else to look Please assist me in what it might be or what else I could check. R32 and Cefiro computers I have been told are different so swaping them is not an option is this correct?? all help would be great Cheers Billy

What dampener settings is everyone running for the coilovers. I have 16 settings and running 14 on the front and 16 full dampen on the rear. -
Found fuel smell was just the seal on the top of the tank so smell all gone now

After Rear Section Of Ceffy R200 Tailshaft
adrnln replied to CeffyNSW's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Quote from Dangerous Daveo : Reason However if your center bearing is stuffed like mine, then you might want to look at getting a 1 peice shaft as this is cheaper than replacing the center bearing apparently (lighter also, so you get back some of that extra weight of the gearbox + less rotating mass) Quote from Simon-R32 Hardy Spicer on Old Cormack Road in cavan they do a 1 piece for 155 bucks See link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...ff-t103164.html -
