  1. I have a RB25DET speedo sender here. $30. Ive got the RB25 box in my R32, but using a mechanical speedo sender, mine is out at an increasing rate. Indicated 60kmh = 56kmh GPS Indicated 110kmh = 100kmh GPS My speedo and GPS used to be within 1kmh of each other.
  2. Not going to anyway, not my news to tell.
  3. I know what it is V-NICE! /offtopic
  4. You can fit both series 1 and series 2 seats into a R32, so I dont see why not.
  5. Final call, anyone who wants a 1/2 price room, PM me ASAP.
  6. Spotted what looked exactly like the OLDS 32, but it had normal plates on it, on Waterloo Corner Road just before 10 this morning.
  7. Yeah Im really looking forward to it. The exterior of my car remains unchanged from the last one (albeit with more stonechips ) but under the hood is another story. Not that many people will probably notice
  8. Spotted Nightcrawler in the V35 on Port Wakefield Road today.
  9. Its 2 bolts, a plug, and a vacuum line to get off. Right next to the brake booster, possibly the easiest thing on the car to get off
  10. 34's quite often have dodgey sender units dont they? If that is indeed what it is, dont panic at all, its a 30 second fix. BTW, to the best of my knowledge, a turbo wont intermittently boost, it either will, or wont, not both.
  11. Pretty sure I have the best computer here
  12. RB20 love. How good was it when we went out there in the middle of the night and the pile was still smoking lol
  13. Get a 32 with a R33 RB25DET in it. Ultimate win. Much nicer platform for the 25, just ask people who have driven mine
  14. Mechanically series 1 and 2 are the same Ive been told many many times, its just externalities like ignitor module, afm, turbo, ecu, cas etc. Heard rumours that the series 2 has a stronger 3rd gear, but Im unaware of any proof.
  15. Ive got a BOSCH 040, mounted/modded it myself. I got told to go for 3mm off the bottom of the tank, so thats what I did

  17. BoostWorx - 8260 5566 U8 8-12 William Street Cavan S.A 5094 OR Smooth Garage - 8244 4344 177-179 South Tce Wingfield SA 5013 Havent had anything to do with BoostWorx, but I can vouch for Smooth Garage's awesomeness.
  18. Definately go to a import tuner/mechanic. What area do you live in?
  19. Hehe, this is true, kinda like my old RB20 haha Anyway, I'm getting OT. PS. Join SAU-SA, and get club discount, access to shows, trackdays, dinners etc etc. A few times a year we hit the road for country auto expo's. Epic fun to be had.
  20. Both of which will mince a standard turbo in about 3 seconds. Unless its been highflowed Krishy, you'd be suprised, dont forget the NEO motor is a good 22kw more powerful from the factory than the non-NEO RB25.
  21. Welcome Sam! One of the first things I would do, is have the car checked over (suspension, steering, leaks etc), and a quick dyno run, to make sure there are no nasties that can be dealt with now before they cause major problems. This will give you a solid base for some modification and reliability. Many reputable places can do this; BoostWorx, Smooth Garage, Morpowa, Southern Hi-Tech, Classic Performance etc etc. A full, turbo back exhaust system with a minimum diameter of 75mm (3") is essential. There are many, many, many different types of off the shelf systems, or you can have a custom one made by someone like Andrew from AM Peformance. You could install a pod filter, but make sure its secured. A decent panel filter (HKS, TRUST etc) is also just as good, and IMO better because skylines "sneeze" with pods. Unless you want to run VL style flutter. An upgraded intercooler is also a good thing, again, many off the shelf kits. Be aware some of the kits require you to cut the crap out of your bumper and reo bar, you dont really want this. You could get an electronic boost controller or a bleed valve (electronic boost controller recommended) and up the boost a little bit. I'd say you would be pretty happy for a while with those things done. Dont forget also things like decent brake pads, and quality tyres aswell so it stops as good as it goes. Then you can look at things like coilovers etc to upgrade handling.
  22. good ol' VN motor
  23. Hey mate, Im after the front steering rack if you have it. Let me know.
  24. try having a 33 box in a 32, now thats tight! haha I did my entire engine and gearbox conversion with 4 axle stands and 2 trolley jacks. Just make sure you get a good aligner for the clutch. I mounted my gearbox to the motor out of the car, had an aligner, and it was still a bitch to actually get it in there - took 3 go's. Dont tighten up the bolts on the bellhousing if it doesnt slip in on its own. If you do the bolts in an attempt to get the input shaft into the spi-got, youll crack the bellhousing. You will feel when it slots in properly. The R32 gearbox weighs 45kg from memory.
  25. I have splitfires, and it still needed new plugs.
