As far as batteries go, don't be too worried...I didn't even change them at canberra, and took heaps of video footage. I did have a spare set, but didn't use them.What i did however, was buy 4 rechargeable energizer batteries and a recharger... I believe at wakefield i will go through more batteries, as the sessions are longer..And may also run out of room on the 2gb card. But for people with laptops, just take it with you, and empty the card every 2 sessions or so...

(haha...i was really hoping the footage was gonna go sideways round that gravelled up sharp left...and then straighten up again of course!! but alas... Nah i took it easy too...first time ever on a track. So much fun. You must be wrapped to have that footage Chris! ) Yep, I was happy with the footage..But, it also gives me some pointers on where to stick cameras next time..So over the next few week, i also plan to try and set my digital camera up in the car too, with the aim of having it all stock standard, so no drilling etc. A few of the vids I have you can hear the rear wheels spinning on that gravel..next time we need a broom...haha..

Yeah, it was my first time out, and first with the car..so was being very conservative... I think i may have been able to do a 51, but my fastest was a 55..But i was happy..We both came home in 1 piece..lol

I know i knocked out a 1:55:08 on my 4th run on the backtrack... Times were heaps quicker in the arvo.. All in all though, a good day, and am looking forward to the august event, where I will def have a few additions to the SS

Thanks to all the organisers of the event and all the volunteers.. Well done boys and girls. For my first outing in the SS , it was heaps of fun. Can't wait for a proper track day now. I have some videos of the camera mounted to my car, and will sort that out this week too, and will post a couple of links up

Cool..So how do we go about sorting out who stays with who? And will you post a final list up for who is confirmed for the accomodation?

Nah, am ando's friend... :-) And I got a silver SS Commodore..lol.. If I knew about the Texi earlier, I would have come..But i still need to organise a Cams license etc..Too much to do, and so little time..

Just wanted to say Hi.. I drive a VZ SS commodore..But needed to join a Cams Car Club to grab a Level 2S license..I know some guys on here already, and was at the first Texikhana at Sutton Rd last August as a spectator/friend.. Wouldn't mind doing some track days with you all.. Cheers chris
