That shit is exactly why I bailed on town a while back, too many hardcunce. I spent NYE drinkin with a mate and playing a few games of pool, was a good night.
-
LOL @ all cunce whingeing about only getting a few days off over the Chrissy period, least you actually get days off in the first place. I work in a servo, open every day of the year. I get 0 days off over the Chrissy break. Gotta get up @ 4:30am to open the shop on the morning of my birthday too (26th) Needless to say, any days I have no night shift and no morning shift the next day, I will be absolutely shitfaced

It's all for the love of inline 6s Dan. And also for the love of ones that don't spin bearings if you rev them over 7000 I think you missed the part where I was specifically non-specific about who I was referring to Dale
-
Can I be on your debating team Dan? If we amass some more members it can be a mass-debating team
-
I more noticed the opposite. People trying to give off the impression they are angels on the road and never take their cars over 2500 rpm, condemning others bad behaviour when there's every chance they themselves would've engaged in similar behaviour in the past to that of those they are condemning. Pretty much the definition of hypocrisy But in the end I care very little because their words bare no effect on the enjoyment I feel when driving my car, by myself/with my mates, the way that I like to drive it. And this will continue to be the case
-
Fair enough man. All I know is I'm sure as hell not gonna stop enjoying my car cause some other dudes in similar cars drive like wankers. Sleeper spec for the win.
-
Disappointing Dave. I think you're writing off the 'car scene' prematurely. Organised cruises with mass drama and bullshit isn't the real car scene. It's good for a laugh to read the fall out, but quick boosts with a few mates is where its at. When my car's back next year we'll hit up a few more runs and you won't wanna sell your shit man.

Realest post of the last few pages.

cbf with vids. Requires me to organise someone to come along and take the vid - this is beyond the levels of effort I currently have. Probably won't drive it again until I get the HB and other little problems fixed up next year. Got other things to spend my money on like booze and a few chrissy presents to keep the missus happy and after those things I'm skint as (lots of booze is required).
-
Hmmm, pub beers last night, few drinks with a mate tonight, work drinks friday night and probably catching up with mates for drinks satdy night. Sunday probably = death.
-
The headfucks didn't end there either Well it does a half decent skid so once I get the little probs sorted it's on

What Would You Do To A Car Before You Traded It In...
AndrewJZX100 replied to Haysey's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I'd have to go with the 'wash it at a servo' idea. I gave mums Vectra loan car a bit of a hiding when she had - the result was less than inspiring. -
fixed How GTR rim specs could be so unfamiliar to people on a Skyline forum revered for it's overall technical knowledge is beyond me.
-
Stock 32GTR wheels are 16 x 8 +30. +17 is the lowest offset you can run. Width is irrelevant in this case, as the offset is the only part of the wheel specs that effects track.
-
You rang? Seriously for what you want, an 18 x 9 +30 would be perfect. Contrary to Dave's idea, the actual track will not change, as offset is a measure of the distance between the mounting face and the centerline of the wheel. ie In both the 16 x 8 +30 and the 18 x 9 +30 cases, the mounting face is 30mm outwards from the centre of the wheel (where the measurement of track is taken from). There is just an extra half inch of wheel width either side (like you have mentioned). As for tyre width, the 17 x 9 wheels I bought for my Chaser had 255s when I got them, and they were a perfect fit for the conservative look. No stretch, but no gumby looking tyre bulge either. The correct tyre profile can be obtained from one of the many tyre calculators found on the net, by matching rolling diameter as close as possible to stock.
-
Well the harmonic balancer in my car can't be too bad, short stint on the limiter just now and it didn't throw a belt or get any worse Did I mention how much I love boost? :)
-
Weak as, S14s have huge guards. The pic of your fronts is nearly spot on, just needs less tyre.
-
I am a huge fan of both deep taper XT7s and white rims on red cars, so I reckon you should buy em Dave
-
if it would fit an RB20 then would prob be keen. Go the Cressy!! Needa get pics of it for a laugh, shit is well gangstar
-
Just wait, next week it'll develop some other wacked out problem and it'll come dangerously close to the matches and petty again Nah pretty glad it drives as well as it does, just gotta sort a new HB and suss the water temp and *cross fingers* it should be 100% ready to thrash again. Won't really be doing anything till next year though, needa leave it for a bit and save some coin.
-
Skids - the Silvia does them It feels pretty good to drive, but I've been driving the automotive equivilent of a Lay-Z-Boy recliner for the last few months so anything half quick would probably feel like a fkin rocket ship to me It seems the HB issue may just be that it has been slightly separated, then the fool snapped a few of the bolts and tried to do it back up or some shit, and therefore it's loose and wobbling around. The turbs is also leakin bulk from the snapped stud, the water temp sender doesn't seem to work and for some reason when I pump the brakes while idling it nearly stalls None of these things mattered though when I clutched 2nd and it lit up way harder than it ever did before
-
All good man, now that you mention it if you make sure the funds are in your actual bank account before anything leaves your possession I can't really see how you could get rorted either. The clincher is both parties in that convo are women so I guess anything could've happened there
-
having just fucked around for ages putting the engine in, I'm not real keen to rip it out so I can replace the bent crank besides it doesn't cost me anything for it to just sit there, it's already out of rego
-
Ok cause I'm real bored I just went and found the convo between my friends on facebook bit of copy/paste: trying to sell my car on the net and this guy f**ked me over. Lost $1000 lucky it wasn't more. Should get it back. Its a long story but that is the short of it. Police are looking into it now. Not happy. was carsales. Lost it through paypal fraud. Like it is really a long story but this guy was good and screwed us over bigtime. Fake paypal emails and money transfers. I was stupid but according to the police its been happening a lot lately. If u look at carsales website there will be a warning on there now about the scam. f*k not good luke put his on carsale with dads hope it hasnt happend to him too yeah just warn him that if anyone wants to buy his car via paypal to tell them to f**k off lol. oh my god u just reminded me someone did say that but keep asking questions so i told them to f*k off it was a chicks name a chick called Mary is also doing according to the cops. Yeah just watch out for them. All the emails looked legitimate from paypal. This guy was good but not good enough. Dads after him lol. yep that was her name got it in one i have a email from her f**k yeah not good. U should tell the cops that she contacted u because it might help them find her. The guys name was Brad Mills. Just in case u get an email from him too and his email addresses are bradmilly@hotmail.com or drainagewon@gmail.com. m_andison@yahoo.com.au this is one of her emails luke has the other one on his email acc Fair enough she didn't say exactly how they do the sting but I know the people involved and they wouldn't bullshit around, if they say it's dodge then it's a legit scam (excuse oxymoron ). Convo is dated 14th November so it's a somewhat recently active thing too. Meh like I said, sif you'd sell a car to someone sight unseen via paypal. Reeks of dodgy.
