Creaking Noise From The Back Glass Window
Erasmus replied to dodes47's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
More thanks to GoldV35 from me - The creaking had been bugging me for months - four bolts tightened and now the car's completely silent. I had worried it was some kind of structural problem which was going to cost a fortune. -
On this note, how exactly do you replace the bulbs? I had a quick look the other day (admittedly in poor light with a torch) and I couldn't see where the bulbs plug in. In fact, I'm not sure there was any space to put a hand in behind the lights. Do you have to remove bits to get at the lights?

What's with the windscreen? I've had my 2001 V35 300GT Sedan for about 3 months now. I've noticed that at about 100kmh when it's raining (it rains a lot here in N.Z.) the water beads up and just runs off the windscreen so I don't need to use the wipers at all. At first I thought it was treated with Rain-X, but I know that needs to be re-applied frequently, and then I found this page http://history.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/V35/01...MENT/index.html (click on the third tab) on the V35 specs which shows a picture of some glass with the water beading up. Is this a feature of the V35? I haven't seen it on other cars. Is it common?

Cvt8 Or Regular 5 Speed Auto?
Erasmus replied to dacoyne's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The 300GT Series 1 Sedan has a 5 Speed Auto gearbox. -
I've found the TV Tuner. It was under the parcel shelf (I've got a sedan). The model number is TDV-3900M. I found a picture of it on some russian site: The Aux connector appears to be at the top right in this picture, but the unit in my car already has a cable plugged into this connector. All the other cables are black, but this one is light grey. Any idea what it could be for, and where it goes?

I've just bought a 2001 Skyline V35 300GT Sedan. It's got the Bose stereo upgrade (complete with Sat-Nav, DVD ROM in glovebox and 6 Minidisc changer under the arm rest). I want to connect my iPod to the stereo. Ideally, I don't want to go down the RF route. I'd much rather connect it to an Aux-in connection (if there is one). One of the options under the T.V. is called VCR. If I select this, the screen goes black. Could this be an external connection? If so, what do I need to connect my iPod to it? Where in the car would I find the ports? What cables would I need? If this isn't possible, I have two options: RF or using a Tape adapter. Which would sound the best?
