oh and also V-Spec 2 has R33 GTR Running gear. White is right, VS1 and VS2 both had Brembo brakes, I went the VS2 over the standard GTR for this reason, should have been more clear in my other post. And you are correct, VS2 got 245/45/17 tyres on the same size rim

^^^^ lol!

Kakimoto FTW!! HKS Super Dragger oval muffler sounds like poo compared to it!
-
your car is noce and straight dude. I paid a little over 32K for my VSpecII 2 years ago with 90 odd thousand KMs on it. Mine not so original thoughm Kakimoto exhaust, nismo lip and nismo side skirts. I didn't get it for a collectors car though, I got it to drive it and do what ever I want to it. I wanted Brembos so that's why I went VS2. I don't think in Australia that I'll ever get more than I paid for it back when I sell it. Just the way the cookie crumbles over here I guess.

15k damage estimate is pretty low I'd have thought. Those windows would be 10mm laminated glass which would be big dollars, easily in the thousands, ad to that the car, the wheels, and the 15 or 20 Century Batteries that my mate had to go and replace plus the cleanup bill and it easily adds up to quite a fair bit. Dude at work said he was driving past there in Friday night and he asked a guy what was going on, he was told by the dude "I dunno, I think there is some protest thing going on for some shit being cancelled" The guy didn't even know WTF he was there for! lol!!! Hey Hamish, do you have pink hair or are you a rare rainbow troll hahahahaa

run one. Compressor surge is not really a good thing.

Buy My Familia instead! It will sh1t all over a GTiR any day of the week. They also only have 14 inch wheels, the radiator tops crack under the overflow hose and also just below the fill up point, seats are average, interwarmer is fine if you are moving and you can even see the temp of the engine go down if driving at 100kph on a cool night! They look tough as nails though and you can eat you dinner off the rear wing

Cars That Are Way Ahead Of Their Time
BeEnAr replied to HotPlates's topic in General Automotive Discussion
here's a couple not mentioned yet. Some are old classics, some Modern Classics. 1991 Vector W8 (twin turbo 90s supercar from the USofA) Check out the interior too! 1989 Ferrari Mythos 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO 1970 Ferrari Modulo (just look at this thing! Yes it is a car) 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 1973 Lancia Stratos 2005 Maserati Birdcage (I know it wasn't produced for the masses but it was a working, driving concept) 1960 Porsche 718 RS Spyder That'll do for now. Plenty of curves in there to gawk at. -
Hows This For The Ultimate Fail...
BeEnAr replied to StealthX's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I'm probably gonna go down in Flames here but I actually don't mind it at all. Something a loy different to the normal I suppose, like that NSX turned Fezza. -
looks pretty good from the pic though, even the heat shield on the exhaust doesnt look too bad, especially the lack of rust on it.

What Is The Smallest Legal Steering Wheel Size?
BeEnAr replied to calum32's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I could have sworn it was 350mm that was the smallest allowed. Oh and if it's ADR approved then that makes it road legal yeah? Reason I ask is that Super Cheap are selling a non padded centre PU Sports wheel in 350mm that is ADR approved. Hamish, you don't even have a horn button lol! holding the wire to the boss does not costitute having a button either -
Agreed ^^^^ Except they were open for business as usual today albeit without a few windows and minus a few rims. Oh and the need for the lighting of flares at a peaceful protest was what???? Hmmm and also the need to pound on the cars of innocent passers by that weren't in a performance car achieved what exactly???? And the "protest" (read stupidity) went on for a lot longer than 5-10 minutes. This has done nothing to help anything and has only set the motorsport community back about 30 odd years. Hey I wonder if BJ will still run legal off street drags for them all still, so they can run down the strip in the fully sik hectic uleh VL's with their shirts off flexing their muscles. I am thinking that it's not on BJ's list of must do's. So yep, good on ya fellas for ruining yet another avenue for some of us to have some LEGAL fun with our cars in a controlled environment. Have fun cruising the Krispy Kreme carpark and running laps of the Prinny Fricken douches they are.

the age has a full photo slideshow. Fairfax photographer was there. He is in one of the vids with a nice long Canon L to play with. Oh should add to my previos post about the Easternats Organisers being soley responsoible for the cancellation. It was also the Brimbank council as they didn't want the headache of closing down Calder Park Drive. Even though they do it on every big event there.
-
So Bob Jane was at Calder drags last night, as was the GM of Calder Park, both of them were hit up about the cancelling of EasterNats and both of them said similar things with regards to it. It was neither Bob Jane nor Calder Park complex that called off the event. It was in fact the organisers of Easter Nats. So there is a little bit of infor that obviously none of these tools knew. I know I didn't until last last night and was quick to jump on the fcuk you BJ bandwagon. I am now retracting my stance on BJ and CP and frowning upon the organisers of EasterNats. Oh and a friend of mine lives just across the road from Oakleigh BJTMart and said that the people there last night were seriously out of control and just there to cause trouble, evident by the raft of videos on the tube. Dog Squad was called in, riot cops and the air wing is what he told me. I wasn't there so I can't confirm this but why would he make it up. He stayed in his yard and watched in shame.

+1 for NISTune

I always put a plastic bag over PODS when washing the car. just remember to take them off before you leave!

Spotted new SAU stickers on my 32. Pitty one was a bit fcuked and didn't stick to the window from the transfer sheet properly (was folded over on itself) I have now had to trim a little with the razor blade. Looks a bit crap so might just buy new ones
-
won't cause any issues except a bit of slop in the rear end (giggity) but you prob won't notice it. I've got one leaking on my 32 as well, just haven't had time to get it done yet. Pineapples can be made from Metal (very harsh as no give) or you can get urethane ones that are a little less harsh. Both are a lot stiffer than the factory ones.
-
shit dude, that looks welded/glued on for sure. The gear knob is not supposed to be that low on the stick.

Check Out These Shift Knobs I Made...
BeEnAr replied to ctnewman's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
nice. I'd love to own a faber! so many posibilities! -
yeah chail lube. Try and get the Finish Line MTB dry chain lube. It has teflon in it but it goes on wet and dries so no drippy drippy and no gunk gets stuck to it. Can't imagine anything worse than WD40 on a pedal, except maybe armour all on anything!
-
looks similar to the rear subframe bush. They are oil filled on 32's which is what the fluid will be. Your's has a split in it causing it to seep out. Time for pineapples

yeah me too. If you don't want to claim you don't have to, that's why it's called an assessment, you are still entitled to not go ahead with a claim if you don't want to. I'd have fought that one and not given them the keys. You still own the car man, you are not leasing it from Insurance company. Sounds a bit suss to me. Oh yeah, I wanna see damage pics too! 10 pages now and all we've seen is text and a few ice balls.... hehehehehe balls
