  1. Definately worth cleaning them up when heads off, bit of a headache of a job by having to disassemble each one and clean it separatley and not mixing up parts but worth it when there good as new and you save 120 each for 24 new ones.
  2. willing to separate? where you located?
  3. The machining would really really average if a tomei head gasket is leaking on it as they tolerate pretty much same surface finish as the stock headgasket. Should always use a straight edge on head and block before putting on the gasket just to double check.
  4. Was it tightentend in stages? From the way you wrote about 87 i would intepret that as not much care taken. Could be any one of those in correct tightening procedure, poor machining , faulty gasket allthough i wouldnt put that as very likely espicialy with the tomei ones as they are not as sensitive to surface flatness levels as other metal ones.
  5. Cant remember but few years ago when i was considering hiflowing was around 100 mark each i think.
  6. Yeah I do that to find all my leaks works well except I put the compressor outside or in different room to take the noise away.
  7. If there done well they work fine.
  8. At the moment probably stock one doesnt see over 7500rpm so dont really see it as a real concern.
  9. Just jap arms just like all other about +-3 degrees
  10. Thats the cylinder 1 coil pack signal wire that you use when your setting the timing.
  11. Yeah thats what I was leaning towards collar and gears since I have had no trouble with oil issues and pump so I dont see the point in going high flow pump and then having to do all the oil mods to use it aswell.
  12. Im slowly building a rb25 bottom end on the side for my drift car. Nothing to crazy just forged pistons rods and will be 300-350kw. Now Ive been reading on oil pump choices and since my stock rb25 has been in my car for a few years and still going strong with no oil starvation issues I dont really see the point of going a high flow pump like a jun or nitto and doing all the oil control mods etc. So something like a standard pump would do the job but people have reported that buying new standard pumps of n1 in the past few years have failed. I was thinking of just putting billet gears into the standard pump as my best option. What are peoples thoughts.
  13. As long as it is 3.5inch through with no restriction it will be fine. The worst part about the restrictor in the resi its not something you can really check unless you chop it off and by that time you might aswell change it if you've chopped it off.
  14. Ones a camber arm and ones a traction arm.
  15. Difference is cusco bearings will last longer and arms probably are stronger. That being said I run jjr arms on my drift car and been fine for last 1.5years but thats not a daily so bearings might go quick on a daily.
  16. If ppl think you can beat r33 for money over performance your crazy under 5g these days if you look around spend Another 5 got a reliable weapon. How can people say 32 gtst nd r34 gtt look so much better then r33. The 32 gtst and 34 gtt look half done because there missing the wideness that the gtr have. Now the gtr thats diff story 32 and 34 look better then 33 gtr but 32 gtst and 34 gtt look plain imo without wide body front and reAr whereas 33 gtst can get away with it abit more with good offset and low since its more curvier and wider. Thats my 2cents anyway.
  17. The 235 on the 9.5 is good and its still a nice stretch 215 are borderline for the 9 no way should you put on the 9.5
  18. the turbolight or hpr is more than enough, I use them for my track car. I dont see the point of 150 for oil on street car.
  19. Go the heavy dutys if your buying new ones.
  20. You can get a bottle of tge redline stuff from just jap for 99 as appose to most other places that want 150 so not to bad for 100. Fill it from the side plug on the box or you can remove the shifter and fill it from there.
  21. 33 gtst nd 34 gtt have the same suspension parts.
  22. The diff is about 1.3L and the gear box about 3.8L. Instead of getting nulon for the box then putting in the addidtive just use redline lightweight shockproof already got the addidtive in it and works great in rb boxes. The rest of the oils are fine will do the job.
  23. You gota buy them separatly.
  24. 24 22 is a good combo that alot of ppl have used including myself and it performed well.
