Clutch Search For An R34 Gtt
boostn0199 replied to ReeceGTS-T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Nismo twin isnt noisy mate I just put one in the other day and actually still am quite suprised how quiet and soft the pedal is and how easy it is 2 to drive if you wearnt the one who installed the clutch you could mistaken it for a stock clutch youd never pick its a twin but as you said if you got the budget for it its a great clutch. -
Chequered Tuning is the best option.

R33 Steering Rack Spacers?
boostn0199 replied to ryzan's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yep 33 racks are shit only got 4mm extra travel inside the rack thats you never get as much look as you do with s chassis. Depending how much lock you want but with 33 rack and knuckles i can get 49degrees lock if you want more need to fit one of the other racks. -
Hot Side Piping Question
boostn0199 replied to Strick.'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yep tbolt clamps are big bulky and you need to do them up ridiculously tight, the norma worm gear spring tension clamps are the best have never had a pipe blow off also make sure all your pipes are lipped at the end. -
If you are going to be drifting yeah i would put a surge tank in. In terms of line size for that power stock lines are enough so you can just extend current lines to your surge tank if you want to save some money of running conpletley new lines or dash 6 is more than enough if you do want to run new lines.

Final Word On Hicas Delete
boostn0199 replied to colourclassic's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
you will have permannent heavy steering because the solonoid on the rack has no voltage being applied to it so will put no preload on plunger in rack. Easiest solution is take out the solonoid in the rack and preload with 5cent coins until you have the feel you want in the steering. I use 2 5cent coins in my drift car and feel is good similar to what you would have if you were doing 100ks with ecu controlling it. So to adjust simply more shims make it lighter less shims heavier. -
Npc Performance Clutches! Thumbs Up!
boostn0199 replied to Yeedogga's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah i guess difference is in my use its cinstntly clutch kick 3rd 4th gear consecutively as appose to drag doing 1 launch then it has time recover and cooldown or circuit driving its proper shifting. But like i said definately good clutch in terms of what it can take for such a low camping force and does save boxes. The only exedy that is good is the hhhdb clutch disc is identical to the npc with only diff having a massive 1500n clamping load pressure plate lol but rest of the mild exedy clutches dont take much abuse. -
Npc Performance Clutches! Thumbs Up!
boostn0199 replied to Yeedogga's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Good clutch worked well but doesnt last too long under heavy abuse compared to my previous exedy HHHDB but trade off is its easy on the box lasted 11 drift events roughly 1 year HHHDB lasted 2.5years and still was working when removed going to move up to the twin plate super coppermix competition now. -
300Kw Unopened 25 Club...
boostn0199 replied to joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ive had e85 in those plastic jerrys for 6months and had no issues used it in the car after that, have also left e85 in metal jerrys outside in the rain in winter for few months again used the fuel and no problems. -
Are you running a flex pipe in your dump and has your dump got a solid mount to the body near its flange like the std ones do? they play a big part in saving manis, gaskets, loose bolts etc.

Help! I Cant Refit The Exhaust Manifold
boostn0199 replied to ausdrift's topic in General Maintenance
Your manifold warped and probably a few of the old studs have even got slightly bent, ive had it before was warped that bad i had to actually cut the manifold into peices to get it off and new manifold would not fit on until I put new studs. -
Another thing to add to the list is your CAS when they are starting to die they are always act random.

R34 Gt Rb25de+t Intercooler Piping Setup
boostn0199 replied to Sammy P34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
what do you mean how? -
Hypergear SS2 is the perfect turbo for what your after similar to my setup 350kw on e85 @18psi and full boost at 3800
-
You will not have a problem as long as metal intake its fine airbox will do 300 plus no prob
-
lol nothing that bride makes is adr approved not the seat not the rail
-
Put them all in by hand all the way then start the actual torqueing and stuff when your asselbling the nuts on. Dont need anything on the stud as yeah hot side its gona melt anyway, can put some graphite power on it if you want to help it not seize but dont have to.
-
Dont use the chassis rails there are 4 points on the sils that have a lump for the jack stands to sit in nicely and are a solid point, using the cross member is fine aswell but rails will bend
-
Give the crank few hard taps with a brass or wodden mullet impact usually loosens the gear.
