  1. The cluster must alter the signal somehow because its reading 4times the speed wired directly to sensor now or either the ecu just takes the reading off the the std speedo gauge itself. Have mucked around with resistors today added 1k but did not change anything.
  2. I I got power fc. This is the diagram ive seen it on, which one are you using? http://www.sau.com.au/forums/uploads/post-2917-1129784245.jpg
  3. Dont think theres anytging ecu side muck around with it. On the wiring diagram shows ecu output to a resistor then to speed sensor now since originally the ecu gets the signal from cluster im assuming the resistor for correctiin would be there. Might have to much around with a potentimeter see if i cand find the value.
  4. Anyone know the vaule resistor that the stock gtst cluster uses to convert the speedo signal going to the ecu? Ive binned the cluster and just want to keep running the speedo signal direct to the ecu and get the reading off the power fc but now it is reading to high as there is a resistor used in the cluster to correct.
  5. Get some loctite freeze and release and spray it with that will help the get power bar with pipe and and you will get it off or easier option if you have a rattle gun.
  6. Its a presss fit will need to pressed out on press so eitherway have to remove knuckle to fix. Just get a new knuckle for 20 30bux and put it in will take 20min.
  7. I only know of cartel in Aus but I get mine direct from driftworks it works out cheaper then cartel and usually prob quicker since they ship with fedex i have it in a 3or4 days from ordering.
  8. Same as above 044;on e85 3 years so far no problem. Might be lift pump filter issues that are giving some people issues.
  9. Yeah mate all the guys that have made the switch to shockworks have not looked back everyone has been impressed. On my setup adj arms I'm using driftworks for camber traction castor arms and knuckles are JDI (place in melb) alot of victorian drift scene guys use them for S/R chassis. Ive had the drifworks arms for 3 years now and still fine no problems, gktech arms from what I have seen tend to be alright it was more the alloy knuckles which had some problems.
  10. I In that case yes definately I would highly recomend shockworks they are 1800. I am using them on my r33 drift car and I have had cusco then bc and the shockworks are in a different league they really are that good. The amount of feedback you feel from your suspension as you drive is what really hit me first time driving with them. Being local aswell they are always happy to give advise on setup, make custom changes for your request and rebuilds are really cheap. For the price you pay for them you wont find anything come near it at a similar price. If you are in melbourne you can go to them and they will take you for a drive through the twisties in there r34 test car which is stock with just the coilovers and you will definately be impressed.
  11. Its same as all the other entry budget coilovers like BC ,HSD etc. will do the job. But if your looking for that level of coilover you might aswell buy BC since its local and easy to get warranty support etc. If you want to go a more serious coilover the next level something like shockworks which are leagues above all those entry spec ones you will buy.
  12. The spring adjustment is to adjust preload, BC will have a recomended pre load to start of with and for most people they will keep at that if you aren't fine tuning,. Eitherway its always good to check that preloads are set correct on all new coilovers before just chucking them in sometimes they are off.
  13. yeah at the moment i have a cooler but even without cooler for 2years never had issues with pump still on my first one.
  14. nothing wrong with the 10dollar castrol power steering fluid been using it in my drift car for years and holds up well considering how hard racks are worked in a drift car. dis connect lines from reservior drain it all oout and if you want it out of the rack disconnect lines on rack and turn wheel a few times will get it all out of rack aswell.
  15. Rewiring the full car and cannot find the ignition relay I thought it should be next to the ECCS one but not there, anybody know where it is?
  16. hypergears own 50mm one is good and cheaper than the others.
  17. Yeah my mistake i meant to write july instead of june my car is july not june. I dont really understand why there would be a variation in tps in all s2 motors since physically there identical.
  18. yeah kudos lists both 10 and 01
  19. well the other thing is I tried another vin of a r33 that had a build date 3/96 and it came up with the 01 part only for mine does it return both.
  20. Yeah well the problem im having is my cars date is june 96 so it falls on the borderline and so fast is returning with both part numbers.
  21. If your looking at the slave and it doesnt look like its pushing the fork enough then yeah its either your master or slave, but Im assuming your slave is new since you only mentioned the master was 2nd hand? Have you played around with the rod adjusment on the master?
  22. Im looking to get a new TPS, now there are two part numbers for s2 one is NIS-22620-17U10 for 06/96 onwards and NIS-22620-17U01 for 01-06/96. Putting my VIN into fast it lists both of them, so what are they the same thing? Why different part number.
  23. Thats what I did had the nismo initially and then it became my lift pump when I went surge so far 4 years on e85 and no problem.
  24. Expensive option but ive been using my nismo intank as my lift pump for 4years on e85 and so far so good.
  25. Good work for taking the plunge will keep this option in mind if my fiveo's ever deceide to die. how much did it all cost u?
