  1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the normal barbs and clamps like I said mine have been on for years and I actually could not remove the barb from the hose i had to cut the hose its that tight, imo even when I use pushons I always still put a clamp on as I still dont like to rely on a push fitting. Potentially you could use a push on -6 fitting on 3/8 size hose as they are pretty the same dia but yeah I wouldnt recomend it. heres a pic of my setup anyway super simple and reliable.
  2. What do you mean 6an to 5/16? As in you want a 5/16 push lock end instead of barb? the pushlock ends are made specifically for those hoses as they are there own diameters made specifically for those fittings so you wont find a push lock fitting made for convential hose sizes, I wouldnt be using normal hoses on push locks. What is your reason of wanting the push locks over the normal barbs?
  3. Im using 8an fitting from surge to my 044 then the an8 5/16 barb fitting from pump to engine. Dont know about other pumps but I know 044 no issues with AN8 feed.
  4. Yeah thats correct, I personally run the return from surge to fuel tank on top but yeah either works whatever you prefer. Youll have to other seal off rear boot from in cabin or make a enclosure for the tank.
  5. Dont expect to remove it without undo the gearbox mount and droppin it down as much as possible.
  6. Do the xspurts 40mm come in 1000cc ive only seen them in 740 and 2000. What do they go pricewise?
  7. So what are then lengths of the 1/2 injectors do they fit under the intake or still need to cut stuff, are they shorter then the xpurt 40mm ones?
  8. If you change fuel filters often enough shouldn't have any problems, 3 years so far for me full time e85 and everything is clean fuel filters, injectors.
  9. is it only the 1200s that you find idle problems with? cause Ive got the 1000s in mine and even before a tune from just me setting the corrections it idled perfect like stock injectors but Im also on e85 so that might be helping things.
  10. haha cheers mate, heres another one from a couple of months ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOdfjhrf9nU
  11. Yeah that was kind of the reason I had for suggesting surge is best option since he said its a track car so I assumed street stealth wasnt an issue but if it was a street car with occasional track then yeah you would sacrafice a little bit and live with having to fill it up. Just leave it in tank and atleast you know you have a overkill lift pump that you dont have to worry about failing. Pumps are pretty cheap these days so take your pic to whatever you want to use as your surge feed pump. I personally use a 044 but yes they are old and there are better pumps out there but I got a few for cheap and they do the job for me.
  12. how is that a good solution? It doesnt solve hes problem cause now you have half capacity of your tank, you have to muck around with bringing more fuel, potentially still having the problem occur if you let it drop again and if your racing around you want to get all the free weight off you can. He can solve thos problem for under 500 and be able to run it down til the light comes on if you wanted to.
  13. Nothing wrong with just efi hose and push on fittings. Ive used it on my surge setup for 3 years no issues and ive actually not been able to take off the lines off the barbs its that tight so no safety issues for it coming off. Cheapest way just get a surge tank and your basic speedflow push on fittings and some efi house and whatever pump you want and problem will be solved for a few 100 dollars.
  14. Theres nothing wrong with doing that but if you are planning on upgrading turbo afm etc anytime soon then its a waste of time as you might aswell do it all at once and just use the stock ecu for now.
  15. well depends how long were talking, if its a few months 3-4 then I wouldnt be worried about draining it and its really only winter that makes it really at its worse during the hotter times of the year its not really an issue, personally I have not seen any issues on my own setup inregards to pumps, lines injectors developing any issues and this was from maybe sitting for 6months. The only issue I have seen if you constantly start the car without getting oil to temp your oil will eventually to much e85 in it from the bores, so aslong as you take care of that you will be fine. But eitherway if its track car new oil before each event and you wont have a problem.
  16. Have used e85 on my track car for the past few years used about once a month basically I just keep fuel tank at atleast 3/4 tank when sitting there, dont start it unless im going to get the oil up to temp, new oil before every track day and replace new ryco fuel filter every year and have had no issues.
  17. Why do you need aftermarket ones? Whats wrong with standard?
  18. Yeah my pics is here but my manifold is brae not 6boost but here it is anyway.
  19. Anyone have a pic of there 6boost on cause from pics the angle of the manifold definitely doesn't look right.
  20. be creative cheap spanner and a oxy or grinder and make your own special spanner. Not only china manifold nearly all manifolds end up having one bolt thats impossible with certain turbos.
  21. sounds like lifter from vid but always hard to tell from a vid.
  22. Another job that I just did over this long weekend on my new car that I just got. Used meguiars NXT wash followed by contours clay bar, scholls s3 cutt scholls s30 polish and finished it off with contours drift coat wax.
  23. yeah thats why i mentioned assuming hes engine is decent with good comp and no blow by then yeah it is safe at 350kw providing the tune is good and you maintain the car properly.
