If your gonna use e85 350 will be no problem and safe on your stock engine and if 98 300 will be fine. Of ourse this is assuming the motor is still going well so good comp, no blow by etc. even 350 on 98 isnt that crazy if the tune and everything else is good espcially if only a street car.

Process was basically get thd body dtraight since it was completly damaged both sides so alot of oxy and body filler lol but then it was final sand , primer, 800 grit sand, fill any holes with putty, sand putty with 400, then primer over putty areas, sand 800 again, paint, then sand 2000 , cut, polish. I didnt use a clear since its a solid colour and also its going to be constantly repaired and touched up so makes it easier with no clear. In saying that i consoder my process a rough job if you want to go step further after paint sand down with 1200 then 1500 then 2000 folowed by cut polish will give a perfect finish but takes considerably longer since that last sanding process takes the longest. -
If your smashing it at the track at high revs and all of a sudden you notice no pressure on your oil gauge its pretty much too late only takes a few sec at high rpm to starve the bearings, allthough it does help you see if before you start pumping the car if you have an unusual low oil pressure compared to normal which can alert you to investigate before giving the car a thrashing. Fuel pressure will help as you will constantly be able to check the condition of it and can tell if its starting to die.

Pretty much my first real attempt at detailing and polishing, did it on my new home respray job on my track car. Used a super cheap DA polisher then scholls s3 gold for cutting and s30+ for polish as recomended from Antonio from waxit and I'm very happy how well the product works no mess at all! Car was rubbed down with 2000grit wet after spray before cut and polishing it. -
That pic you posted of the inside of your muffler there is a restrictor in it also ontop of that it looks like its a lourverd muffler that isnt the best aswell.
-
locktite freeze and release always works really well provding the stud isnt already snapped and just hanging on there it will get it off no problem without snapping it.

Have you shown tao one of the failed turbos and seen what he makes of it?

They are doing 350kw on e85 on my setup on my track car so they get put to the test and are performing fine so there is no problems with rhem just cause some high flows are poor backyrd jobs doesnt mean all are. -

The question is not whether you can or cant the question is if you have an option that will work out cheaper bolt straight in no need for new connectors rails regs why would you bother going top feed route. $650 will get you 1000cc delivered that bolt straight in and do the job well. -
Its not that difficult, the actual mirror is clipped on to the motor so if you wedge it carefully it will pop out then its just a matter of unscrewing a few screws and it will all dissassemble.
-
343kw at 18 psi on e85. Mods are ss2 turbo, brae manifold,50mm gate, and then the usual bolt ons like pump injectors pfc etc. stock engine apart from tomei poncams.
-
Pretty much if you know your going to settle for 360kw then might aswell go for ss2 and gain the response but if you want more or are unsure if you will want/need more then upsize.

^ Thanks for the advice mate good info will take it on board.

I started off with nismo 550 but the reason why I did end up going with these 5omotorsport 1000s was due to nismo not going bigger the 740 and theres nothing else really out there in 1000s that will drop straight in as the next step is mucking around putting top feeds in but is a hassle if you still run the standard plenum. But yeah as I said mine have been perfect so far and they idle like the stock and nismo ones did so no problems there. -
I wasnt referring to other places around the world as I havent experienced it, I was refering to Australia as thats what I have seen and from what Ive seen many people do not have the issues not running them including myself, but anyway lets not make this into another one of the bov kill /dont kill threads lol.
-
Most ppl out there on the track dont run bovs these days espcially in the drift scene i doubt thats the problm as everyone else isnt having a problem with it.
