no worries well firstly ive marked out the exact problem on your photo. you can see in the pic how it is touching the side of bracket now this is preventing it from going strgiht which causes it to stop sometimes halfway. Now this is a picture of my one. notice in mine how it is straight in the middle and also not touching anywhere now what I have done is firstly enlarged the centre hole that made it easier to put the rod in secondly cut down the line with a grinder where i have marked but leaving abit left at the top them dummi fitted it back and started bending the braket back until the actutor rod sits dead centre. now once uve found the posositon you can test it by pulling the acatuor rod a few times and seeing if it doesnt get stuck just make sure you have someone holding the bracket in postion so it doesnt bend back, now once you have the right posisiton using a small pience of metal to close the gap where u have bended the braket weld it all up in order it holds and you should not have any problems, but yeah if you test it by pulling it and it doesnt lock up then you can be prety sure it will work. hope this solves your problem like it solved mine.

boostn0199 replied to Drakey's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If your thinking aobut hi flowing then stao from hypergear is very good and he also has turbo upgrades that are at a good price I have a tr43i on mine and am happy with the results. -
where did you guys get yours hi flowed, prefably looking for places in melb but ye list whateva you have with that do a good job thanks
-
there no need to get external to fix it your problem lies in the way the acutator sit as I to had this on my hypergear tr43i turbo since gthere similar in design do you see how your acator rod is not dead centre on the actour hole dats you problem modify your bracket so as it alligns dead centre dis will elimanate it getting stuck it is not hard 2 do aswell if you want more infromation i can give you more detail of how i modified mine.

how much are a set of nismo 555cc injectors and where can i get get them from? Ive also had a look at the hi flow injectors from detchswerks.com
-
Hi, Im looking to upgrade injectors for my r33 which will need to get me to 300kw, now im left to choose from s15 injectors, a set of aftermarket new 550cc injectors or hi flowing mine. What do you guys think is the best option and what have you had experience with and where can I find the best prices to get some, thanks.

yeah thought so mufflers all good apart from that, ill weld it up after clear my epa
-
I was taking off my exhust today and one of the hooks that are welded onto the rear cannon muffler snapped off along with a peince of the actual muffler it self so there is a whole in the side of the muffler just wondering is it worth welding it back up or get a new rear muffler
-
gap them down again as guilttoy said
-
Well im losing my lincese in a few weeks so im gona save up do the injectors pump and afm then get remap ecu at dr drift and tuned. so ye a while
-
Ill try get you a pic of the dump pipe installed but you basically get a 2.75inch Oring which you end up welding to your existing dumpipe then clamp it on. yeah its tr43I 500hp turbo IW and i think its 29mm
-
what clamp did you use uras?
-
I havnt put the turbo heat shielf bak on cause its kinda hard to fit it in theres not much room espiacly with the acutaor and all you would prob have to modify the origanal one cutting it down alot and bolting it to the exhust manifold heat shield but yeah apart from that looks stock espcially with stock airbox
-
Here are the pics for you if you have any other specific photos of the install you want just ask how the turbo fit in note the actuator realy close to the body so bracket had to be changed so it would come to the middle abit more also exxhust manifold heat shield trimmed size of the turbo custom cooler pipe 2inch to 2.5inch going from turbo to stock cooler pipe how the cooler pipe extension sat roughly how it would look like when put together prety well hidden intake pipe made up used a 90degree silicon elbow from the turbo then this 45 degree offcut clamped onto the elbow can you spot the boost controoler LOL how it looks in the end now
-
yeah sure ill put them up when i go on my other comp there uploaded on it
-
Where can I get a decent v clamp from?
-
the install went alright you need to trim the manifold heat shield, extend you cooler pipe make up and intake pipe and oil line is given and water lines blocked up and the dump pipe in regards to it buckling i put the extension inside the o ring and spot welded around it so was no buckling because its matches up perfect with the Oring on the turbo and dump it just doenst seal ive put sum exhuast sealant and a gasket and its worked fine. but the turbo itself is great a few minor things to modify but worth it rather than paying 4000 for a direct bolt
-
Just finshed my install of this turbo on my r33 and im very happy with it, besides the design of the dump being clamped on by a O ring whcih leaked everywhere the turbo it self it performing quite well also ill add that im running stock ecu and only running about 12 psi stock fuel pump it has a lil bit more lag but once u hit boost it goes and skates everywhere great turbo guys for a half the price of a gt3076 or 3071.
-
maybe a bit off topic but im in the middle of installing this turbo into my r33 and im having trouble in finding a hose to run from the standard bov into my custom made intake pipe aparently they dont make the size and there stiff so hard if you get twists what have you guys done to get out of this.
-
yeah fair enough. thats still fairly solid for a stock clutch 250kw
-
I picked up one of these turbos about a week ago almost finished putting it in for my r33, results sound good at 14psi, out of interest if your the stock clutch?
-
I was just thinking with the standard bov say for instance the recirc hose which is normaly connected to the intake pipe what if that hose was left open and the air vented into atmos would this work , I don't see why it wouldnt and also say for instance you change your intake pipe and dont have the nipples for oil breather and recirc hoses would it would to coneect those to hoses together and have the air from the bov instead of goin into the turbo intake goin into the oil breather line and used as the air for that?
