  1. oh bloody hell thats all i needed today, this is gonna cost me isnt it
  2. everything else still feels the same, its just hard to get itno gears. whats the slave cylinder and where is it?
  3. Car: R33gtst Hey guys I need a little help here, it seems that either my clutch or gearbox is about to sh*t itself. Recently its been a little hard putting it into gear, today was a complete sh*t fight, and don’t think its going to get better. Ive never had a clutch problem before so I don’t know what to look for if its stuffed, it doesn’t seem to be slipping and its not sticky from gear to gear, its just extremely hard to get it into gear. 1st and reverse are the worst and the others are pretty bad, it feels almost as if im shifting gears raw without using the clutch Also sometimes when I try to get it into 1st it makes a high pitched grinding noise. Anyone have experience with this?? Please help, thanks guys
  4. Hey mate, ive had a similar problem, dont worry about the oil in the intake pipe, thats normal, its from the rocker cover breather, thats why people get catch cans, anyhow, a few months back i heard a slight squeek from my turbo when on boost, as the months went past it got worse and worse untill one day coming from work i floored it and the squeek got significantly louder and the car seemed to loose alot of power. i thought it was shaft play, so i bought another turbo, took my one off and the propelers seemed fine on both ends, anyhow, i put the new turbo on and there was a significant differance in the sound and power of the car, it was like driving a totally new car, im still not too sure what was wrong with the old one might have been the internals of the turbo that were f**k*d. hope that helps, good luck
  5. first check the blue 15a fuse in the boot, than go to the fuse box below the steering wheel, its the A/T fuse, third one down on the right hand side 10A after that check the relay by taking off one from the Air con, than u shuld take the fuel pump and directly link the wires to the battery to check if its working if the above fail.
  6. Hey mate, over the years ive had a few starting problems, most of which were something simple. i remember once when the car just died at random, id let it cool down then got it started but died after a while again, got worse and worse, i went out and changed the Crank Angle sensor, and the AFM, which fixed it. again check grounding wires, fuses (in boot, and below steering wheel), if the fuel pump is priming, undo the lead to the engine to see if fuel is actualy getting to the engine. this might be a stab in the dark, but happened to a mate of mine, maybe u have a pice of cloth in ur piping thats blocking something, maybe in intercooler piping, if u stuck it there while u were working on the engine. otherwise might be the ECU thats getting something confused, unlikely tho, its something u could fix in 5 minutes i bet. good luck
  7. i know hey, oh well... um why it blew no fricken clue, never had any problems with fuses before i just chucked another one in, ill investigate if it blows again, feels so good to have my car back
  8. Ok fellas PROBLEM SOLVED and i feel like a total idiot, i conected the pump directly to the battery and it started priming, so i went back to square one and went to check the fuses again, First f**ki*g fuse i puled out was buggered, turns out when i checked it the first time i pulled out the wrong fuse bloody moron i am, 3 minutes of work turned into 3 days lol Thanks to all that tried to help i learnt a few things, hopefuly this thread helps others with a similar problem p.s new turbo feels like im driving a totaly new car
  9. I think i found a similar problem, reversed into the garage everything was fine few hours later no fuel, pump not priming, most likely a ground wire loose somewhere link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/188298-car-wont-start-need-urgent-help/page__p__3397140__hl__fuel+pump+not+priming+__fromsearch__1#entry3397140
  10. thanks dude, ill check that tomorrow, i have a mate coming over with his 33 to compare how things should be working. where are all the relays and fuses, i have checked the ones in the boot only. also could it be that the ECU is not powering the pump? ive been looking on other posts on SAU but they just end randomly no one says how they fixed their problem ><
  11. p.s there seems to be power going to the switch on top of the pump when i inspect it
  12. ok when i have the pump outside the fuel tank, but i plug everything in, and turn the key, i cant hear anything, i was pretty sure there was meant to be some kind of noise, so im guessing its not priming? what could that mean? im not so good with electrical stuff
  13. the thing thats got me puzzled is no fuel pisses out when i unplug the fuel hose leading to the injectors. everything seems to work so what could have went bust in that one day, that restricts the fuel??
  14. Nah, I checked the one in the boot, blue 15amp i think it was
  15. Hey guys I have little problem, over the weekend I swapped the turbo on my r33 to a turbo from an r34, it want all that hard or complicated mostly fiddly. After I put everything back together the car started for about 3 seconds and turned off, after which it would just crank but wouldn’t start. I went and checked a few things: * Air intake and suction from turbo is there and good. *The coil packs work fine and working. *The fuel pump relay clicks so it works. **BUT when I unplugged the fuel feed line to the engine and went to crank it, NO fuel came out, SO fuel is not getting to the engine. I went and got a fuel pump from a guy off SAU but same again, I went and got another fuel pump and same result again, no fuel to engine. Im thinking it cant be 2 dud fuel pumps in a row, but there is also no noise coming from the pump when its outside the tank and plugged in, im not sure if there is supposed to be any tho. Has anyone had this problem??? any help appreciated
  16. sweet ill take it, ill PM you, cheers mate
  17. interested in dump pipe mate, i have a factory turbo setup on my 33 would this just bolt on or will i have to get the good old angle grinder out
  18. your also on SAU, i just sent you the msg about the turbo
  19. no probs dude, awesome wheels thanks heaps. let me know how you go with urs.
  20. interested, PM sent. offset 60??? thats a bit high for 18"x8" isnt it, are u sure its 60, how does it fit on an R33?
  21. oh shitters ive noticed a slight bit of a high pitched squeel when i boost mine reacently too, boosts fine tho no problems, dint think much of it but now that you mention it i should have a look at leaks, loose bolts ans inside the turbo. ive been wanting to change the stock turbo for a while now anyway. anyone know whats a good lil aftermarket (street) turbo that gives deacent performance for a reasonable price thats not gonna get too much attention from cops when they lift up the bonnet ( for some reason they like doing that and pointing at shiny things) thanks fellas
  22. '(had in the shape of a gun)' hahah classic i love this thread. great storry and explanation GTST dude, we are all a lil less stupid now.... but what is 'boost', only kidding only kidding
  23.
