Can anyone recomend an exhaust shop here in Adelaide? I was
leaning towards exhaust technology but anyones opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
i see, it stages the boost through the rev band...dont have a boost gauge yet thats why i assumed it was for different purpose. So unless you plan to keep standard boost it is virtually useless because of its limitatin to only lift boost by 2psi.
It is located on the passenger side strut tower, looks like a small solenoid with three vacium/pressure lines running to/from it. One is from the wastegate itself, one from the alloy elbow that goes over your rocker cover(s) that would read pressure and one that bleeds air back into the intake of your turbo. Can you see how it works? Some of the boost from inlet is bled back into duct just before turbo before the remainig boost is used to push wastegate cannister open and hence control boost. I have heard that this common only to series 2.
Apparently, so i have read, it controls the rate that boost climbs and the amount of boost in each gear so as to give a more linear power delivery, very common on Audis. Audi uses them to adjust boost pressure with climate to give a more constant power delivery for each drive. Ya know how colder weather helps turbo cars to make better hp...the audi drops boost when this happens to keep power constant.
Noticed that my series 2 R33 GTST has a form of electronic boost control that runs from the factory ecu. I plan to fit a Apexi PFC and its boost controller. However will the Apexi PFC alone run the standard factory boost controller to a higher setting or is it necessary to remove the factory boost controller and replace with the Apexi equivalent.
255's on the back and 235's on front. These shouldnt contribute to it should they??? Still seem fine on the right side, its just the left??????? Will rotate tyres from left to right and see if it still occurs on the same side otherwise it might be wheel/ tyre related if it doesnt...... dont think this would be the case though.
Dont think so...... but i will check....would make sense if left side bushes have been flogged out.......what is the going rate for a new set of suspension bushes on an r33 if anyone knows?
The car is riding on the standard suspension, so it hasnt been lowered, i might see if running 0 deg of camber helps, the odd thing is it is only happening on the left side, the right is fine and the camber numbers are similar.
Had the wheel alignment when i got the tyres new...toe is +1.5mm for both sides on front and +1.6 for both sides on rear.. tyre pressure 32psi all round ....this sound about right ....thanks for reply
