  1. Ive got the same clutch and i am debating to rebuild it or not, It is an exedy made clutch and if you want to replace the clutch plates with new ones you are looking at about $1100. I still havent done anything to mine yet, mine still has got some life left in it so i might just clean it up and throw it in. I have heard that some people can custom make clutch plates to suit this clutch, not sure if that is true though. If you find out anything send me a PM.
  2. For autometer oil temp i drilled a hole into the sump and welded a threaded fitting to it. Screwed temp sender into fitting. To do this means you have to remove sump, obviously.
  3. I would like a copy of the 33 manual also, did anyone manage to upload the manuals to a website for everyone else to view/download?
  4. Yeah i was expecting that and more, turns out though that the plates arent as bad as i thought so i might just give the flywheel/intermediate plate/pressure plate a bit of a machine and slap it back together. A new thrust bearing and hopefully i will be allright.
  5. Thanks mate, i might just slap the old plates in it for now and just give the flywheel, intermediate plate and pressure plate a bit of a machine to clean it up. 0.9mm should do me ok for a while, that works out to about 60% left to go.
  6. Sorry i just realized that Steve SST has just said that the lining is 1.5mm new, that would mean that total thickness of the plate being 3.6mm would make more sense. Thanks
  7. Cool thanks guys, 3.6mm, is that the thickness of the plate or of the friction material on one side? If thats total thickness my plates are 3mm in thickness, good enough to put back in? 51jay, ive seen some of your previous posts and you had some trouble getting the right plates. Did you end up getting that sorted? Ive got the plates that are 215mm outer and 150mm inner diameter. The serial numbers on both of them are 3010c-rs045, that would be the nismo part number though hey? Are the top and bottom plates the same or are they different and thats why you have quoted two part numbers? Sorry about all the questions, any help appreciated though.
  8. I did a search but couldnt find much. Has anybody had one of these and can tell me anything about them. Ive got one and it needs a new set of friction plates in it, anyone know how much friction material is supposed to be on them from new??? just so i can gauge how worn they are? And if anyone has had this clutch rebuilt or had the friction plates replaced, how much did it cost and/or where did ya get the plates from. Thanks, any info appreciated.
  9. I definately need new clutch plates in mine, actually im not sure how much material there is supposed to be on them, they seem worn but. Thanks mate. Do you know if its possible to order new plates direct from Daiken/exedy, cant see why not.
  10. Did you get new clutch plates mate??? or just used your old ones???
  11. Bought a second hand twin plate clutch, Nismo Gmax (exedy). The material on the clutch plates are a bit worn so id like to give it a freshen up before putting it into my car. A new set of cluch plates and machine flywheel, intermediate plate and pressure plate would be cool. Just wanted to know if anybody has done this before and who they did it through. Adelaide Clutch Services is the only company i can think of at the moment. Comments anyone? Thanks
  12. Oh by the way my 33 is a series 2, they run push type clutches dont they?
  13. I have found a second hand clutch that is from a R32 GTR. It is a Nismo twin plate clutch that is of push style. I have heard this will fit into a R33 GTST. Can anyone confirm for me that this is true. Thanks.
  14. Is it a push type clutch or pull? If its a push im hoping it may fit into my 33gtst.
  15. Has anybody tried this type of clutch? I was looking at geting a twin plate but then stumbled onto an advertisement for one of these. Twin plates are fairly expensive and i was hoping to pick one up second hand, however i havent found one yet. I did a search but couldnt find anything on this particular clutch. Any comments?
  16. I got 76, one of my mates got 127, probably because hes such a huge boozer.
  17. Im also after a twin plate but for rb25det. So far im lookin at least the $1800 mark from greenline or nengun. Anybody know anyone else that can do better?
  18. 2500 lbs pp, is that the one that is 25% over standard or 50%.
  19. Has this clutch been sold, i assume so?
  20. Yep thats the one, yeah its not to shabby. Ive been preety lucky actually, havent been pulled over or even had a cop follow me ( touch wood). I suppose it will happen eventually like most people here.
  21. Nah dude, thats that black 33 hey, he gets around all the mobils. I work at the crappy caltex on bridge road ingle farm.
  22. Sorry to hear Cheeky. Try this. Person gets pulled over next to my servo that i work at. Police defects car for not having brake light. Wouldnt it make more sense just to make that person walk to my servo a full 15metres away, buy the stupid globe and fit it in front of them. Police officer drives off, person asks one of my staff to fix globe, took 5 minutes.
  23. My father was a die hard supporter of the ford falcon 351 GT. Owned and drove a few examples that where far from stock. Still loves them to this day. Took my skyline for a ride, and i mean a RIDE 200+ kmhr with me sitting in the passenger seat. He loved it, now he wants a gtr. Ive driven a VR SS, few mods, went hard, 185rwkw ( yes at the wheels i dont mean 185i HSV motor) could probably beat my skyline in a straight line, but get to a corner....cya later commodore!!!
  24. Mine is the same. Mine is the pfc boost control kit but still same solenoid. Still havent installed it yet.
