I used to have one, If it has the o2 sensor on the exhaust, NOT just the exhaust temp switch for the thermo fan run ulp only, usually these models will have a high mount turbo. If it does not have the o2 sensor then it is a leaded model but can still run ulp as all ET's had hardened valves, mine was the leaded model but i ran it on premium ulp for 5 years and no worries. The leaded models will have a low mount turbo. Mine had a ported and polished head, t25, stainless 2.5 inch exhuast, vl throttle body, vr 4 front mount chiller, hks bov, rising rate fuel reg, EL falcon fuel pump, pod filter and 15 psi boost, killed two gearboxes in its time.

Does anybody got any idea what is happening here?

Hey Series II GTST, what do you think of your clutch? Does it shudder much? Pedal feel? Sorry to divert from the topic at hand.

Im pretty keen on the twin plate from what you and other people have said, i drive my car everyday and dont want something that shudders or is on/off in operation. Did you get a lightened flywheel with it?

Can anyone confirm for me if the series 2 r33 gtst has a pull type clutch or a push type clutch. Steve, where did ya get your twin plate os giken from?

Fantastic, Know i know what turbo to get, i had my eye on the 2535 for some time but wasnt real sure. Ive already got power fc so shouldnt need to worry about that dip in power. Thanks series II GTST.

Saw black 33 in north adelaide today, licence plate NISMO 3 i think, nice chicky drivin it.

Okay, i did a search but came up a bit empty handed as what i found was mostly 044 related. I have noticed at the bottom of my 040 that it is flat with a screen. There is no provision to thread a barb fitting into so as to attach the original pick up. I have noticed that 044 have this provision, I havent removed the original pump from my car yet, i wanted to make sure i had it all figured before i attempted Should i just throw it in with what is provided or is there some way to attach original pick up that im not aware of? Any comments from those that have fitted 040? Any help appreciated.

Cant ya just hook the new pump up to the original wiring loom? I assume so. The relay would be to avoid this voltage drop/pump speed slowing down at idle krap?

I dont thinks its the same car, not sure now, pretty sure the one im thinking of had a gtr interchiller on the front.

ET turbos dont have bovs factory either.

Moo_r32, did that purple looking 32 have a gtr kit on it, if its the one im thinking of it used to belong to a mate of mine, supposed to be a 400hp car (so ive been told) I know its got gtr intercooler, exhaust, big turbo (dont know what but its heaps laggy) custom exhaust maniflod and external wastegate, had extra injectors and ran 18psi or something, i think it used to have bbs rims on it. did it have bb licence plates?

Just picked up a new Bosch 040 for $240. Just wanted to say thanks, if ya guys hadnt informed me i probably would have paid $460 for the 044. I could have got the 044 for $340 from the same guy if i wanted to but i think the 040 will be fine. Cheers.

Id rather a new pump. Just for reliability sake.

How hard do ya think truck turbos work when there workin to pull 40 to 60 odd ton up the Adelaide hills freeway.

Oh apparently xr6 manual boxes are as weak as water to.

Dads turbo diesel landcruiser has been towing 1600kg boat for years, nothin wrong with it and it loves it, hes running big front mount, 3 inch turbo back exhaust and 13psi boost. If ya ever see a red landcruiser with an autometer boost gauge on the a pillar thats my old mans. Turboed vehicles are usually the best towers as well as they make decent torque for pulling. Remember that it will be the an auto box that will fry first before a turbo. Manuals rock.

Does that mean you bought 2 044 for 400 each or your selling 2 044 for 400 each?
