Phillcom Rally Time Attack Round 1 2010 The Mitsubishi GSR/EVO Club Present Round 1 of the 3 part Phillcom Rally Time Attack Series 2010. The event will be held at Mallala Motor Sport Park on Public Holiday Monday 8th March 2010. The Phillcom Rally Time Attack Round 1 will be limited to ONLY 36 entries, positions will fill fast. Competition will be based on timed hot laps with ample opportunities to attain a personal best. The sprint will possess dynamic levels of competition with the introduction of Modification Classes and DOT Tyre Restrictions. Local Tuner Houses will again battle it out for workshop honours and the outright round win! Trophies for ALL Classes, privateers are welcome and catered for. This event is sure to please both competitors and spectators with the best drivers and workshop machines providing non-stop action! AUTOSPORT ALL WHEEL DRIVE TURBO CHALLENGE 2010! The Mitsubishi GSR/EVO Club introduces a whole new motorsport challenge for AWD turbo charged owners! Taking the demand for Circuit and Hillclimb’s to the next level, this year’s challenge embraces the best events SA has to offer! With a larger variety of competition classes and events, compiled with the ability to drop any 2 of the 9 rounds – The 2010 Autosport AWD Turbo Challenge will cater for all competitor skill, experience and modification levels! This annual series is open to any AWD turbo charged vehicle. The 2010 Autosport AWD Turbo Challenge will be held over 9 rounds, BEST 7 rounds will be counted: R1 - March 8th: Phillcom Rally Time Attack Round 1 at Mallala R2 - April 10th/11th: ASP Mt Alma Hillclimb at Mt Alma R3 - June 13th: AWDTC Go-Kart Grand Prix at Gepps Cross R4 - July 25th: Phillcom Rally Time Attack Round 2 at Mallala R5 - August 29th: Multiclub Hillclimb at Collingrove R6 - September 25th/26th: SA Hillclimb Championships at Collingrove R7 - October 4th: Phillcom Rally Time Attack Round 3 at Mallala R8 - October 16th/17th: Australian Hillclimb Championships at Collingrove R9 - November 5th/7th: Pirtek Legend of the Lakes Hillclimb at Mt Gambier Points will be awarded on finishing positions at these events (1st 20 points, 2nd 17 points, 3rd 15 points, 4th 14 points, etc). Congratulations to Douglas Lehmann (Open Modified) and Michael Willis (Club Cars) for winning the AWD Turbo Challenge Round 6 - Peter Lehmann SA Hillclimb Championships. The final AWD Turbo Challenge round is less than three weeks away, and the series end WILL come down to the final run at the Pirtek Legend of the Lakes Hillclimb Mt Gambier!

Congratulations to Steve Knight (Open Modified) and Corey Armstrong (Club Cars) for winning the AWD Turbo Challenge Round 5 - Phillcom Rally Time Attack Round 2. Both drivers recording personal bests in near perfect conditions. Two rounds remaining in this years AWD Turbo Challenge, and the top 9 drivers in Open Modified Class are separated by only 5 points! What a ripper way to lead into the SA Hillclimb Championships Collingrove and Pirtek Legend of the Lakes Hillclimb Mt Gambier!

Mind you John, you had the A/C and tunes beating in the R35 when returning to the timing shed!

The SCCSA Wintercup 2 Collingrove Hillclimb was again damp early with near perfect conditions for the afternoon runs. Great to see so many competitors recording personal bests! The leader board is starting to look a little more interesting with only 3 rounds to go!
