I must say that HP 12y.o also happens to be one of the smokiest out there and some dont like it but its probably the best one in its class by a looooooooooooooooooooooooooongggg way!

An entry level Scotch that does not cost you an arm or leg (but still dear) is Highland Park 12y.o. whisky cost approx $65 from DM.
