I got all the side bits that you need but my GTR came carpetless for the bottom. If this helps you are more than welcome to come around and borrow the stuff! I got through compliance without any hassles and the place that i paid to comply my car did an absolutly terrible job!

HAHA, Thanks for the tip. Isn't it funny, different day different service. I had a below par experience with them in the past... Maybe i caught the guy on a bad day. Thanks for the reply

Howdy Good SAU folk, I have a bit of a leak on my number 5 injector in my R33 GTR. As i am going to be pulling the injectors out to fit new seals i figure i would be well served to get them cleaned and flow tested at the same time. Can anyone recommend a good injector cleaning place? I am happy to go NOR, SOR or i hear that there are some pretty decent mobile ones now. Any advice would be great. Thanks for taking the time to read. PS, I have done a search and could find nothing that had the info that i wanted that was recent. If i have missed something feel free to unleash the flame!

Thanks Mick and Ferni, I appreciate your help and advice. I will definitely consider the series 2 and 3 airbag wheels as soon as i establish what it is i need to make the airbag work again! I am going to be pulling the dash apart next weekend to try and get the light working so i can run the diagnostics. If that fails i will certainly be hooking the car up to consult! Thanks again for taking the time to post! Have great Aus Days

Anyone? Any help at all? Even just where i can look to find further info? Please... Not to sound needy but i really don't want to get a yellow sticker over this!

Hi All, I recently imported an R33 GTR V-Spec (1995.) I was aware when i purchased the car from the broker that it had the standard airbag wheel replaced with an aftermarket Nismo one. During compliance it was all good, borrowed a wheel and got over the pits fine. But now i have to return the airbag wheel and go back to the nismo one. This raises a couple of issues for me: a) It is a yellow if and when the police pull me over for my "routine licence check" -and - b) My wife drives the car so i would prefer it to be safe. This means that i want to convert BACK to an airbag wheel. I have done heaps of searches but have found no firm answers on this topic. Does anybody know if you can put any other car's airbag wheel on? For example i like S15 steering wheels a whole lot more than R33 GTR stock steering wheels or even R34 steering wheels, so i would love to know if they can be substituted? Any steering wheel that has an airbag and is going to work on a 33 GTR would be worth knowing about. Does anyone know if the airbag warning light has to work to do the airbag computer check that i found in another thread? I think mine may have been disconnected as it has never worked (as in light up, even when it had the airbag wheel on.) I would like to run a diagnostic on it before i buy a new steering wheel just incase the car has been in a bingle and the sensor needs to be replaced too. This is an excerpt from the thread that i am referring to: THIS IS HOW TO RESET THE AIRBAG COMPUTER First you have to put the system into the diagnostic mode. Here's how to do this: From User Mode To Diagnosis Mode: Diagnosis Mode activates only when a malfunction is detected, by pressing the driver's door switch at least 5 times within 7 seconds after turning the ignition "ON". SRS will not enter Diagnosis Mode if no malfunction is detected. From Diagnosis Mode to User Mode: After a malfunction is repaired, switch the ignition "OFF" for at least 1 second , then back "ON". Diagnosis Mode returns to User Mode. If switching Diagnosis Mode to User Mode is required while malfunction is being detected, switch the ignition "OFF", then back "ON" and press the driver's door switch at least 5 times within 7 seconds. After a malfunction is repaired, return to User Mode from Diagnosis Mode by switching the ignition "OFF" for at least 1 second, then back "ON". At that time, the problem code is cleared Any help or advice will be gratefully accepted PS sorry if there is a thread that covers this, i searched heaps of times but was unabelt o find one!!!

I just had a 33 GTR complianced and they left the seatbelts that were in it in Japan. It passed the pits like that too. I have doubts that compliance was done properly though so i would love to hear from people in the know what should be done.

Stock R33 Gtr Suspension Needed Borrow/rent/buy (4 Compliance)
wannabe replied to wannabe's topic in Western Australia
That is a very good question Trent. There are far better qualified people on the forums to answer that question for you. I would suggest that you start a thread about it, though to avoid a big flaming do a little research first. the most important thing is for you to know what you want from the suspension... Do you want it to just be low, or do you want to add to the handling also? What is your budget? -
Stock R33 Gtr Suspension Needed Borrow/rent/buy (4 Compliance)
wannabe replied to wannabe's topic in Western Australia
Thanks Trent, You are a champ. There is no way that i could borrow without the exchange of at least some booze, as i believe is the tradition for helping others on SAU. Just for my info approx when weer you lookin at getting your new suspension? What are you getting? -

Howdy All I am just in the process of importing a 1995 GTR V-Spec. I have already sorted out Autoworx to do the compliance for me... But they just told me that i will need to source some stock GTR suspension. Is there anyone out there in the vast SAU community that can help me out and lend/rent me some stock suspension so that i can get my car complied? I would consider purchasing though i would prefer not to go down that road just yet! Thanks for your time!!! Tim

Manual Gearbox Conversion R33 - Cheap
wannabe replied to r33nismo's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey r33nismo, Sent you a PM... Did you get it? Cheers, Tim -
Hey i seen that dark blue R34. Nice clean looking one, lowered on euro looking 19's? Nice! I am thinking V35 or Audi, just like everyone has said is down to the test drive. See a dealer thrown them into some corners and you will know what you want. Have you ever considered a GTI Golf, you can get a pretty new example for about the same price range. Jeremy Clarkson speaks highly of them too. Not bad props from a man that owns a new school GT50. Spend some time in the cars and your driving instinct will let you know what it is you want, they all have serious merit so no pick will let you down.

Thanks for the offer!!! Wish that i could solve both our problems and get your rims, the look pretty sweet. But i given that i am searching for old commodore bits they will not fit. Best of luck with the sale though dude!

Hey All, Got a friend who has been in a very unfortunate position of late. To cheer him up i have done (with No_respct's help) some mild pimping of his ride. Unfortunately despite my best efforts he is in love with his commodore, so that is the canvas on which i have been working. Despite his love for all things GMH he is a great guy! I am looking for some 18 inch rims and tires with a budget of 1000-1200 for him. I was wondering if anybody had any idea about where i could try other than usuals such as Bob Jane, the quokka, trading post etc. Anyone know someone who can hook me up for a good cause? Thanks for your consideration!

I think that Frank Williams and his team will have considered in depth all the pros and cons on this deal and i can not see Frank making a decision that will compromise his teams long term future. Also the Cosworth engine seems to be a good one and we hear that it is but how do we know? Yes there have been some good results but there is only a 50% finishing rate for GP's this year. Granted a majority of them have been more likely to be williams faults rather than cosworth, but what is to say that williams are pushing really hard to get that few tenths extra that the engine is lacking. In truth we just do not know, so i guess at this stage we will have to trust that williams did the right thing. Besides with the engine development freeze coming i reckon toyota are going to be some serious development!!! Well i hope anyway!

If I Ever Wanted A 300z, This Would Be It
wannabe replied to lingeringsoul's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I owned a series 2 R33, swapped it for a 300zx with a few mods. I have regretted it every day since. The car costs heaps every time something minor goes wrong (which is monthly) the engine bay is so cramped that i tore 75% of my hands off changing radiator hoses and no matter how much car i take with it something new goes wrong. I suggest to those who are considering a zed, mkae sure you have PLENTY of patience!!! But to stay on topic with this thread that white zed did look quite tidy.
