I am gonna get the cat replaced as soon as i get some more $$$ The boost does not seems to be leaking as that was one of the components measured on the dyno (Dyno Dynamics in Shootout MOde) Again bleed valve will be replaced when $$$ allows. I will look into the fuel pressure reg and fuel pump for sure. Thanks for the advice and keep it coming

Hi All, I have just had a PFC installed in my Skyline and I was a little disappointed with the final power output. The PFC was tuned by a reputable and well regarded tuner and by all accounts I am happy with the job that was done by him. My disappointment stems from the fact that my car is now running less power with a PFC, front mount and cold air induction and 9 pounds of boost then it just had an SAFC and standard boost. The current mods are: Apexi PFC + H/C Trust Front mount intercooler Turbo back exhaust with standard cat Pod filter CAI + Cold air box Bleed valve set at 9 PSI Dyno run was recorded at: 227 RWHP (I would like to note that the power curve is fairly fat) I would love to post the graph but I have no access to a scanner or digital camera at the moment. Sorry Obviously adding a Z32 or better AFM and dropping the cat will add a fair bit but I still reckon that my power output is a little low for the mods I have. My questions are: Does anyone else out there have similar mods? If so what numbers are you putting down? Can anyone think of any issues that my car may have that would be retarding the performance? Mechanically the car seems a little bit iffy at times. There is a noise coming from the fuel rail that sounds a lot like ticking. This noise has gotten progressively louder over the last few days. I have recently had the injectors flow tested and they are all fine. O2 Sensor is fine. Further strange engine noise is there is air escaping from the PCV valve on top if the rocker cover. Any problems or suggestion about that? There is no knock as such being detected, the injectors reach 70 or so % duty cycle But the car is consitently looking like it is 30HP short of its proposed power figure. Anyone got any ideas…I know there is a difference with the s1 and s2 AFM’s so would also like feedback from someone with a S2 with similar mods. Any ideas there as I suspect something to do with fuelling and AFM maxing out causing problems. Any help, feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this stage as I really want to get the car running well. Thanks for any replies, Tim

I would prefer to sell them as a package BUT seeing as vendetta just wanted the controller i am sure that we could work out a deal. That said i have a couple of folks interested in purchasing the 2 together so i guess it depends really what you are willing to pay and whether or not vendetta is still interested.

Hey All, I have been reading heaps of threads about chnaging the gearbox oil in an R33 Skyline. Some posts say it requires just under 4 litres and other posts specify that it requires 2.8litres. It seems like a fairly large discrepancy to me. Can anyone shed some light on what the correct amount of oil for the gearbox is for me? Thanks

Yes as far as the info that i have received is you can 100% run the PFC without the Handcontrol BUT you can't tune it yourself you need it to be done by those with the proper equipment. Saying that: Not to many people actually have the ability to tune it themselves! Essentially the hand controller is a luxury it does not in any way really add to the PFCother than to give real time engine data for your viewing pleasure!!!

Well the way i look at it the two a pretty even based on strengths and weaknesses BUT given that there a crap load of p platers with Lancer R/evolutions, and you could be easily confuse a dumb person into thinking that you just had one of the standard lancers with too much kit. Based on the high occurence of such idiots i i would go for the GTR. PLUS it is a GTR

Last night (Tuesday 10/02) at about 7:30 i was driving in my g/f's car with her on the way out for dinner. Heading west on Scarbs bch Rd, we were in Osborne Park when stopped at lights an r33 GTST, wine red, stock wheels stock exhaust etc pulled up next to me. They wound down there extremely dark tinted windows (the only mod to the car i could see) 3 guys yelled some obscenities at my GF and chopped me from the lights. Now given that i was driving an excel (please no flaming my Line is not well) chopping me was not an effort. They continued with the shouting of lewd suggestions to my Gf and chopping the shite out of me at every lights until i got sick of it and turned off the road. So my point is i am calling you out. Anytime you wanna go down to the motorplex and do a 1/4 mile i am more than happy to represent. The way i figure it is any old MOFO can chop an excel but if you wanna earn my respect you have to give me a run at the motorplex and then apologise to my girlfriend. Besides us inport owners have enough of a bad rep with cops, insurance companies and trevs without one of us acting like absolute M*****F*****s on the road! So come on own up, you were man enough in front of your mates to chop me in an excel. Will you be man enough to do it on even terms? ITS ON!

Just a thought, if you have a clogged up fuel system your car could be running sluggish because your ECU has detected knock and has retarded your timing. Not being a mechanic i am not telling you this is the case just a suggestion. I know when i had knocking/pinging issue in my R33 the timing was so retarded when i took it to the Dyno i had lost 40 rear wheel horsepower.
