Haha its def worth it... In total I reckon I would of spent about 2 hours doing it (Not including the waiting around time)... Def worth the saving of $300+ We stopped by my mums house today on the way to see Transformers 3 (Friggen awesome) and on the way out, my misses was at the door already so I thought I'd quickly take a snap shot on my phone before letting her in This is the first good photo I've been able to take since putting the front lip on. -
Paint Matching Then Put Into A Spray Can?

My mate has a custom green and he gets it done at autobarn. They do colour match and of course mix up factory paints as well. -

Hope it really is clean now I'll get to see it in the sun soon. Anyways, hopefully get some close up pics of the joints in a few hours. -

A few auto shops do the cans, but autobarn does a pretty damn good job. -

Okay, I couldn't help myself. Everytime I walked into the kitchen I saw the lip sitting there... whispering in my ear to be installed and wow'd apon - So I listened and installed Pretty happy with a can job - And pretty damn happy with DMDs product. Took a couple of photos of it. The colours are really weird, for example the white 'glow' under the car is really just a shadow... and the car doesn't look as clean as it really is -

Haha, sorry! Have you got one Clint? I've been looking around for a couple of weeks now it took me a while to get my hands on it. It's an aftermarket fiberglass model - It's quite light and flexible. Really happy with it - It's much better quality and better fitting than my old aftermarket trial front for my R33 which was from a random seller. Will recommend DMD (Slacks Creek - 2 turns from Moss Street). Looks fairly good and didn't need much sanding done at all. I would of spent probably no more than an hour priming + sanding. -
Hey guys Finally picked up the front lip I want (Yes, same as yours Charles) - Car mate has them for 280+shipping so called around. Got one from DMD which fit (Well pre-fitted) really well for $150 brand new. Primed it yesterday. Sanded it really early this morning. Sprayed my colour coats on about 30 minutes later then sprayed the clear coat on about 5 hours after that - Just finished up and put it in the kitchen under the fan to hopefully speed things up. It's pretty shinny at the moment as the last coat is only about 1 hour old. Looks like the camera picked up a few specks of dust which I can't actually see with plain sight :| but at least you get the idea... autobarn did the paint up pretty well. They recommended I use a can rather than my air gun so I did and I am glad I listened to their advice. Got away with only 400ml of paint (5 good coats). When I did my bumper on my 33 with the airgun, I ripped through quite a bit of paint and quickly.

Hey Clint Haven't heard from you in some time, are you still after tinting? I've received quite a few quotes around the $300 mark each, but I did receive this quote this morning. It isn't as cheap as show off ya tints ($200 each if we go in together), but this mob here is $210 each. They attached a photo of an M3 they did and the tinting looks REALLLLLLY nice... Hi Richie, We won't be any cheaper than that quote. Where are you located? Sounds like we may be a bit of a distance from you as he is located in the Logan area from memory. We are located at Eagle Farm - at the BMW pre-delivery location. If that is too far for you the owner sometimes works from Waterford on weekends for people he knows personally - by the type of car you have I assume you have been referred to us? In regards to the type of film - he would use a Carbon based film - the same film he puts on all the new BMW's. This film has no metal layers so it won't interfere with any GPS, mobile phone or radio signals. It also contains no dye so it will never fade. Your Lifetime warranty is Australia Wide and is warranted against everything including fading, peeling, cracking. crazing, bubbling. I've attached a photo of a vehicle tinted in this film. Price to do 2 R34's in this film is $420 if you have them done on the same day or price to do one is $230. If there is any film on the car already that will need to be removed and an extra cost applied.

Bloody hell charles, how do you always manage to score the good deals! I'm still trying to find the same lip as yours... Called up over 3 hundred million places - Only carmate seem to have them and I ain't paying $550 ($350 item+ship + $200 paint+install) for a front lip... May as well get a whole new front bar.

Still looking for front lip and even side skirts, Cheers guys

Also remember, photoshop is great for colour contrast and gradients. Use the gradient tool to create nice dark edges and mask them into the focal point. There is also a popular 'photo filter' in the adjustment layers to give off a nice colour tone over the photo. If you are quick and handy with the eraser tool, you can also duplicate your layer and cut out your focal point and give your background a nice gaussian blur. Most importantly, you can easily remove imperfections in seconds or create whole new backgrounds with your clone tools. If anyone gets really into it, and is stuck on the photoshop level, I am happy to help, just send me a pm (I spend about 5+ hrs a day on photoshop for the past 6 or so years /cries... work - www.mezmamedia.com) -
There is a silver 32 in my street at Doolandella - Anyone on here?
-
If we go in together its $400 for both. He has also said, if by any chance we do get a cheaper quote, he will see if he can match and beat it. My 34 has an in-glass tint. It's very light. I'm assuming this is what you have
-
Hey Clint, Just got this reply via email "Not a worry mate, if both cars are done at the same time, you will be looking at $400 for both.. Providing no existing film has to be stripped" This is from "Show off ya tints".

Hey guys Looking to buy a front lip for my 34 GT-T S1 Front bar. This is the photo of the front of my car. http://mezmamedia.com/richie/photos/skyline_r34/skyline_r34_1.jpg Looking for a lip to go with it - Not looking for something that would make it too low. I'm tempted to buy this http://carmate.com/product_details.php?productid=NSGTT99GTRFL but its bloody expensive after its painted + installed - May as well buy a whole new front bar hehe Cheers guys, Richie 0421 185 272

Hey Clint Does your windows already have the very light tinting inside the glass? Mine does, so I assumed yours does as well. So far the best I have got is $220... Still checking around though.
