Pics? Although asking here is the wrong place because these guys ain't going to fix it... Ask the person/business who is going to fix it. Take a pic and bring it in and ask 'approx'... They don't usually give def quotes/prices without seeing it in person. Remember, never just ask 1 panel beater... ask a couple of body works people. I originally had a TRIAL front bar on my 33gts, left my car about 85mm off the ground when I wasnt in there. (I weigh 70kg and car has standard springs) My mate modified it, did an awsome job. Took off everything below the middle holes in the kit. My car doesn't look as mean lol, I want to buy another front spoiler. My driveway is a gutter... so grats Algester. It cant be to low. I'm looking at 400R Veilside Top Secret or try again with my Trial front... I just want a meaner looking car again! :'( /sad original after my mate got to it

Just a little FYI, I had a rattle in my car... Everyone thought it was from the drivers air vent but it turns out it was a piece of plastic on the outside which echoed through to the vents (6/6 people all agreed it was coming from the right vent). What I'm saying is, the sound came from something completely different to what everyone thought... So check around!

LOL... just imagining some guy walking into someones yard and punching it right in the face =\ I love the guys that sit around maccas and the local stores and shit talking out loud... ah yeh... its manual. My last car was auto, so I understand that it would put it in the best gear for no accel... but even if I have mine in 5th gear, I feel it drop massivly. What revs are you at 100km? I sit on about 3k off the top of my head... I swear my old commo was at about 1.5 (I didnt have a rev metre/tacho)

reving = more volts/amps ... so maybe your battery is simply old or flat

I had no idea any of this was happening with the basics of selling a car. When I got my first car, me and my brother went along to meet the seller at a park. I now know why the seller braught a friend along also. heh When I baught my second car (my skyline), the seller was actually quite precocious of me the first time we met... I was reading someone elses post about exhausts... Just makes me wonder... Is mine the right size I'm not to cluey about mechanics, but I do understand how pressure works with the exhaust. I got my exhaust done at Right Price exhausts at slacks creek. I went in and wanted my original exhaust replaced becuase of the non-turbo exhaust clangy mentaic rattle sound. I said I wanted a quite sports exhaust... only just loud enough to notice its a sports exhaust (sorry guys, I like the low rumble hehe) I drove out with a blasting exhaust which broke my ears. Took it back and they said they replaced the front muffler only and it sounds niicceee as now... perfect... Quite rumble. Anyways, what I'm actaully asking is, what should the exhaust feel like. If I'm driving at about 3000 revs and take my foot off the accel, the car drops in speed quickly and the exhaust becomes even louder than when I am accelerating (sounds cool hehe). When on the highway in 5th gear, take the foot off the accel, again drops quickly. It feels like my exhaust is to small or something. My old commodore would just roll if I took my foot off the pedal on the highway so it just feels different. My receipt says: Muffler Sports 2 1/4" O/C Baffled 14" Stainless Tip Twin 2 1/2" S/Cut R/In Exhaust Tube 2 1/4" That was when it was really loud.. I returned the car and they said "we have now also replaced the front muffler" with a holden Hq-Hz (Dual) is all it says. How does all your exhausts feel when you take the foot your accel?

ah... got rid of the rattle... The rattle came from outside the car. Took off the black casing that is below the windscreen wipers... There is a glued strip of rubberish plastic that goes between that casing and the window. The last 4-5 inches (the drivers side) was not glued on properly... reglued and rattle completely gone. Can't beleive it was that becuase everyone agrees the sound came from the inside vent near the steering wheel. hah Cheers for everyones help! Much appreciated!

yah thats the idea... I'm ready to use it... when I can find it! But I can't see everything that could possibly be making that noise. Thats why I am asking for the pic I saw some pics on a DIY dash removal on the sau forums, but I couldn't see that area of the dash very well. Looks like nothing but a vent is in that area anyway :S

Also, is it possible to remove the dash without removing the steering wheel?

I would really appreciate it if anyone could get me a photo of that area I showed... preferably taken from the top if possible... I think the rattle is coming more from the back of the dash now... if I had a photo I think I would be able to pick what it is. cheers

I took off the facia and played around in there... I thought I found it (The corner of the plastic odometre) and glued that down... Not the rattle... god I really hate rattles now lol. Looks like Id have to take the dash off... I really don't want to do that if possible. Does anyone have any pictures of the right hand side without the dash and facia... I would really appreciate that. Here is where the rattle sound is... (Bumping the dash and wheel etc... dont cause the sound to appear... you need to be driving over very small bumps/vibrations)

When from a 89 commo to my 95 r33... I love my car... Every little little mistake it has... I fix it, or get it fixed... My car currently has a rattle that sounds like a loose screw on the inside and on the way home tonight I was thinking... "Jeezee my car is old". Then reading everyones replies here makes me want to go out there and find this damn rattle hehe... Our cars are old... but I tell you, EVERYONE thinks its a brand new car :|
