Great photos as usual man! When I look at some of those 80's looking photos, I can just sit here and look at them for hours. The vibrant photos, even though they are amazing, I find myself flicking through them quicker. I do keep both copies though (standard and 80s) so it is available for whomever to select from. But I do find myself just sitting there staring on end - I'm sure you know what I mean here. On a different note, I've been asked to shoot some weddings and photos here and there, and starting to gain interest from people I don't know. I enjoy photography more than IT to be honest, so I thought, why not make a website to help transition? http://www.richardgrainger.com.au/ - I've been building this website from the ground up, completely from scratch. Still a few things here and there needed to be done, but I thought I'd share it with you guys before anyone else Only closest family/friends have seen this website so far.

Great start mate. Welcome to the manual world. The last photo is as is, but the other two of my wife had a new action I'm trying to create for a cross between modern and 80s look.
-
Haha, she is my wife. Been playing around with the 80s look so taking a few random photos to test it on. When I said "crystal clear", I ment- those photos from the point and shoot is amazing in quality. Tops man, love that photo. Another 80s attempt... They are all using different methods to get the results... trying to find one I am completely happy with... I look at them and think they look good, then seconds later absolutely hate it and vice versa.

Wow, your sony is crystal clear.

Hi Guys I have a standard rear bumper for sale for an R34 GTT here in Brisbane in BP9 dark metallic blue. This is the photo while it was on the car. Someone purchased my skyline a few weeks ago, walked into my shed this morning and realised I still had the stock bumper. The bumper doesn't have the metal 'holders' along the top - It's just the bumper. Brisbane Southside pick-up only. 150ono.

That photo with the cement background would be a perfect experiential photo for me sidd! I've gone and stolen it from you and tried to add that film effect again. It's getting better but still a ways off what I am trying to achieve. I'll have to leave it at this for a week or so until I get some more spare time to waste again... Slight adjustment of curves, photo filter, brightness/contrast, exposure (for gamma) and Huge/saturation
-
I agree with you, but I am still looking for that 80s/film kind of look. I haven't got it right in that photo of course... which was a first time attempt of about 10 minutes, but I am hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction. Love the two portrait shots man...
-
nice shots guys I've been wanting to work on a film/80s style look for my photos. I spent a good 10 minutes playing around and come up with this Normal photo Film photo If you guys have some good processes and don't mind sharing, would love to know how you guys go about it. I'll spend some proper time on it hopefully Monday to try and get something a bit better. Happy to share my settings to those who are interested

Hey Guys Looking for someone to do a blend on my front bumper. Looking for proper job, not bodgey "for a carton" job... Area needed to be blended The dealer had organised to get a small dent sorted in the very corner of the bumper. Hes fixed the dent, but his paint job was shocking. I've complained to them and the guy they paid to do it, thought it was a good enough job and won't redo it. The clear he used is a shocker and the 'affected area' of the bar looks like there is no/horrid clear coat. I'm located in Brisbane -> Forest Lake

Wow matt, that is one of my favourite shots from you - the car looks really 'real' and the lighting is amazing. I didn't mean 'on the brighter note' for the child haha. I'm estatic abou it. I can't wait! I meant, on the brighter note of selling the skyline... sorry for the confusion
-
Sold the skyline guys Having a baby soon! On the brighter side, I got to pick out a BM... so gave her the first polish+wax... Turned out pretty nicely.. so played a round with it a bit and have something a little unusual. I have the original, but really liked how the background turned out.

Advice Need - Buyer Isn't In Brisbane But His Family Is
wilorichie replied to wilorichie's topic in Queensland
Hm, the power of attorney form looks surprisingly simple but he needs to be at the same location as whomever takes the power. I know he could also state "Power to help process registration of car to my name" so all that person can do is specifically that task on behalf of that person. Problem with that is, that he will need to be at the same location as the new attorney as signatures are required from everyone... not looking good -
Advice Need - Buyer Isn't In Brisbane But His Family Is
wilorichie replied to wilorichie's topic in Queensland
Thanks very much for your input mate! He is 22. It does say that a family member can register the car, but it needs his signature on the same papers. That is why I have left it at step 4 To my understanding, the car is officially his once the receipt is signed. But the registration is still under my name. That said, to the QLD Government, I THINK, registration and ownership should not be the same. So I want him to "OWN" the car before he gets here in 3 weeks. Then, when he arrives, I'll happily sign the papers for registration. I am hoping this can be done... I really appreciate your input. -
Hey Guys Firstly, this isn't about a dodgey buyer or anything. Money isn't the problem (Sorted already)! A nice young fellow (Like myself! ) has just purchased my car from interstate. He arrives in Brisbane on the 3rd of March (to live here) but currently has family living here. After reading the transfer of registration papers, it doesn't seem to out of the way to have his family come and pick-up the car rather than me waiting 3 weeks. He said he doesn't mind either way. But I would much prefer for things to move along a bit faster because we need to sort out our new car as well. This is what I have planned in my head. 1. Receive a signed document from him stating he wants XXXXX to pick-up the car on his behalf and store it at their own choice of location. At which that point the car is no longer my responsibility or under my ownership. 2. Make the receipt for the buyer stating the usual details about the car being sold. State that the car is being pick-up by XXXX (above) person on behalf of the buyer. Usual details.. car/date/time etc.. 3. XXXX comes and picks up the car. Stores it at their own home for the buyer. 4. Once the buyer arrives in Brisbane, have him meet-up with me again to sign the registration papers. The buyer can then change official ownership of the rego. Number 4 is the part that is worrying me. How long does the buyer have to change registration to his own name once the car is sold to him? I'm not so much worried about them taking a fine under my name etc... as I will have a signed receipt stating they purchased the car on this date @ this time. OR I have the above steps completely wrong and someone is willing to enlighten me ! I'll call up Dept. of Transport on Monday if no one is able to help... but being able to get organised during the weekend would be a big plus for me. Thanks so much for your help guys, Richie

1997 Nissan Skyline Ecr33 Series 2 Gts-T M Spec
wilorichie replied to crater's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Carsales man... I'm not much of a fan of that one. I just took a deposit for my 34. Found from Boost cruising website. I also had 2 more phone calls asking to check it out since I've taken the deposit. Both where from boost cruising. SAU and Boost Cruising get far more hits than carsales. In the past week my car has been for sale. SAU has had about 500 hits on my advertisement and Boost Cruising around 170. Carsales: 30 If you want to reach every possible audience then sure... but after this experience... wow... what a waste of $60 I think it is (Cant remember how much it is now, but I purchased the standard ad). -

I've taken a deposit for the car... They are flying in to pick it up on the 3rd of March.. That gives me 3 weeks with my car At that point I'll know 100% if the car is sold. The deposit is very solid though so looks like my girl is gone... :( :( -

From the few phone calls I've had, the same question is always asked: Can I see more photos of the interior? I've gone out last night and taken some more photos. I've taken some close up's of the steering wheel so you can see the original wheel and the quality of it. Sorry, I don't get to drive my car much so the interior is a tad dusty at the moment... -
Just picked up that your signature contains errors
