  4. iNTERESTING....Its a JVC Chameleon(?) deck, Had the same set up in my pajerio with no dramas, but in the line its another story. I Thought it may be the deck but then why doesnt it do it to the front speakers wired through the kenwood amp?
  5. This one has me scratching my head. When I turn the car off when the volume is up a bit the subs make a loud boom or pop noise. I thought at first it may have been a poor earth to the amp, but after reading the forums I have it earthed to the same point everyone seems to suggests (using the same point as the battery is earthed) If the volume is turned to minimum then it doesnt do it and if i turn the deck itself off it doesnt do it either, only when the ignition is turned off with the volume up. The amp is an Alpine 1507, could this cause the problem? Front speakers which run off a kenwood amp dont do it which make me think its not the deck. Any help any one?
  6. Was that car down the bay yesterday (sunday) looks great with those wheels!!
  7. Try a place called Hindmarsh performance, He has done a fair amount of work on my cars and only charges me $35 per hour. When i worked at channel 9 he use to service all the cars there too. His number is 82444344.
  8. Had the same problem, had the car at the mechanics for a week while he stood there and scratched his head, ended up fixing the problem though, One dodgy coil pack to blame! All running sweet now.
  9. Well........Not Happy! Was leaving work Thursday, bags packed to spend the weekend at port and on the way home the clutch started to slip. Took it to the mechanic first thing Friday morning and he said I would be mad to drive that far with the clutch as bad as it was. Spent the rest of the day shopping for prices for a new one and ended up with a ceramic heavy duty one for $580. Was happy about that and got a quote for $270 to have it put in and fly wheel machined. In a couple of weeks will be looking at TRYING to head up that way again!
  10. I got the day off work this Friday and heading up then. Looking at heading back Sunday.

  16. So that I have it straight, Iwill get better performance and economy from doing dump pipe etc than to fit the e-manage or s-afc?
  17. Was originally shopping for the s-afc but after reading this you have changed my mind. what kind of power increase would ther be after installing the e-manage and would it improve fuel economy. Only have cat back exhaust, pod filter and bov.Would i increase power more by doing the front pipe first?
