  1. I somehow dont think all will be ok paul The exhaust wheel had to be machined down, surely that is going to make a considerable effect on the turbo.
  2. I'm not naming names till everything is sorted out and I'm happy with the results.
  3. Yep paul... so grant says. It should be all assembled and balanced tomorrow so I'll be down there taking some photo's pre install.
  4. How do you know what shop I am talking about zanda?
  5. Paul, I covered my ass as far as I'm concerned. I think the "shop" should cough up the money to repair it to the original state or at least put me into contact with this "mate" or they can liase with him.
  6. zanda it was sold by a "shop" on behalf of one of their "mates" who was going to bolt it onto his rb20 but realised it was too big for his engine. Its a trust td06-20g
  7. Also paul when its on I'll need you to be at the dyno that night cos I'll need you to show me how to tune the blitz sbc please?
  8. I did get it checked. I bought it on saturday, took it to the SST dyno day where steve had a quick look and checked for shaft play said it seemed tight and fine. Told him to give it to grant on monday to check, grant did the same told me it was fine. Gave it back to steve to hang on to it for me while I waited a few weeks for funds. Told grant last thursday to start prepping it for the external wastegate which is when he pulled off the exhaust housing to find the exhaust wheel. I had told the "shop" I'd bring it back on monday for my money if it wasnt right.
  9. Well if its a lag monster its gonna need a new exhaust wheel, that'll be expensive.
  10. I would have bought new, but that the price it was going it was a good deal. maybe thats why it was going for that price, the guy selling it knew what happened and was trying to offload it cheap.
  11. I'm considering talking to the ACCC about the matter anyway. Depends on the outcome.
  12. Thing is though its not hard to pop off the exhaust/compressor housing and have a look at the wheels. Dont you think it would have made sense to do that before promoting it in your shop?
  13. No it wasnt obvious from the outside, but I'm still pissed.
  14. HP's for the last year or so have 2 partitions, the 2nd one has a backup of the system software. ie: it runs a recovery that basically ghosts the 2nd partition over the first, basically reloading windows/drivers etc
  15. It wont perform as it should do anyway... it will be slightly laggy now... I'm just hoping it makes full boost by 4000rpm... if it doesnt I'm gonna be mightly pissed.
  16. You've seen what happened to it, paul? Personally I'm pretty pissed with certain people and a company right now.
  17. I really cant talk about it much zanda... until the full outcome works out. Grants done a bit of work to it that might sort it all out, but we wont know till it goes on the car.
  18. *sigh* wish I bought a new turbo DONT BUY 2ND HAND TURBO'S! unless you know they are fine.
  19. Evening
  20. Had 1 quote so far to put a metal plate in where the lock was and touch up the paint $350... grrr, try a couple of other places, but these guys did my side skirts (plus he's rev210's brother) and the workmanship is high quality. SO some ****nut with nothing better to do has cost me $350 in the matter of a few minutes, wish I could make that sort of money in a few minutes.
  21. if you put a bigger turbo onto a gtst and a full turbo back exhaust, fitted up a bleed valve, I'm sure you'd run deep into the 13's. You could do a few runs at the plex without needing a bigger intercooler straight away I reckon.
  22. I want to go diving with the great whites in SA, in a cage of course. Always wanted to be a marine biologist
  23. Hey liz
  24. hmmm... back to werk tomorrow I think, still got a crappy voice.
  25. hehe, evening micko, zanda and cam
