  1. get the rsm yet bam?
  2. hello
  3. There is a guy in adelaide whose run a 12 second pass on a stockish turbo, I think it was slightly hiflo in japan. He's got just over 210kw@rear wheels, about 280hp. I've got 245hp, yet I still havent been able to crack a 13 yet. Comes back to how you drive the car, those who know what they are doing or have no mechanical sympathy will probably get the best results. I know where my problem lies, its in my launch. When the drags open up again I'm hoping to go down and work on it. That said with the turbo and ecu I'm putting it, it will bring my mod bill to about $10k, I'll only know if I have chosen the right turbo till after its bolted on, from what people (like steve and grant) have said it will produce the goods and I should make 350hp easily. I've also noticed that 245hp in my car does seem quite boring it doesnt have the "seat of the pants" quickness some other cars have with simular mods... *shrug* could be I'm used to the delivery of power from my car.
  4. After seeing gus's car @ the sst dyno day I'd be inclined to say do the ecu first. He's making over 260hp with exhaust, bleed valve and a powerfc and is still using the stock intercooler, and I dont think he's having any drama's with detonation. If you want to put a bigger turbo on or use the car for track work or want to fang its tits off in 30+ degree heat I'd consider the intercooler at some stage.
  5. Ok liz, I'll have $30 for you
  6. No, I forgot all about it... should I pay you?
  7. Yeah thats fine liz, I work in the computer franchise. Just ask one of the sales guys for me and they'll point you in the right direction
  8. That would be great liz, if you could
  9. Hey liz did you drop the shirts off today?

    Rice...?

I dont consider any engine/HP mod rice, just big spoilers and bodykits. Or making something like a 1.8l lancer look like an evo. So for me rice is many external bodyparts.

More a realist I think zanda
  16. With my new turbo we will be making a complete seperate wastegate to exhaust dump+front pipe, they will join back in together just before the cat.

    Rice...?

Thats all well and good, but remember places like nengun and greenline give very cheap prices already.
  18. when my car was dyno just after getting it off the ship it pulled 97kw@rear wheels, that was bog stock standard same way it left the dealership when brand new. After a good cat back exhaust and a small amount of timing it went to 115kw@rear wheels. I've used the same dyno pretty much each time since then. After fitting the front mount, boost controller and HKS pod it made 179kw@rear wheels (boost set to 12psi) and then 183kw@rear wheels after fitting the dump+front pipe. I would say if I fit an aftermarket ecu next I'd be able to just get over 200kw. But the odd thing is the dyno figure my car gave when it first got here, I'm not sure what boost it was running back then (no decent boost gauge and didnt ask the dyno guys if they measured it), anyway the power levels seem on parr with the other guys in WA with simular mods.
  19. If he has a problem with it let me know and I'll pick it up or something.
  20. thats a good size, just on the breast there? That should look good... I reckon a big one would look stupid and nerdy
