  1. Walked in to works auto for some silicon hose and walked out with some silicon hose and a trust turbo... hehe, well it needs to be checked first but I've put a hold on it
  2. which turbo are you putting on sidewaymambo? Why did he change from the td06-20 to the td06-25g?
  3. Adrian check your PM!
  4. hmmm, thats the next size turbo up I think. Thanks for the info, I'll PM him.
  5. hey adrian!
  6. *bump* Any idea's anyone???
  7. It has a return hose to the intake pipe and it has no ventilation.
  8. 'night all
  9. Plus someone wants my r33 turbo, so the end deal is quite attractive But as its sleeved and not ball bearing I want to get it fully checked if its all ok, then I will buy it, still need to do a few things before it goes on... fuel pump, fuel regulator, need to find an external wastegate, might need to change my exhaust manifold although it will bolt straight on. Plus ecu needs doing too... so it'll be a slow process over a few months, but if I get this turbo I should be able to do ecu+turbo and all that goes with it for less than $5k.
  10. Speedworks have one, they checked my timing a while back. But sorry I dont have one.
  11. i also need to find out how laggy, most people have been telling me full boost by 4000rpm, I can live with that... between 3500-4000rpm.
  12. yer i wanna get the turbo checked to make sure its ok, they arnt ball bearing ones it has sleeves so they dont last as long... so long as it checks out i'm buying it.
  13. Anyway, if it all checks out that little trust td06 works auto had might be ending up in my engine bay
  14. I'm looking at putting one of these on my rb25det r33. I'm not sure of the exhaust housing yet, I might get that info tomorrow. Basically I'm after a couple of figures if anyone knows. Firstly running around 1bar of boost at around what rpm would I have full boost? Also any idea on what HP flow @ engine these turbo's are capable of flowing?
  15. I went to works auto today... drooled over a td06-20 turbo
  16. Ok, found the leak... its engine oil. My catch can hoses are kinking and closing up at high temps and causing the dipstick to pop out of its place and the oil is spraying from there... *phew* I got some better quality silicon hose today and I might look at a spring on the dipstick to keep it in
  17. :whackit: this one? hehe... nah I'm sure I didnt spank over the car... its some oil of sorts... I'll have a look tomorrow.
  18. was serviced about 2 weeks ago.
  19. nup... its oily plus its too cold for air con its from the engine area, I'm thinking engine oil, but it seems clear... I'll have a better look in the morning.
  20. I have no idea, I've just noticed it and I cant crawl under the car right now plus its dark, its a small amount on my driveway.
  21. a clear oil like substance, I just noticed on the drivewaya clear liquid that feels like oil to touch (definately not water)... any idea's?
  22. At most its probably 1 to 1.5 hours worth of work wiring it up and then locating it somewhere you want it. If you know what your doing get them to wire it up and then you can place it where you want and save some money. To tune it, I dont think it would take more than 1 hour on the dyno to tune. Most workshops in perth (that specialise in imports) charge around the $50/hr mark to labor and then around the $110 mark for dyno time. If you get the wiring diagram it probably isnt very hard to wire up at all, as thats all your doing when installing it.
  23. mmm... anyway 'night
  24. Hmmm thats odd... paul reckons his is fine... wonder whats going on. I think its the spring on the wastegate actuator.
  25. Troy, paul said your ebc does the same thing as mine...drops the boost when the valve timing kicks in?
