  1. His word vs the court/government's word I dare say he will lose like immacl8 said you need to get things in writing. Either way I also agree with immacl8, its his own fault and he shouldnt be on the road being caught for speeding and DD after already loosing his license. We need to spend more money on educating people, it might sound a bit sick but perhaps these DD people should visit the scene of an accident where a DD was involved and view first hand what's be done. I'm sure I wouldnt like to see that. I was one of the first people onto the scene of an accident last year a drunk had crossed the road infront of a guy on a motorbike and although there didnt appear to be any external injuries the guy looked pretty ****ed up, not something I want to see again. (the guy on the bike was ok, good thing he had a helmet on)
  2. And its about time someone said something about the eriktufa's and the 13_devil's of these forums, the search button exists for that pure reason.
  3. It is pretty unlucky but to blow 0.034 means he has had a couple of drinks and should have waited a little bit before driving, plus picking up another speeding fine after having his license suspended... thats not good even if it was a minor fine.
  4. Bad luck dan, but at the end of the day cars are replace-able and lives arnt, good to hear you are ok. Lesson for everybody here guys, drive safe! I know when I was out yesterday with just that little bit of rain on the roads even in the missus's holden nova it was slippery.
  5. I have a bosch 910 fuel pump.
  6. You'll need to upgrade the fuel pump before the wolf goes on, as for injectors probably not, just get them cleaned and flow tested before pushing the engine, if 1 injector is down on flow it can blow the engine.
  7. I run the wolf with the map sensor and no AFM I dont have any idle problems or fuel efficiency problems. Without the AFM its one less part thats restricting my total power output.
  8. By basic I mean dont have an aggressive timing curve. Too much advanced timing will lead to detonation and cracked ringlands
  9. So because its been said in whoretown it isnt valid? You need to get used to the fact that this is a forum and I can voice my own opinion.
  10. Because you have asked this same question over and over and over again in the WA whoretown thread and I am sick and tired of giving you replies when you dont listen to the advice given.
  11. Opps... meant to say "its a known fact all the smart people are in Perth"
  12. Yep would have to be a very basic tune, nothing too agressive with the timing. However your engine must be in excellent condition to start with.
  13. Get a license first... and then a brain.
  14. Injector cycle was at 70% on 1.0bar... not sure if 1.2bar would have maxed it out. running a bosch 910 pump and uprated fuel pressure regulator.
  15. My engine had average compression on cyclinder 6 and above average compression on all others before we starting tuning. Then when I ran 1.2bar of boost and a month later lost compression piston 6 and 3 had broken ringlands, I can understand why 6 failed but not 3 any idea's ?
  16. Funny that the fastest r33 on a stock turbo was run by a guy with a stock intercooler too. talk to rev210 I think it was a 13.3 on the stock turbo, intercooler, ecu and on 205/55 tyres. According to you lot with a bigger fmic you should go faster because your making more power right?
  17. Good news liz
  18. I didnt dyno my car before and after I fitted the fmic, the only difference I noticed is that the car wouldnt ping on hot days when my boost controller was set at 12psi. You might gain a few HP but nothing as major as 20-25kw's that he posted originally.
  19. Good work ant, that will shove it up those eastern states wankers. Well done to SST for their contrubutes as well
  20. since when does adding a fmic increase HP? didnt for me, allowed me to run more boost in hotter temperature without detonation.
  21. People can still be hurt/killed at controlled motorsport area's such as that marshall at the australian formula one and I am sure a child was killed at the speedway when a tyre flew off a car and struck him/her. Motorsport in any form is dangerous be it illegal or legal
  22. Having met most of the people on this forum from WA I doubt anyone on here would use the excuse "i can drive dangerously because I have completed a course to drive this HP rated car in these conditions". If you're caught doing something you weren't supposed to be doing own up and confess don't play hardball as your more likely to get dragged over the coal pit by doing so. A while back I was caught doing 30km/hr over the limit (and it wasnt in the skyline, this was 7-8 years ago) the police car was heading the opposite direction and saw me speeding off so they stopped in traffic and proceeded to chase me, seeing the lights and hearing the siren going I immediately pulled over and waited for them to catch up in the end we were both courteous to each other and they didnt ask me to pop the hood or threaten me and I was only fined $150 and 3 points I'm sure the fine at the time would have been higher than that.
  23. How about in order for someone to purchase a car with xxx HP they need to do an advanced driver training course to ensure they can handle it. I'm all for self improvement and feel that the money earned from traffic infringments be spent on educating the public on how to drive rather than pointing the finger as always though its been the stupid few that have ruined it for us enthusiasts. The number of times I have seen that yellow skyline on the news doing a rolling burnout through a public carpark I'm sure he thought he was dog top back then. As a point of interest does anyone know what happens to the money from the speed camera fines? Anyone got any figures on how much they raise in revenue per year? With all that extra earning how about they give us a tax break *chuckle* Speaking of fines I got flashed on the way to work a couple of weeks back, 7km's over the limit $100 fine and 1 point lost.... geeez its so annoying when you get a fine like that.
