  2. Due to speedworks being flat out, it looks like monday now *sigh* the intercooler that was never meant to be
  3. Get a bleed valve, plumb it to 12psi, fang the absolute tits off your car in 30+ degree heat. *disclaimer* if you damage your car from information I have provided stiff shit
  4. well as I said, how much?
  5. Well the cooler is going in right now. I went down around 1pm to see if I could get some installation pics but they hadnt started yet Should be all done by the time I pick it up, has to be serviced too, hope they have enough time I'm going to dyno it tonight, I'll post some pics of it installed then.
  6. Err... $50?
  7. I'll be at SST getting my car dyno'd after fitment of a trust fmic, around 7-7:30pm, more than welcome to come along and look
  8. How much for the rear strut brace?
  9. Steve, I'm not going to get into the arguement about garret and hks. Yes garret make turbo's for hks, but some of the garret turbo's will not give the same results as a hks unit (such as the hks 2540's) and simularly most garret parts will not fit a hks unit. Personally I'd go a hks unit over the garret, but its a question of costs.
  10. Sorry I read the article wrong... here's the quote; "probably the most popular option is the HKS 2835 Pro bolt on kit, rated at 370ps and capable of a bit more. For more headroom again, a unique option is the GT2837R from Power House Amuse.... The GT2837R is based on a Garret GT28 core, with a simularly sized exhaust housing to the HKS 2835 Pro, but with a larger compressor, which is simular to the infamous HKS 3037...." With std adaptor and manifold pipes the Chaser made 400ps on the dynopak dyno @ 1bar, 435ps @ 1.2bar and 455ps @ 1.3bar. Sounds like a fairly beasty turbo... and its a garret not a HKS
  11. 150 bucks is cheap for a HKS gauge
  12. I will have this HKS boost gauge for sale in 4-6 weeks. $150 if you want.
  13. I was reading HPi this morning and there was a toyota with a hks 2835 (rated to flow 370ps) but the engine dyno'd to 445ps... whats this mean dave?
  14. You need some graphics program to re-size them. My camera is a 3megapixel unit so I just use adobe photoshop to resize them to 800x600.
  15. This was taken about 1.5 months ago @ the wedgewood factory in the UK, its in their own little cafe where they serve food on their own wedgewood plates. My missus *had* to have a picture of that... dunno why
  16. Ze goggles zey do nuthing!
  17. The 300HP I was referring to was red17's remark about injectors. As far 1/4 mile times you talking about me?
  18. Is that 300HP at the engine or wheels? 300HP = 224KW, so if its at the wheels I was only slightly out

    Look out

Hmmm... I applied for the import approval in my name... I dont know how you can apply in someone else's name as its your vehicle, but then I've only done it once. Geoff would know all the in's and out's.
  20. most injectors reach 100% duty cycle by 200 rear wheel KW. you will need to replace them.
  21. Yeah I have a black car... best get someone else to do it.
  22. Its only 10 months old too, but as its stainless steel it should keep its lustre. Here's a crappy pic (taken with my dv camcorder trying to be a still camera) of when I got it put on.
  23. I'd keep the current cooler, but to get 250 rear wheel kilowatts I think you'll need the bigger turbo, plus aftermarket ecu, uprated fuel system (fuel pump, bigger injectors) and you'd be close. You might have to get a thicker head gasket to drop compression to run higher boost with no detonation which will make bottom end torque suffer. The trust 600x244x76 cooler will support 450-500hp, so your HKS shouldnt have any problems with 250kw @ wheels. Go for the HKS GT2540 over the GT2530.
  24. Crapola... maybe next year we can organise some fund raising of some sort? Sausage sizzles are always good fun Be nice to see some 9second contenders
  25. Nup, I just got some paper towels and wipped the shit out of the exhaust and then polished the barrel on the outside with more paper towels.
