    dyno day

Sundays seem to be bad for Ivan... what's saturdays like for people? I work saturdays (probably the busiest day of the week for me) But if we get enough people I can always take an RDO.

    dyno day

Well, spoke to ivan. The dyno's at JRT in bentley so we'll have to do it there (welshpool area). Its ok for me as I live that way and I know a few other people do, sorry for NOR people though. Everyone is welcome to come and bring people who dont use this forum, as I said we need between 10-13 confirmed people before it really becomes a viable option.
  4. Paul can you hold me one of each? I'll pick them up off you directly as I work monday to saturday.

Yeah, when I tried to set this up last-time he was more than happy to have it at speedworks and stuff. Cant really exclude GTR people but wrx people yes hehe.
  6. Stickers still available I wouldnt mind one of each?

    dyno day

Ok, how about we try early April then? I'm down at speedworks tomorrow, I'll talk to them about it and see if its still possible. It'd be good to get about 12-15 people as it takes roughly 15-20 minutes for each rwd car and abotu 30 mins for 4wd cars.

    dyno day

Will be a sunday, so that I'm not working
  10. I wouldnt mind next year... how much did it cost you all up? I've always wanted to have a look at JMS they seem to one of the most popular spare parts and tuning places in australia, must have shares in hot4's and HPI I think always getting plugs from them.
  11. When the weather cools down are people still interested in having a dyno day @ speedworks using their dynapak dyno? I tried to set one up before I went to the UK a few months back, any interest??? Probably be around $30/car.
  12. You cant handle the truth
  13. I'll have some pics tomorrow probably. Going to go down (all 500 metres away speedworks are from my work) and take some pre-install photo's and trust intercooler goodness... *droool* Hey dave where can I get some of that thermo tape wrap stuff... I might wrap the pipes before they go on? and then do the dump pipe/front pipe to cat when thats done too. Might be an idea to actually wrap some tape around that pipe that goes into the manifold over the engine that seems to get damn hot.
  14. errr... I dunno where they got $16k as market value of a gts-T, maybe the gts but definately not the turbo. More like 24,000.
  15. Front bar?!?!?! Front bar's are for women! I plan on turning up with no front bar and just the whole core exposed! Only to be driving behind some **** who flicks a rock up at it hehe, joking.
  16. Well the cooler is here, anyone want to donate some funds to the "pay for robs intercooler" fund? Should be in the car in couple of weeks.
  17. Ok, rang up RAC this morning to get my policy sorted out from 92 r32 gtr back to 94 r33 gtst and told them about the mods (intercooler, boost controller). They rang me back and said yup no problems your premium stays at $950/year (for 22500 and maximum ncb). So looks like I'll be staying with RAC till HBF do cover mods, shame HBF was nearly $200/year cheaper and although I'd love to save that a year its not worth the hassle of getting a claim denied because of mods. So if your already with RAC on the car, stay with them as it may be worth it if you plan on mod'ing or already have mod'ed the car. I suppose if you are running a bleed valve its hard for an assessor to know what he's looking for but with an EBC it sticks out unless its hidden in glove box or something. Cant hide a fmic either
  18. What results do you think I will attain with my trust unit then? Will I get slower 1/4 mile times? I can see how moving the side mounted intercooler to the front would assist with air-flow, but at the same time the stock cooler can only flow so much cooler air to the turbo and because of its small size can only cool the air slightly. A friend of mine with a 180sx mounted a GTR cooler into the front nose of his car and even with the limited flow (180sx's nose must suck for a front mount as hardly any of it is exposed at the front due to it dipping off) he noticed the car running considerably better and actually found boost to come on quicker. Before the fmic he was running 14.1's with it he ran a 13.6 I think, no other adjustments. Anyway with the fmic and lower tyre pressures I hope to be biting at rev's heels
  19. Mind you my RAC premium is $944 (thats with maximum NCB) the HBF on the same insured amount was $760something. Nearly $200 difference.
  20. I think anyone that fits a FMIC is planning on a turbo upgrade of some sort, whether it be hiflo'ing or a larger turbo, as once you've done the fmic there isnt much else that can increase the power of the car but increasing the turbo (after ecu, fuel system etc). But at the same time once you start to play with the boost you really need to get a better intercooler to control temperatures. No point in fitting something slightly bigger than the stock one just to suit the stock turbo.
  21. Well, I am with them now and when my re-newall came through it listed my car as a R32 GTR. I might ring them up and see what the story is.
  22. I love driving my car in winter on a cold dry night, its such a different beast. Intercooler should be here soon though which will help immensely I hope
  23. Cant insure with RAC they dont do imports.
  24. the trust unit is 600x244x76mm with 60mm piping, whats yours?
  25. Got a number for famous? btw: I'm 25, 26 later this year, does that matter?
