  1. A lot of people advertise "FREE Suspension Check" particually people who sell replacement suspension this bothers me, as I'm not 100% confident I will get the right answer when taking my car in there and getting my suspension checked. Does anyone know where I can go to get an unbiased opinion on whether my suspension is shagged or not?
  2. Anyone heard of Lovells springs? Any good?
  3. I have a blitz power sus filter, except its for the stock airbox and is not an airpod. You can have it for $50.
  4. Sorry my bad, I didnt read the post properly and just saw the r32 part dont worry about me
  5. The front bumper do you know if that is a m-spec bar? do you have any pics and what colour? and what sort of condition is the steering wheel and did it come from a series 1?
  6. I have a td06-20g on my rb25det and its the ducks nuts. Been for a drive in my mates gt30 equiped rb25det and it's fast too but my car pulls harder and stronger and keeps pulling to the rev limiter, 7500rpm, we are considering taking it up another 500-1000rpm
  7. I thought you sold it? does it have the adaptor plate so that it will bolt onto the stock position?
  8. 1 million dollars... ahem... one million dollars isnt exactly a lot of money these days, virtucon makes 9 billion dollars alone. I'll post the price when its ready for sale.
  9. I found a nice 1988 cefiro today with a rb25det and gearbox conversion... me wantee bad. I'm thinking that will be my next project after I sell this car.
  10. It would be eligable for import when it reaches 15 years old if the current 15 year old rule stays the same, meaning that only a few things would need to be carried out to register it on the road it wouldnt need to be returned to stock as per a RAWS compliance. If you read the guff on the page with the pics you might understand why it says "and will be eligible for import under the 15 year rule from AUGUST 2004"
  11. If you dont plan on changing the turbo but want to maximise your HP follow this setup: 1. 3" dump+front pipe off the turbo to the cat. (this is help the stock turbo to spool 500rpm earlier) 2. 3.5" cat back exhaust. If max hp is your aim go for something like an apexi n1 system which has no resonator's and is pretty free flowing, downside is its quite loud and you could get a defect. 3. Stronger/heavier clutch, just a single plate unit with 2200-2500pound pressure plate and a lightweight (ogura flywheel is 4.5kg's lightest around) flywheel. This will help you put the power to the ground and make the car more free reving. 4. Boost controller. If you are doing this on a budget a simple bleed valve will do the job or if you have the dosh buy an electronic one as they hold boost better, dont spike and build it faster usually. However if you decide to get an aftermarket ecu some of them have boost control built in. 5. Aftermarket ecu or SAFC. If you want to make maximum hp go for the ecu it will cost more but will make the car much more fun to drive. A wolf3d has built in boost control as well which is a plus but more people around australia can tune the powerfc. 6. Exhaust cam gear + better brake pads. Cam gear will give more midrange and you will now need some better brake pads to help you pull up. With all this you should have somewhere between 280-300hp (dyno dependant) but this is what we have been seeing in perth on a dyno dynamics accredited dyno. Have I left anything out?
  12. Shame I also have a bubs on the way or I would do you a swap. My 340hp r33 for your GTR plus some cash... but sadly I will be selling my car to buy another sedan for the missus, hopefully I will have some spare cash left over to start my new project
  13. turbo matching is obviously a very difficult art. It comes down to what the owner wants, low down response matching the stock turbo's low down boost, or top end power
  14. The garrett or hks is a ball bearing turbo, so in should spool quicker than the trust sleeve bearing unit. I dont think the 16cm^2 unit is laggy, I wouldnt call full boost at 4200rpm laggy when I'm making 250+kw @ wheels. I'm sure with cams and adjustable cam gears and a better manifold (I am still runing the stock exhaust manifold) I could get it down much lower.
  15. Steve & Ant @ SST are the go. Both of them have had a rather large hand in modifying most of the cars on this forum as well as keeping them running.
  16. To give you an idea I gained 18kw @ wheels from changing to a apexi n1 cat back system from the stock exhaust. With any car, turbo's particularly, the first thing to change is the thing that restricts the exhaust gas flow the most, namely the exhaust. Put a good system on and when you do things like increase the boost you will gain more HP than if you left the stock exhaust on.
  17. The smallest part of my exhaust is the shitty 2.5" cat used for compliance. I have always wondered how much difference a 3" straight through pipe would make, the only thing stopping me (apart from the fine) is the noise level. With the N1 system my car is very noisy already and I dont want to draw more attention than I have already to the cops.
  18. Probably find the gt3040 will spool up a bit quicker, I have a td06-20g comes on full boost around 4200rpm, thus far on 1bar we made 339hp. I have just started playing with my boost controller and wound it up to 1.1bar and it feels like its made a large difference, definately getting more wheelspin... eventually we'll get it on the dyno and tune it for 1.2bar I'll post the results when on hand.
  19. pm me your details again pls
  20. Got any pics?
  21. how about for nix seeing as I bought your front bar?
  22. Anyone got any atmo bovs lying around that they want to sell or trade? PM me with details. thanks
  23. I have the RSPL unit and I find it works well with my td06-20g turbo, I bought it back in the time before I found other people selling them (like nengun) and ended up paying around $2500 fitted. Compared to what I could have got it for from nengun a premium price, I am happy with it though plus I didnt have to worry about it getting here all damaged.
  24. I plan on visiting my mechanic this week and tuning for 1.2bar and then hopefully a trip down the drags with some slicks, hoping for a high 11 pass.
  25. You may not need injectors, I'm making 339hp @ 70% duty cycle on my stock injectors. The only mods to my fuel supply have been a bosch 910 pump and removing the injectors (to make sure they were stock) to be cleaned and flow tested before tuning the ecu.
