  1. Well done niz
  2. You will definately need a bigger intercooler, even with a hiflo you should put a fmic on.
  3. I have the 600x244x76mm trust rspl unit was told it should support at least 500hp @ engine.
  4. Something is only worth as much as some people are willing to pay for it.
  5. I had a few issues with cold starts and re-starting on my wolf3d v4 but its all been sorted now with a software update from wolf done by steve. I have noticed it does take a little more to turn over and start but since the update its started everytime firsttime and without having to give it any gas. For the money the wolf3d is hard to go past but with the soaring aussie dollar the powerfc is getting cheaper either one will do the job for a street car.
  6. 255kw @ 1.0bar on a 35mm turbosmart ultragate. Should be trying 1.2bar soon... I'll let you know.
  7. I too have stock injectors and have made 340hp so far at around 70% duty cycle. In the next couple of weeks I want to raise the boost to 1.2bar so we'll see how well the fuel system copes, this far I have only upgraded to a bosch 910 pump.
  8. The only problem I find with bendix ultimate is you need to clean your wheels weekly with the brake dust
  9. Evening all
  10. Without going for a drive with you its hard to say 100%, but I'd be pretty sure the engines detonating. Its sounds like marbles rattling around or a loose screw rattling around. I would say with the extra heat, the safc2 leaning the fuel mixture out and using a stock intercooler the car's detonating. Basic fix dont thrash the car in the heat or richen up the fuel mix.
  11. Must be time for another cruise
  12. I got a drill, made some holes and bolted it on.
  13. Evening
  14. To freight 2 18x8" rims from melb to perth was $50 and those were lightweight enkei's too.
  15. 16x7 or 16x8 I'd say, I got 225 rubber over my 16x7 rims.
  16. 13.888 @ 110mph with a 2.6s 60' time from memory. I kept on shifting around 6500 instead of 7500 and was dropping off boost. I'd only had the car back from tuning for less than a week and didnt realise the rev limiter had been moved
  17. Yeah I ran a crappy track time. Sometime in the new year we (a bunch of us with 300hp+ cars) will be going down to the plex again (when they set they prep it properly) and running a set of slicks. Recently a r33 with a gt2540 and 306hp ran a 12.3 with a 2.0s 60' time on slicks he didnt want to launch too hard, if he had he probably could have gotten into the 11's. So we will re-tune mine for a bit more boost, probably 1.2bar, and head down with the slicks and should run a high 11.
  18. why's that? I wouldnt call my car a dyno queen its got good mid range power
  19. We are? who are you talking about?
  20. Personally I'd like a drive in the car. I can remember when we fitted the larger fuel pump into my car and it richened up the AFR's (prior to the wolf3d going in) it made the car very sluggish. After fitting the wolf3d and adjusting the timing and afr the car was drastically different, at one point in the curve it made more than 100hp than before. I'm just wondering if the rich ecu tune would make the car sluggish as well, if the car is sluggish I would say its been tuned to be a dyno queen and not much else.
  21. Read my first post simon, I asked if it was tuned rich to stop detonation and I'm still waiting on a reply. I dont see the point in running it so rich just so you can run more boost, surely the car would have more seat of the pants if you advanced the ignition timing and ran it a little leaner but with less boost but as you said simon I'm not a tuner... are you?
  22. If the engine is stock 1.6bar of boost will kill it pretty quickly, even with that rich rich AFR Best retune it for 1.2bar and muck around with the ignition timing and AFR's
  23. Yeah buy a GTR.
